Tonight we roll out the fourth round draw of the Fantasy Football Scout Cup X, as sponsored by Paddy Power, as well as  look back at the nail-biting conclusion to the Third Round ties.

With a score of 105 points, Made of Stone achieved the highest haul of the round. Given his losing opponent Paul Penney notched up an impressive 84 points, it shows just how tough this competition gets towards the final rounds. Made of Stone’s heroics, which included captaining David Silva and having John Terry and Pablo Zabaleta in his defence, earn him a round four tie against Nordeast.

The Fourth Round sees two top ten players looking to progress further in the competition. Randy Milla sits in seventh overall and faces 1,217th ranked Whalley DJ. Meanwhile, Doctor101 may be a credible 2,431st overall but has the tough task of taking on eighth placed Never Trust Lukaku.

Another name to watch out for in round four is Granville. Our Scoutcast co-host saw off Huddy in round three and will meet Fantasypete next.

Other notable community match ups in round four include Tommy J against Louis Van Goal and Dez against Gimli son of Gloin.

The full list of third round results can be found here, while the fourth round draw in full can be found here.

Good luck to those involved in the weekend’s action. In the meantime, though, if you’re looking for more information on the Scout Cup schedule and prizes available, click this link for a more thorough rundown.

Hazard/Costa/Bony for (c) in that order but will put it on Bony as worried the other 2 will be bit part players.

My doubt about Bony is Villa defence doing well, QPR in contrast are conceding every game. Sanchez for captain

Money no object, is DDG the best keeper from now to the WC? Having a flyer of a season but under the radar in FPL circles it seems, decent fixtures coming up.

Not really having a flyer of a season, more like the standout performer in a desperately poorly performing team.

I have had him from GW1.

The answer to your question is a categorical NO. It is a miracle how many points he is on considering the quality of the back 3/4 that has been in front of him.

  10. FionnMac
    • 15 Years

So it seems like most of the sensible people are holding Baines and Siggy for one more GW (you could argue the real smart people got rid a couple weeks ago), with enticing fixtures for each at home to Stoke and Villa respectively.

But after that each face 2 consecutive away games, so seems like that would be a viable time to get rid before the Jan WC.

What does everyone think? Who are you planning on getting? Seems like a nice natural downgrade one upgrade the other scenario...

    1. Sess!
      • 15 Years
      11 years, 3 months ago

Baines away games aren't actually too bad though. I woulda I rib get rid of siggy after this week however.

      1. FionnMac
        • 15 Years
        11 years, 3 months ago

But who's a good Siggy replacement unless you have money in the bank? Lots of good punts around the £8-9m mark with Sterling, Nasri, Silva Eriksen, ADM? Which is why I thought selling them together or Baines first could be best

Same here, and I am holding this gw as they both look set to start and good fixtures.

Things change fast, if one of them brings home a haul this gw I know I will be tempted to hold

Otherwise an upgrad for another big hitter in midfield looks most likely with those baines money

Is Doing Sanchez to ADM totaly insane ?

I was going to do Oscar To adm after stock game , But Oscar rested that night means that he is more likely to start next game.

as for Sanchez apart from the QPR game where he might be rested , i son't really want him away to west ham then Sotons

I'm going yaya. Reasons: top teams have to score. Yaya is obviously on penalties, but most of the city team can't shoot. Silva got lucky and a tap in, navas and milner can't shoot. They have to let yaya shoot. But I hate captaining him, hate it 🙂

Welbeck has scored twice, man city attackers are injured. Not much from man united. I get the point but not many have done well except for bony

Fabregas will not care how many other chelsea players you own tho, will probably score just as good 🙂

3 players in my team past their sell-by-date:

    Baines
    Sanchez

Costa perhaps. I have Baines and I'm not selling this week, simply because he is one of my only non-rotation risks.

For free? Save Sanchez over this weeks fixture and hope he is not rested. Baines has a good fixture and Costa could score v anyone. Tough
