Granville and I get cosy on a two-seater sofa – within touching distance – just how he likes it.

In truth, my-host is getting too close for comfort: the mini-league gap is down to just 42 points, with Granville relentlessly chiping away at my previously unassailable lead.

We review Gameweek 16’s events, including my oh-so bitter Dzeko pill, before discussing De Gea’s uncanny form, the demise of Leighton Baines and my latest set-to with Jonty: are there better options than Diego Costa up top?

The regulars wrap themselves around that lot, while Granville, thankfully, keeps his hands to himself.

Snuggle up to the noise via this link or get up close and personal via the player below…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Yes I think so (United fan)

Wilson only played as Falcao wasn't 100% fit and LVG wanted to use his pace to expose Lpool.
Falcao & RvP up top on Sat IMO

That doesnt really matter when LvG doesnt seem to agree, does it?

No, it doesn't matter at all...if LVG decides he's fit he doesn't play...but if Falcao thinks he's fit and doesn't play then he may start looking for a way out soon.

Thats the kind of coach LvG is, atleast thats my understanding of the man. Has some insane demands from his players on the physichal side... Idk why they even bought him in the first place, not too sure if LvG even wanted him or if it was more of a "gimmick" buy for the club..

Im not completely sure as i dont really follow LvG or United that tightly, but thats my understanding. Insane demands which tire out a lof his players, and some even say thats the reason behind his teams having a lot of injuries. Falcao beeing injured when he came to the club basically doesnt really fit that profile, idk.

I think he's out of favour.

Wilson was probably a one off as LVG wanted his pace in behind the Liverpool defence.

Expect Rooney to go back up top, with Herrera coming into midfield - Di Maria if fit.

Back on the last page with the worst bandwagon, it has to be the budget strikers.

Me too but generally the weaker teams are normally far stronger at home. If a player in decent form had difficult fixtures at home (i.e. Southampton players) i'd consider dropping/not getting them

I dont really have a lot of other things i want to spend money on atm, and he should by definition be the only safe option that wont be rotated from City.. And Villa dont really have that great fixtures, i mean theyre alright but nothing fantastic.. Citys 4-5-6 next fixtures youd think atleast 4-5 cs over that time..

😀 If i do do that transfer (do-do) then i cant get Sterling in for Downing the next week.. Might just have to safe transfer and get a City defender in for Cresswell the week after, huge letdown that hes been for me..

Well they could easily have 2 cleansheets at home to S`land and Palce, so i guess theres not a lot in it.

I do think it's a potential move for me, but devils advocate is very affective way to audit a transfer
I'm just concerned that the potential points benefit is limited

Any chance caballero might get a start with fixture pile up? Gk usually prone to rotation but has come in for Hart here and there. Too much for me...especially if end up wanting 3 city players later

Lots of sub 9.0 mids on the radar all of a sudden... All of the below & more... I wonder if 3-5-2 will emerge as a favourite, with 2 big hitting defenders, harry kane as the first subsitute, and an elite/midprice front 2, e.g. RVP/giroud

    Cazorla
    Silva
    Eriksen
    Nasri
    Siggy
    Downing
Fab (if u got at 9.0)
    Sterling

Even theo & ADM to a certain extent although they are >9.0 admittedly.

      my plan for jab WC,

1 big hitter then rotating bunch of 5.0 and under def

Heavy Midfield (3/4 heavy 1/2 mid)

      Decent Attack

Aguero (late WC) and mid price st

I can see the appeal but the first 4 on that list are notorious for regular 2/3 pointers. Can't build a team around them

good to go? 1FT, 4.3m itb.

    Hart
    Azpi - Clichy - Baines
    Hazard - Sanchez - Downing - Chadli
    Costa - Austin (C) - Fletcher

    Guzan - Boyd - Chambers - Wasilewski.

a bit worried since 3 names are benched last week - not to mention Dzeko which is a waste of FT 🙁

Swap Saylor and Naylor. NEW v. SUN is an unpredictable derby and NEW are all of a sudden not setting the world on fire defensively. Unsure of YYT (C), I'm deliberating it myself.

Thoughts on this team and transfer options please:

    Forster (Elliot)
    Baines, Cahill, Naylor (Wilson, Hutton)
    Hazard, Sanchez, Siggy, Downing
    Costa, Bony, Austin

    a) Forster > Hart
    b) Wilson > City defender (Zaba most likely)
    c) Save FT
    d) Any other suggestions...

Tough. Wilson > Zaba makes you heavy at the back. Forster > Hart is safe but no save points of BP likely.
