In light of Sergio Aguero’s knee injury, we delve into the data to highlight a number of forwards’ weekend displays. Wilfried Bony and Robin van Persie’s fine form arrives under the spotlight, whilst we also assess Diego Costa’s recent toils for Chelsea. The Gunners’ weekend scorers and Tottenham’s in-form Dane are also amongst this evening’s topics as Fantasy managers look to spend that left over budget from the Aguero fall-out.
-
I'm glad Aguero is having this little break. The game is much better for it.
-
especially with the fixtures he would have had, would have been all the same captaincy throughout december. this mixes it up a LOT.
-
Screwed my team but yeah better game though
-
Squads will really change up. If he's out until end of \\jan the WC's will throw up so much more.
-
Yeah...It's in a good place right now. Kane at one end and RVP at the other and I've no idea who is better really...probably not a lot in it..
-
-
Absolutely. No gimmes any more.
-
I agree
I said the same thing last year when we all had Suarez every week
Much more fun playing about with options -
sad, but true.
Kun is one of favourite players to watch.
from a fantasy football point of view though, his absence really makes things more unpredictable and exciting.-
He timed it just right..80%+ captaincy and 90%+ownership the week he got injured...It was getting daft
-
-
-
With the Jan WC on the horisan is offensive changes better the defensive?
-
Not sure what to do with my keeper situation:
Courtois, Hamer.
Court ->
a) Alnwick for the money
b) De Gea
c) Hart
d) Save FT and role with Hamer-

Foster | Myhill
Hutton | Clichy | wisdom | Dummett | Taylor Newcastle
Fabregas | Yaya | hazard | Sanchez | Siggy
Costa | Sakho | bony
Should I do Fabregas to Downing?
Gives me extra 3m to upgrade defence.
Cheers-
Fab to Eriksen
-
Yeah
-
-
If I do this
Siggy to Eriksen
Dzeko to Bony
It gives me a front eight
Yaya, hazard, Sanchez, Eriksen, Downing
Kane, Bony, Austin
Who do you bench ?-
kane
-
Would you still do the transfers ?
-
Maybe just Dzeko to Bony
-
-
Or should I sell Costa instead? Concerned about his high ownership killing me when he goes wild
-
With Burnley at home?
-
-
That surely depends on the week in question and your injuries
-
got to be kane but i would not do the transfers
-
What would you do ?
-
-
-
Need to get rid of Chadli;
Courtois (Mannone)
Azpilicueta, Clichy, Naylor (Smalling, Hutton)
Downing, Yaya, Sanchez, Oscar (Chadli)
Rooney, Kane, Bony
Chadli to Mata/Eriksen/Cazorla/8.5m ?-
Eriksen next two fixtures look good
-
Eriksen
-
Cheers fellas, Eriksen does look tasty with those fixtures, I'm just concerned about his consistency as he often goes a few games without producing.
Maybe it's just my memories of Cazorlas 12/13 season getting the better of me...
-
-
-
I was thinking of giving the armband to Bony next week but now i don't think it'd be such a good idea. Swansea scored only one goal per game in the last five games and while i do think it's possible that he's going to score two goals i also think that he's not the safest option.
Any other owner feels this way?-
Don't think I'd captain him away from home.
There's also always the slight chance he gets benched for Gomis.-
yeah, Bony is no captain material away.
-
-
-
Best 3 players next week will be...?
I'm going RVP, Austin, Sanchez-
Yaya
-
yaya , alexis and costa
-
Ronaldo, Messi, Ibrahimovic.
-
According to solskjaer today, eriksen is better than ibrahimovic ("best player in scandinavia, by a mile")
-
Not what he said, and it was pointed out at the time.
Don't spam false statements.-
What did he say then?
-
I was curious, so I rewound. "one of"
http://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/2014/12/14/the-dugout-discussion-sunday-39/?hc_page=48#hc_comment_9143053-
cheers, didn't realize you had clarified that. makes sense then. solskjaer is still a daft prikc though 😀
-
-
-
-
-
-
Austin, Caroll, Kane.
-
Carroll, Kane, Mangala
-
Lol @ mangala
-
Random players score well in individual weeks.
Would people have guessed Heaton before this weekend?
Defenders who score and get a CS have as good a chance as anyone.-
How often has mangala scored this year?
Anyway... I figured Heaton would do well 😉-
he has a point - how often did Hutton score in the 4 years before his goal?
-
I don't think anyone in the world would guess he'd be the highest scorer!
No idea, but he's a big lad and looks a threat in the air. It only takes one!-
Bet you a fiver he isn't among top 3 scorers 😉
-
-
-
-
-
-
Yaya Eriksen Carroll
-
Yaya, RVP, Downing
-
add YAYA to that list.
-
Zabaleta, Eriksen, Yaya
-
benteke, sterling, mangala
-
-
Who do i bring in for Oscar until Jan WC?
Sánchez Yaya Silva?-
I'm not sure he'd want any of those.
-
Eh?
-
-
Sanchez
-
has to be sanchez if you dont have him
-
-
Too early to do Dzeko > RVP?
-
He's rising tonight.
-
If your set on it
-
Its the right time
-
If Dzeko is confirmed out with the calf-knack, no. VP has good fixtures to GW30. If Dzeko's not confirmed out, then yes.
-
-
Food for thought:
Mata now has more points than ADM, Chadli, and Yaya, has started 4 straight games, and his fixtures until the Jan WC ends are:... avl, NEW, tot, sto, SOU, qpr, LEI.
As you were.-
Also, Eriksen has as many points as Fabregas.... 3rd overall for mids. 😯
-
Just worrying with ADM and falcao returning that things may get mixed up
-
When's adm back ?
-
i don't know
-
-
Lol at Chadli being included in that.
-
for a time chadli was one of the top scoring mids...
-
Yeah I know, I just can't help but associate his name with a terrible footballer!
-
and his manager finally realised that lol
-
-
-
-
My thoughts also
If adm returns then Wilson would get dropped and Rooney up front
-
-
May have suffered this week in FPL but at least I've still got it where it counts. United win means since I set it up I have doubled my money in my Paddy Power account 😎
-
real money means nothing compared to FPL mate, you've got it all wrong!
-
This!!
-
I'll take what I can get 😆
-
you better be funneling that money straight into membership subscriptions for FPL-related sites 😀
-
Sure why would I want to be wasting all my money on that when I have you to feed me stats? 😉
-
Touche 😛
Maybe you should be paying ME 😉
-

5p x 2?

My betfair account has gone up 5 fold since I started.
Now where do I find the cool face thing??-

Or

Tempted to do C at the moment. Give me cash to get Yaya or city defender -
Got to feel for Falcao
Being benched for Wilson 😆 -
What should I do guys?
Foster (qpr)
Baines (sot)/Rangel (hul)/Dummett (SUN)
Sanchez/Hazard/Siggy/Downing
Bony/Costa/Lukaku
Gilks/Marney/Cameron/Hutton
1 FT 3.4 ITB
A) Cameron --> Zab/Demi
B) Save FT

Only difference was first half sterling ruins it second half ballo ruins it
-
New keeper
Play Sakho
Play can and not Allen
Play Sturridge and new striker
Drop Johnson, Allen, Lovren and Mignolet asap
-
-
Is it surprise when they played a side with no one who can finish?
Sterling, Coutinho and Lallana are all good players, but none of them are good finishers. -
***Man Utd offside goal
-
You need "De Gea saves" after the Liverpool attack.
-
-
Template strike force suggestions from this week
I'm going
Costa, Austin, bony -
You are all lovely people!
-
Is community scout pick out already
-
-
Hey guys, how's everyone's week been? Slightly below average for myself and really not changed rank since GW8.
-
Best week in a while mate, top 1k is in sight 🙂
-
Good thanks, all's green 🙂 It only takes 1 or 2 good GWs to have a big jump in rankings
-
Very nice lads, keep it going!
-
-
Should be my biggest jump for quite a while. Finally getting close to the Top 10K.
-
I guess you can't complain too much if you're not changing rank!
-
-
Given Azpilicueta and Dezko didn't start, I'm pretty happy with 70 points from 8 players with 2 more points to come from the bench and Baines still to play.
-
-
At the moment I'm benching Siggy next week. Is this the right choice?
Other options: Baines, Ivanovic-
doubt those are the only options
-
Dummett vs Sunderland at home and Cresswell vs Leicester at home have to play
-
Bench Dummett. Tyne Weir Derby anything can happen
-
hmmm Sunderland did well last year but newcastle should be up for some revenge!
-
-
-
don't want to bench costa, downing or sanchez
-
yeah, Siggy bench makes sense
-
thx
-
-
-
-
-
Would you swap Sakho or Kane fur RVP?
And then Oscar to Hazard for a hit? Or get rid of Wagamama? -
Chambers or Clyne out for Clichy?
-
Just asked same below 🙂
-
-
i'm listening on radio. Google it
-
What's up
-
Just googled this radio thing you speak of. Interersting concept. Like podcasts but continuous 😆
-
-
Eriksen now 4th highest mid
-
Who would you prioritise out Chambers or Clyne?
-
Sanchez | Hazard | Fabregas | Sig | Boyd
Costa | Austin | Dzeko
£2.1m ITB
I have exact money to do:
Dzeko + Costa -> Rvp + Bony
Madness? For a hit.-
Good moves imo
-
