Our Friday lunchtime regular arrives once again, as we take a look at the PlayON Player Price List ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. As always, we offer a couple of picks per position: one essential weekend target and a left-field alternative for your consideration.

PlayON have now extended their deadline for submitting your teams so you can now tinker with your starting XI right up until the first kick-off each week – so tomorrow that’s right up to 12.45, with Man City hosting Crystal Palace in the Gameweek’s early kick-off.

PlayON also has FREEROLL games and Guaranteed Pot games running each week for the rest of the season at www.PlayON.co .This week they have £350 in Freerolls and over £2,000 in Guaranteed Pots on offer – to get your free entry into the Freerolls just follow them on Twitter at twitter.com/PlayON and like them on Facebook at facebook.com/PlayON.

Goalkeeper – Adrian
The West Ham stopper looks an excellent value option between the posts this weekend for a home encounter with basement-dwellers Leicester. Priced at just 6.9, Adrian has conceded just twice in his last five home matches and with the visitors scoring a mere four goals on their travels all season, Big Sam’s side will be optimistic of earning another clean sheet. Man City’s home encounter with Crystal Palace cannot be ignored. With question marks hovering over Manuel Pellegrini’s back-four, we’re not prepared to take any risks here and have opted for the security of Joe Hart for the Etihad encounter – available for 8.2m, he’s conceded only once in the last four Gameweeks.

Defender – Phil Jones
Having returned from injury in the previous Gameweek, the Man United defender comes in at a very budget-friendly 7.1m for the trip to Villa Park. The Red Devils have embarked on a six-match winning run ahead of their midlands clash, shipping just three goals over that period, and bearing in mind that Paul Lambert’s side have scored only six times in front of their own fans, Louis van Gaal’s side will be optimistic of repelling their struggling hosts. Tottenham’s Ben Davies is also on our Gameweek 17 radar. Despite starting each of the last five league matches, he sets you back just 6.3m ahead of a plum home clash against Burnley – with a clean sheet and assist in his previous two, Davies offers points potential at both ends of the pitch.

Midfielders – Frank Lampard
We’re taking a punt on City’s veteran for the home clash against Palace tomorrow. Lampard took his tally to four strikes for the season last weekend – equalling Yaya Toure’s league haul – and his eye for goal in and around the box could make the difference as the champions attempt to restructure after losing all three first-team strikers to injury. Whilst Toure’s dead-ball duties hold appeal, Lampard, at a price of 7.4m to the Ivorian’s 14.3m, could prove excellent value against an Eagles defence with a single clean sheet in 10 attempts. Tottenham’s Christian Eriksen is our essential midfielder for the visit of Burnley. With three goals and a pair of assists in his last five appearances, the Dane’s revival as a Fantasy asset has been music to the ears of managers – priced at 11.0 in this week’s PlayON Player Price List, he faces a defence that have registered a single shut-out on their travels all season.

Forwards – Charlie Austin
Back after serving a one-match suspension for last Monday’s trip to Everton, the QPR top scorer will be eager to atone for lost time. Priced at just 8.6m, Austin has racked up five goals and a pair of assists in the previous four matches in front of his own fans and will fancy his chances of producing again as West Brom roll up to Loftus Road. Having overlooked Stewart Downing in the centre of the park, we turn to his West Ham team-mate Diafra Sakho to lead the line instead. Coming in at a cut-price 8.1m, the Senegal striker has scored in all but one of his six Upton Park appearances and with sidekick Andy Carroll also set to terrorise the Leicester defence, Sakho has every chance of getting amongst the goals yet again.

Head over to www.PlayON.co and get your teams in for the £350 in Freerolls and £2,000 in guaranteed pots.

If Herrera is actually guilty of wrongdoing in the match fixing, what would likely happen to him?

"If after an investigation they find the players guilty, none will go to jail because they don't have a criminal background. But they could face heavy fines and a lengthy football suspension."

"Furthermore some clubs [I don't know about United] have an internal regulation for issues like fixing and gambling. If Manchester United have such a regulation, they may also impose sanctions on Herrera, which could range from financial punishment to simply breaking his contract."

Fernandez speaks in similar terms: "It could take two years or longer until the final decision. This means that for veteran players like Gabi [the Atletico Madrid captain] the potential ban is not going to affect them at all, because they will probably be retired by then. But for Herrera it is a real problem.

Yeah, but in the teams form (even with their starters) they have been awful and with Mirallas out, he could see some offensive points.

Most nailed on Man utd player...

Rooney: captain, most likely to play, but may be playing deeper so potentially less points

RVP: top form, Dutch link with manager, most likely to get points short term. May be rotated over Xmas with Falcao returning to fitness/ he's old

ADM: not back yet, but could oust Mata from lineup as Mata, Rooney, RVP, ADM and Falcao fight for front 4 slots

Mata: excellent form, more points for goals and clean sheet point, but uncertainty with starting role with Falcao and ADM imminent

Falcao: least likely to start, but has a point to prove

Hayulp! Who would you bench out of this front 8?

    Hazard Fabregas Yaya Sanchez Downing
    Giroud Austin Kane

The idea was supposed to be to rotate Downing / cheapo strikers, but they have the best fixtures this week (Downing LEI, Austin WBA, Kane BUR).

I'd bench Kane/ Austin out of that lot. That midfield is un-benche-able, Arsenal Liverpool could have lots of goals probably, Austin is rested and most QPR goals go through him, but west brom are tighter at the back at the moment.

Hmmm... It's 50/50 Austin or Kane. Probably Kane.

Controls the pace of a game. As central defensive midfielder, he should get more touches of the ball than anyone else in the side. Dictates when to play keep ball and when to be more direct.

Looks a waste of space if not playing with confidence though.

genuinely no issue with either of you 2 buying Kolarov as you're aware of the risks of owning him (and the joys)

The amount of people who buy Kolarov then moan when he doesn't start. These people are not worthy of owning him

Have i got the right starting 11? It pains me leaving Kane on the bench with Burnley at home

    Hart (Elliot)
    Bertrand, Wisdom, Yun, (Chambers, Dummett)
    Downing, Hazard(vc), Siggy, Sanchez, Fabregas
    Costa(C), Bony, (Kane)

Yeah but you not tempted to move the armband? I'm not sure Chelsea will get more than a goal, maybe 2 max

I hate having 8 strong choices, only did it once for a few weeks and I'll never do it again 🙂

I have a similar dilemma, benched Siggy, Kane has the greater potential for more points than siggy in my opinion

isn't Bony on ACON? that may be the defining factor as Siggy is a supplier and not finisher so without a top striker Swans may struggle

Chances of Hull scoring? Looking to get Ben Davies for Moore next week to give me full starting squad, but tempted to do it this week for a hit and start him with Naylor on the bench, there is bound to be something else needed next week. 😐

Guys serious question, judging on what/how Pellegrini was talking about Kompany, would you say he'll be likely available next gw?
