This evening we preview the final and third place play-off matches of the Fantasy Football Scout Cup X, as sponsored by Paddy Power, and take a look back at the key events during the semi-finals.

CMIFLFC, who is 3381st overall, eased past 731st ranked bobbyg in the semi-finals. His score of 82 was also the round’s top score, which earns him £25 worth of free Paddy Power bets.

The other semi-final saw Momalpashands, who is ranked 389th in the world, see off 278,180th ranked Harts Hotspurs in what was the round’s David versus Goliath clash. Momalpashands’ impressive score of 81 proved too much for our plucky minnow’s tally of 59.

The final between Momalpashands and CMIFLFC is finely balanced thanks to both already playing their winter wildcard during Gameweek 23.

Of the pair, CMIFLFC already has Gameweek 24’s standout captaincy choice Sergio Aguero, who faces Hull City at home, in his team.

But while Momalpashands opted to go without the Manchester City striker on his wildcard he has shrewdly kept enough in the bank to draft him in in place of Olivier Giroud and that move looks the likeliest scenario. Momalpashands also has David Silva in his team, another good option in Gameweek 24, which may give him the edge.

Among CMIFLFC’s key differentials are Santi Cazorla, Jonathan Walters, Jason Puncheon, Graziano Pelle and Nathanial Clyne. He should also have Olivier Giroud to call on as a differential should Momalpashands swap him out.

Momalpashands will be hoping his differentials, including Theo Walcott, Saido Berahino, Harry Kane and Cesc Fabregas, will be enough to win.

Meanwhile, the squads involved in our third place play-off clash is less clear, with both bobbyg and Harts Hotspurs still keeping their winter wildcards back for Gameweek 24.

Good luck to all four managers left in the competition. In the meantime, though, if you’re looking for more information on the Scout Cup schedule and prizes available, click this link for a more thorough rundown.

imho....he is the most nailed on of all the Arsenal Mids. I really like the punt actually.
I am very much considering him on my WC.

Dummet has been playing CB a lot, rather than full back.

No. Though it is worth noting that Dummett can play CB, his most likely position is LB...

        True.

I'd say Haidara's not nailed on but has a decent chance. He's not safe enough for me to pick him.

I am thinking that the safe replacement for Bertrand might just be Clyne

Might want to wait on Toby news? Less attacking threat but decent route into CS potential, considering Wanyama and Schneiderlin are back in training.

Think I will get Clyne in for Bertrand and then Haidara in for Baird next week. It will leave me with

          Clyne - Terry - Jones - Haidara - PVA

Toby doesnt have any bonus point or attacking upside and intended a huge amount cheaper. I think I will go for Clyne.

Clyne is a safe option - Soton def will remain solid IMO.

As mentioned below, Toby is the cheap option to enable funds further up the pitch. Reported to be back next week at the latest

Pretty much any of Jakupovic/Myhill/McCarthy/Given/Gilks/Alnwick. They aren't going to play anyway.

If you have 4.1 get Hamer

It's a question of what to do with ADM and berahino. If you think they will outscore any replacements, keep them

Berahino is a marginal pick. Pulis teams tend to not be prolific up front.

ramsey is the same price but less likely for returns. what's to like? ozil i think. and an actual differential

Caz, but think of replacing him with Walcott eventually.

Ozil goes missing a bit, I don't trust him to be consistent
