Eriksen keep or transfer out? Discuss...

Depends, what's your alternative if you get rid of him?

      1. The Raging Bull
        • 12 Years

        Boyd, Hendo, Sterling, Mirallas

Eriksen scores big but inconsistent, hence the question whether to keep or not, i'm learning having faith in players is vital in FPL. I tend to ship out players after 1-2 blanks.

Eriksen is someone you really need to be patient with. Brought him in twice this season only to sell him right before a few big hauls. Plus even though he's inconsistent he's still well able to grab points against the tougher teams....

Ultimately though I think it really comes down to the fact that none of those alternatives you mentioned are all that convincing either. Keep, I think.

Mirallas seems more potent than Eriksen, shoots at a goal opportunity, has set piece duties, i regret not bringing him in earlier this season.

What a completely deflating FPL Xmas...

First I captain Giroud for -4pts, then I miss the GW19 deadline, wasting a FT and left with 10 players...

Know how you feel Zep, was m.i.a for Christmas when I had 2 FT's. Was going to do Oscar to Sterling & roll over the other FT. Ended up having Oscar blank, & the latter scoring a goal.

Cheers up though man, Giroud was a great captain choice that GW, there were no red flags (sorry) pointing to a blank. Dust yourself off from the rubble & look forward to the new year, where new signings, DGW's, & many a rankings to climb.

He is improving due to team performance. I thought he was good against Arsenal. He has a poor shot but gets into great positions for goals.

I've had a look at their fixtures and I think Lala may be worth a punt. 4 good fixtures left before they turn sour, which would coincide with using your Jan WC late if you want to get rid.

Not sure, he may reap more attacking responsibility to compliment Gomis' terribly Donkey-esque style. Bony's departure can only help Siggy's impact IMO

Basing that more on Gomi's Lyon days, what an animal in the air & great footwork to boot.
This season he's been extremely poor & sloppy on the ball, would still rather monitor Siggy's impact in the final third & check his heatmaps w/ Gomis on the pitch.

          Goal scoring potential, you're right.

Was thinking of going Kolarov to Skrtel before he got his YC

So now Kolarov to Vlaar instead? For a double up with Hutton. Villa have good fixtures in the next few.

Also, who to bench out of this front 8?

    Yaya, Sanchez, Haz, Downing, Siggy
    Sakho, Austin, Costa

Hopefully, rotation would render my decision meaningless to avoid potential benching points.

From gw 7-18 (when jenkinson has started)

          Cresswell has more:
          Goal attempt assists
          Big chance created
          Successful Dribbles
          Key passes
Attempted and successful passes in final third
          Probing in the opposition box

They have equal Goal attempt stats, in and outside box

Jenkinson only has more succesful crosses and dribbles(but only 3/19 successful compared to cresswells 11/18 successful)

          Do i do Tomkins now?

that data is skewed, Jenkinson improved from GW 10. I am a Creswell owner and i've watched all West Ham games from GW 10, it's always Jenkinson providing more threat. Tomkins is good at scoring from corners.

By GW23, do you mean at the end of that game week?

Or, at the end of GW22, going into 23?

I'd still rather take the odd hit.

Transfers will start to kick in soon and we'll have both a better idea of who is doing well and a lot of fixture runs change around GWs 23 and 24.

      Right before Gw24 starts
The big teams fixtures swing, plus need to regain my TV for my WC to have good mileage.
Will be the best time to switch between a United attacker, Aguero & Sanchez captaincy Gw's 23-31.
Also, will have a better idea of how the new signing's are playing

A strong playing 5 man midfield. Usually being the 3-5-2 formation.

Any thoughts on what to do here?

    Foster (Krul)
    Terry, Kolarov, Hutton (Naylor, Chambers)
    Hazard, Sanchez, Silva, Siggy (Eriksen)
    Costa, Ings, Austin

Have 1FT, don't think Kolarov will play, could move him. Also considered swapping Eriksen for someone else and benching Ings but that could end badly. What seems the most urgent issue? Any thoughts appreciated!

Yeah, defo keep. Bench looks fine - I might be tempted by Naylor before Wisdom but I usually get those long shots wrong.

For people who moan abt selling/benching siggy...its the correct decision.
I think his overall performance against pool is quite poor..i did not watch alot of siggy away game but base on this performance i will continue to bench him away if there are better choices. No bony could affect siggy performance too

Still has 50% direct goal involvement, still a good price and the best in his bracket. I don't see any cause for concern. Away form is also an anomaly, like Hazard's was imo. People seem to expect too much of him, as if he's a 10m player.

Yeah i agree thats why people shld keep siggy. Not much better player at that price. Just saying that if there is another player with better fixture like downing(ars) kane(utd) then i would no doubt bench siggy.

He and downing are still the best mid price option out there...just that the emergence of kane austin etc result more benching headache

    Save January WC for

    1. Fix broken team immediately to maximize January points;

    3. Flurry of transfers on transfer window deadline day that will change many EPL team formations.

I doubt there will be too many big transfers for the big team..mostly its ur cheap defenders that are affected if there are new transfers..the likes of costa sanchez will still be 1st choice no matter who they get in. Get defenders are that vital to their team and u shld be fine.
