Tonight we roll out the fourth round draw of the Fantasy Football Scout Cup X, as sponsored by Paddy Power, as well as  look back at the nail-biting conclusion to the Third Round ties.

With a score of 105 points, Made of Stone achieved the highest haul of the round. Given his losing opponent Paul Penney notched up an impressive 84 points, it shows just how tough this competition gets towards the final rounds. Made of Stone’s heroics, which included captaining David Silva and having John Terry and Pablo Zabaleta in his defence, earn him a round four tie against Nordeast.

The Fourth Round sees two top ten players looking to progress further in the competition. Randy Milla sits in seventh overall and faces 1,217th ranked Whalley DJ. Meanwhile, Doctor101 may be a credible 2,431st overall but has the tough task of taking on eighth placed Never Trust Lukaku.

Another name to watch out for in round four is Granville. Our Scoutcast co-host saw off Huddy in round three and will meet Fantasypete next.

Other notable community match ups in round four include Tommy J against Louis Van Goal and Dez against Gimli son of Gloin.

The full list of third round results can be found here, while the fourth round draw in full can be found here.

Good luck to those involved in the weekend’s action. In the meantime, though, if you’re looking for more information on the Scout Cup schedule and prizes available, click this link for a more thorough rundown.

    Great, my fpl cup opponent is in the top 10k.

    Pre transfers it looks like being:

    Me: Hart, Terry, Chambers, Siggy, Kane, Carroll
    Him: Heaton, O'Shea, Wisdom, Fabregas, Bony, Sakho

    I'm in a spot of bother I think

    Out of the two for captain, would you prefer

    RVP or Alexis?

    Both could be potential masterstrokes or epic fails (if benched)

    I see the team news has Monreal starting ahead of Chambers this week.

    That would be annoying

      Wenger said something about Chambers not starting I think, something along the lines of "he's too young to play lots of games etc.." If you scroll back 2 pages you'll find it.

        Every SINGLE week Calum Chambers plays, the commentators remind us of how he gets his trousers dropped, and greased up by a winger, yet, he pops up on the wing like CR7.

    Best move here chaps?

    A) Yun -> Zaba/Baines
    B) Downing -> Silva/Sterling
    C) Carroll -> Bony
    D) 2 of the above for a hit
    E) Save

    Hart
    Terry, Chambers, Hutton
    Hazard, Sanchez, Siggy, Eriksen
    Costa, Kane, Carroll

    Elliot, Downing, Wisdom, Hun
    Bank 4.4m, 1 freebie

    Can put this team out this week:

    Foster
    Baines - Chambers - Bertrand - Naylor
    Fabregas - Sanchez - Eriksen - Siggy
    Bony - RVP (C)

    Krul - Downing - Sakho - Hutton

    a) save and 2 FT next week
    b) Krul > Pantillimon

    ‘Nabil would like to finish first or second and play Champions League football with Lyon,’ Mohamed Fekir told French publication Le Parisien.

    ‘If he leaves, it will be for Arsenal. It is the only club that can enable him to progress, with Arsene Wenger. He will not go to Manchester City to sit on the bench.’

    morning dzzzz, how we doing?

    Can actually ask for opinion now that its quieter...what to do with my foster/krul combo. have 2fts so i can afford to make a change if i want to.

    Foster fixtures: MCI sto whm HUL eve TOT
    - in an ideal world, i would only play him in gw 19 and gw 21

    Potential krul replacements:

    Panti: HUL avl mci LIV tot BUR
    - doesnt have any h/a rotation with foster.
    - could play him in gw 18/19/23.....so will have a gk with a crap fix in gw's 20 and 22

    Guzan: swa SUN CPL lei LIV ars
    - perfect h/a rotation
    - gw 18, 22 and 23 however have tough fixtures

    So based on above, neither is great. Other option is just wait for krul assuming he is back by gw21, i can play foster till gw21 and then krul for gw 22 and 23 before using WC

      If you happy with rest of team this gw - May as well use 1 of the fts on such a move.
      Im doing the same Krul - Pants this gw. - good chance of a cleanie and covers Foster in another 1 or 2 until WC ( if doing Wc late), .

      Similar dilemma here (Foster & Elliot).
      What I've been staring at is Hart. Unfortuately, after the next three games, the fixtures really turn sour. DeGea is another idea, but I'm not thrilled about spending so much on a keeper.

      Of your two choices, I'd go for Guzan.

    Shopping for 5th mid/1st bench.

    Siggy 6.8, Milner 5.5 Chadli 6.4 Barkley 6.8 or Jedi 5.3? Have Downing

    With the upcoming fixtures I am betting the 5th mid will really come into the equation a lot.

      FPL says he's back on the 28th.
      Everyone should be falling over themselves to get Silva, but if he onky has one more as the false 9, then maybe not.

      There are obviously arguments for both sides.

      The thing is, we're at a point in the season where free transfers are a scarce commodity. So using one to remove the highest scoring player in FPL seems unwise.

      Villa picked up 3 of their 4 clean sheets away from home and a decent West Ham attack makes it too risky for a hit, I think

          I'd play Hutton if I had him, I wouldn't bring Terry in for Saints and Spurs away. Maybe look elsewhere for a similarly priced defender?

    Decent moves over the next 2-3 weeks?

    If so, best order time to make them?

    A) Yun -> Zaba
    B) Siggy -> Sterling/Silva
    C) Eriksen -> Sterling/Silva
    D) Carroll -> Austin

    Hart
    Terry, Chambers, Hutton
    Hazard, Sanchez, Siggy, Eriksen
    Costa, Kane, Carroll

    Elliot, Downing, Wisdom, Hun
    Bank 4.4m, 1 freebie

    1. Acquafresca
      • 14 Years
      11 years, 2 months ago

      A and C over the next couple weeks.

      I wouldn't be removing Carroll, would rather remove Kane next week.

      Carroll has 3 home games in 4 after Chelsea. Kane has tough fixtures.

        I'd be benching Kane though, if that makes a difference?

        Was thinking:

        GW18: A
        GW19: B & D (4 points)
        GW20: C

              Same here, but so is Austin, and that downgrade enables me to get Silva for his 2 prime home games, so I think it is probably worth it. Could well be wrong though!

    Hi all,
    Best options for the 5th midfield spot to replace Marney.

    Hazard, Sanchez, Downing, Siggy, Marney my current 5.

    4.1m in account. Can afford 8.5m
    Happy with my defence and strikers except for rotation!

    Sterling
    Cazorla
    Milner
    Nasri
    Eriksen?
