The ScoutCast – Episode 146 – Closer

Granville and I get cosy on a two-seater sofa – within touching distance – just how he likes it.

In truth, my-host is getting too close for comfort: the mini-league gap is down to just 42 points, with Granville relentlessly chiping away at my previously unassailable lead.

We review Gameweek 16’s events, including my oh-so bitter Dzeko pill, before discussing De Gea’s uncanny form, the demise of Leighton Baines and my latest set-to with Jonty: are there better options than Diego Costa up top?

The regulars wrap themselves around that lot, while Granville, thankfully, keeps his hands to himself.

Snuggle up to the noise via this link or get up close and personal via the player below…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

giving a prediction that has basis in history is scaremongering? 🙄

They have already conceded goals to Stoke, Hull (w/o Hart), West Ham, QPR (w/o Kompany), Swansea, and Sunderland (w/o Kompany) this season.

They also conceded to Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Spurs though I left those out above because they're arguably better teams.

Yeah, but their recent record is decent and they are playing a team who are 4th bottom and they arent exactly scoring loads of goals.

United, Spurs, Everton, West Ham all in with a decent chance..

not saying they're not a great option..just saying City isn't exactly rock solid and is going through a mini-crisis

no I just mean in terms of their squad selection..many are saying Komps ain't been great, but not having him nor any strikers isn't a fun situation heading into the festive hectic period

Everyone will tell you zabaleta. Then clichy then demi. My opinion is mangala, he is on 4 ycs but if he doesn't pick one up then he is the only one who won't be rested. Not only that but his attacking threat is a lot higher than anyone thinks it is.

Anyone else thinking Jose will rest Hazard this weekend? Considering he played 84 minutes the other night in Capital Cup, and they're playing away where Hazard doesn't seem to perform. I think Jose will give him an early rest so that he's ready for Christmas schedule.
