I'll avg one a week by seasons end...I did the same last year and finished 18k, so that's my target.
First 2 seasons i played i was taking 8 and 12 hits every week, slowed down now doing quite well

its not the points cost that matters its the net benefit you reaped from them............which is fairly impossible to calculate by the end of the season
Yes thats very true, i should have rephrased the question, how many points have you spent on transfer cost
this season only 8.........but i usually hit hard and have done previous seasons
like i say a -8 to remove injured players and replace them with scoring ones is of more benfit than no hit...... so hits arent all bad, its just hard to judge over a long period

Silva or NASRI?
So with Sigurdssons very consistent blanks away from home, and 3 out of 4 games untill possible January WC being away from home, I decided to check If I wanted to keep him or not.
The last 10 games (6 home and 4 away) Siggy has these stats per game:
Home Away
Key pass 3,5 1,5
Shots 1,8 2
Assists 0,7 0
Goals 0,2 0
With 2 goals in total this season, assists is the main source of points for Sigurdsson, and as we can see he has more than double the amount of key passes at home compared to away from home, so from only looking at this it seems he should on average return a lot more points at home (as he has).
The away-games was to Stoke, Everton, Manchester City and West Ham, so you could say that it was relatively though fixtures that caused his low stats, and indeed, the away-games he blanked in before these last 10 games were Chelsea and Sunderland, both difficult fixtures.
It's difficult to conclude if it was the fixtures or the fact that he played away (probably a little bit of both) - but it is tempting to keep him for Hull(A), Villa(H), Liverpool(A) and QPR(A) despite 3 away games in that time.. Anyone has thoughts on this? The alternative could be to upgrade him to Eriksen etc..nice post, but im doin a classic knee jerk
I think Siggy is still a decent option for his price, but he hasn't really shown a lot of goal threat most of the season so if you have the funds/transfers, he's worth trying to upgrade to a player like Eriksen/Oscar who probably have more upside.
About the home/away platoons: Wasn't the narrative before the season that he'd historically been much better on the road? So my guess would be that you're right: It's more about the opposition than the location.Oh I didn't know that, if he historically from earlier season have been good away from home I think I'll keep him, at least one more week, cheers
Can anyone clear up a couple of queries for me regarding the FFS fantasy cup:
1) Do transfers over and above your FT count towards your total? I.e if GW points are 52 but you made 2 transfers but only had one FT, does your total become 48 for the purposes of the cup?
2) If scores are level what mechanism is used to determine the winner?
