This evening, we roll out the semi-final draw of the Fantasy Football Scout Cup X, as sponsored by Paddy Power, and take a look back at the key events during the quarterfinals.

With a score of 62 bobbyg emerged as the top scoring manager during the quarter-finals, which took place during Gameweek 22. He easily saw off round seven’s top scorer 66irons  to progress and earn himself £25 worth of free Paddy Power bets.

His opponent in the semi-finals will be CMIFLFC , who beat  Wolverine in the quarter-finals. CMIFLC, who has an overall rank of 5,439, has activated his wildcard this week while bobbyg, who is ranked 663rd in the overall rankings, still has his to play.

The other semi-final will feature Momalpashands, who beat mjfdept in the quarterfinals, and Harts Hotspurs, the conqueror of United Nations. This will be something of a David and Goliath clash as, with a rank of 555th in the FPL game, Momalpashands is the competition’s highest placed manager, while Harts Hotspurs is the lowest, with a rank of 297,029. Both have yet to play their wildcard. Key differences in their current teams are Harts Hotspurs’s faith in Sergio Aguero and Branislav Ivanovic, while Momalpashands will be hoping Diego Costa and Cesc Fabregas will score well enough to see him through.

The full list of quarter final results can be found here, while the semi-final draw in full can be found here.

Good luck to all four managers left in the competition. In the meantime, though, if you’re looking for more information on the Scout Cup schedule and prizes available, click this link for a more thorough rundown.

In the Semi-Final ties, if the aggregate score is level at the end of the second game an extra half-hour shall be played. If the aggregate scores are still level at the end of extra time the tie shall be decided by goals scored away from home counting twice. If the teams remain equal after this procedure the tie shall be determined by the taking of kicks from the penalty mark in accordance with the Laws of Association Football.

        Just 1?

        Chelsea 3-1 ahead, a goal would.make it 3-3

There is no way Costa doesn't get a 3 game ban if Chelsea win here. No way.

You can imagine less being made of it simply because they didn't win.

He should get it either way but that's not how the media necessarily works (and the FA is definitely influenced by the media).

If he doesn't get banned retrospectively, Costa will get his 9th YC against City anyway.

    Team is currently

    Foster
    Terry Fonte PVA (Baird Cresswell)
    Haz Fabs ADM Sanchez (Boyd)
    Aguero Austin Kane

    0.5 in bank

Any if these trades worth doing or save another week

    A - cresswell to Kosc
    B - Fabs to punch
    C - Fabs to cazorla
    D - Austin to Defoe
    E - other suggestion!

If a player is on 9 YCs and then gets sent off for a 2nd YC or a straight RC, does that count as the 10th YC? Does he get a 2 match suspension and then the YCs are wiped out or is he suspended for 1 game and remains on 9YCs?

Why do I see people even considering Lucas Leiva as their 5th mids? Yes he's only 4.3m and pretty much nailed but he hasn't scored for almost 150 games now.

His scoring statistics this season for games he has started: 2-1-3-2-2-2-2-2-2-1-3-3

I guess you could say he's consistent.
