We’ve a couple of Premier League encounters to tide us over this afternoon. First up, Arsenal entertain Villa at the Emirates as Arsene Wenger’s men look for a fifth win in six attempts – the likes of Santi Cazorla, Theo Walcott and Olivier Giroud have earned plenty of new investors over the last couple of days as a result of Alexis Sanchez’ hamstring problems. With Villa failing to score in each of their last five, the Gunners’ prospects of a third straight shut-out also look likely here.

Later in the day, Southampton welcome under-strength Swansea to St Mary’s at 4pm. Eljero Elia was drafted in by 100,000+ FPL managers on the back of a double at Newcastle last time out but with Sadio Mane back from the African Cup of Nations, the Dutchman’s new owners will be eagerly awaiting Ronald Koeman’s team sheet. Like Arsenal, the Saints will be optimistic of a clean sheet today – Swansea are devoid of the suspended Gylfi Sigurdsson and have scored more than a single goal in just one of the last 11 Gameweeks.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

    Koscielny>Azpilcueta
    Di Maria>Silva

    done for a -4.

Can't see Villa scoring against Chelsea and Silva is a punt (averaging 7.7ppg the last 7 games)

looks good to me. Silva will be the one to own next week.

Just have to decide if Aguero or Haz for the (c)

Tough defensive fixtures for Arsenal. Their form at the back is good though.

Don't forget Sczez tied for Golden Glove last season. Kos and Mert back together, Coquelin helping, Ospina more solid than Sczez, and the whole team working better defensively. I see some cleanies!

    Thoughts:

ADM, Chadli and Kos to PvA, Cazorla and Walcott for a -4

I have Silva and Sanchez and Haz

    Good or Bad?

    That'll do.

    Arsenal attack:

    1. Sanchez
    2. Cazorla
    3. Giroud
    ----------------
    4. Ozil
    5. Walcott
    6. Ramsey

    Arsenal defence:

    1. Koscielny
    2. Mertesacker
    3. Bellerin
    ----------------------
    4. Monreal
    5. Gibbs
    6. Chambers

The lines mark the point beyond which I probably wouldn't bother with them. Agreed?

Could move the first line to below Ozil. But I think Walcott and Ozil's appeal is diminished given that you could have Sanchez and Cazorla instead.

Disagree completely with your list. Sanchez is no value any more with Walcott and Ozil back to share his points and gametime. There will also be more rotation, Arsenal still have FA Cup and CL (Monaco next round so they will probably reach the 1/4 Final at least).

Cazorla is good short term but in the long run I think Ozil and Giroud are the ones to have.

He's not going to get penalties every week. Guzan gets both hands to that one today and Walcott ends up with more points than him.

Giroud over Cazorla for me, surely can't score pens every week!

Also depends hugely on what Wenger does with Cazorla/Ozil/Walcott. Only 2 of them can start at any one time.

The biggest question about Arsenal once Sanchez is fit might be captaincy. Giroud could be the shrewdest pick of the attackers at that point.

Dropping Koscielny felt good. Too expensive with Bellerin emerging as an option. The next three for Arsenal are tough.

Spurs (A) - Spurs are on fire, and this game should have goals
Leicester (H) - Can't defend at all but scored away against Liverpool and Utd
Palace (A) - Crystal Palace at home are a decent side

    Hopefully Bellerin isn't 5M by then 😆

After my first good week in ages, should I treat myself to a -4? Cheers

    Krul/Foster
    Bertrand, van Aanholt, Terry
    Hazard, Di María, Cazorla, Sánchez
    Kane, Ings, Agüero
    (Lescott, Boyd, Trippier)

    a) Ings > Defoe
    b) ADM > Silva
    c) Both for the hit.

If Sanchez is back next week....who makes way?

O.K. now finalising the WC team:

    Pantilimon - Hamer

    Ivanovic - Moreno - Wisdom - Bellerin - Alderweireld

Elia- Silva - Sanchez - Eriksen - Walters (Not sure about Walters)

    Kane - Costa - Sturridge

0.2m in bank and will have someone like Giroud in team till Costa's back. Thoughts?

      I think so mate.

Had an absolute shocker myself. I fell from 650 in GW15 to almost 12K. 😮 Hoping to be back in the top 6K after this week.
