This evening, we roll out the semi-final draw of the Fantasy Football Scout Cup X, as sponsored by Paddy Power, and take a look back at the key events during the quarterfinals.

With a score of 62 bobbyg emerged as the top scoring manager during the quarter-finals, which took place during Gameweek 22. He easily saw off round seven’s top scorer 66irons  to progress and earn himself £25 worth of free Paddy Power bets.

His opponent in the semi-finals will be CMIFLFC , who beat  Wolverine in the quarter-finals. CMIFLC, who has an overall rank of 5,439, has activated his wildcard this week while bobbyg, who is ranked 663rd in the overall rankings, still has his to play.

The other semi-final will feature Momalpashands, who beat mjfdept in the quarterfinals, and Harts Hotspurs, the conqueror of United Nations. This will be something of a David and Goliath clash as, with a rank of 555th in the FPL game, Momalpashands is the competition’s highest placed manager, while Harts Hotspurs is the lowest, with a rank of 297,029. Both have yet to play their wildcard. Key differences in their current teams are Harts Hotspurs’s faith in Sergio Aguero and Branislav Ivanovic, while Momalpashands will be hoping Diego Costa and Cesc Fabregas will score well enough to see him through.

The full list of quarter final results can be found here, while the semi-final draw in full can be found here.

Good luck to all four managers left in the competition. In the meantime, though, if you’re looking for more information on the Scout Cup schedule and prizes available, click this link for a more thorough rundown.

My run of reds and fail wildcars has really cloud my judgement.

I need punts to shoot me up the ranks

Yeah I would go with the opposite of my view based on my recent run of poor wildcard and captain choices and benching mishaps!

Senegal knocked out of AFROCON last night.

Good news for owners of Diouf, Cisse and Mane.

Especially good news for Stoke now that Banjo is out for rest of season.

      For tonight's games...

Group D could not be tighter with all previous games having ended 1-1.
It means that if the final two games in the group end in identical draws, it will require the drawing of lots to determine who goes through to the quarter-finals, and in which order.

      That would be amazing!

    Juan Mata.

Walters has been a good servant to the FPL, picking up points on a low price. Last year his worst return but with Bojan gone anyone must take a hard look at him.

Something might be staring me right in my beautiful face but, is there an app that allows you to draft a team and just have it as a reference point. You knows, till I actually decide to make transfers. Like a watchlist but laid out as a squad with total costs etc.

"Fabregas reported a tight hamstring. He said he wasn't yet injured but that he would be soon if he continued," Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho said.
Defenders Filipe Luis and Branislav Ivanovic also have injury worries.

I doubt this for QPR/Spurs (providing Spurs win tonight). I'm fairly sure It'll be rescheduled for the W/E of the 5th round (GW25) or 6th round (GW28). Clubs tend to want to play the rescheduled games on the weekend if possible - and here's 2 good opportunities.

            • 13 Years

I'd say GW28 is far more likely. Closer to the original fixture time and fixtures are rarely rescheduled earlier than originally scheduled as it limits the time required to organise it (GW25 is only just over 2 weeks from now)

If he didn't know what he was stamping/stepping on he'd have looked down to see why he stumbled and what he's landed on. He didn't because he knew exactly what he was doing.

But Both Can & Skertel are guilty of dragging their legs on his way. Costa is the new public enemy in the league. I'll be happier if he makes the headlines with only good reasons.

It is the easiest thing to find ground when landing rather than ankles. In fact, you risk injury yourself not landing on a flat surface. I like Costa's grit which is what the EPL is all about. But trying to hurt is not grit.

How do Jones Terry Bertrand rotate? Or doesn't it really matter?

You'd play them all every week wouldn't you?

Terry and Bertrand maybe. I have Terry Bertrand and Kosi so very similar. My problem is Lescott and Van aanholt which I did not studt enough.

Plan to keep Jones for a few weeks with uniteds fixtures then decide what to do. Looking to get 3 cheapies to rotate long term. But yeah for the next few weeks it would be terry, Bertrand and jones

Decision made - WCing next week.

Now, are there any juicy punts out there worth a 4 pointer for 1 week only?

    Lloris
    Baines, Terry, Chambers
    Sanchez, Hazard, Santi, Eriksen
    Costa, Kane, Austin

    Elliot, Downing, Wisdom, Hutton
    Bank 1.0m, 0FT

Mmmm, undecided but at present, yes.

The Chambers 1 pointer is a real danger though.

I can't see Spurs not scoring tbh. Inevitable now everyone's loading up on WBA defs.

I have both Kane + Eriksen, play both or bench one? :S

You think so? Pulis with his magic touch might keep them out and with Kane move around in the Spurs set up ain't good.

Are you playing your WBA def/s and Kane then?

Most likely shipping Yun for Kos and benching Wisdom. May bench Foster for Krul too.

Thing is they ll have to work a lot harder to score under a Pulis team.Have a feeling that WBA would win vs Spurs

Doesn't matter how difficult WBA make it to score as long as they do. WBA can win while Wisdom gets 2 points.

Should be with his last performances
Even i am tempted to get Gayly in for Kane
But this might backfire in terms of longrun
I got Kane for 4.8 sooo still confused to ship him out or
      no

Senegal went out of ACON last night, any chance of Mané being back and starting this weekend? Would be a great punt with 0.2% ownership against suffreing Swansea.
