This evening we preview the final and third place play-off matches of the Fantasy Football Scout Cup X, as sponsored by Paddy Power, and take a look back at the key events during the semi-finals.

CMIFLFC, who is 3381st overall, eased past 731st ranked bobbyg in the semi-finals. His score of 82 was also the round’s top score, which earns him £25 worth of free Paddy Power bets.

The other semi-final saw Momalpashands, who is ranked 389th in the world, see off 278,180th ranked Harts Hotspurs in what was the round’s David versus Goliath clash. Momalpashands’ impressive score of 81 proved too much for our plucky minnow’s tally of 59.

The final between Momalpashands and CMIFLFC is finely balanced thanks to both already playing their winter wildcard during Gameweek 23.

Of the pair, CMIFLFC already has Gameweek 24’s standout captaincy choice Sergio Aguero, who faces Hull City at home, in his team.

But while Momalpashands opted to go without the Manchester City striker on his wildcard he has shrewdly kept enough in the bank to draft him in in place of Olivier Giroud and that move looks the likeliest scenario. Momalpashands also has David Silva in his team, another good option in Gameweek 24, which may give him the edge.

Among CMIFLFC’s key differentials are Santi Cazorla, Jonathan Walters, Jason Puncheon, Graziano Pelle and Nathanial Clyne. He should also have Olivier Giroud to call on as a differential should Momalpashands swap him out.

Momalpashands will be hoping his differentials, including Theo Walcott, Saido Berahino, Harry Kane and Cesc Fabregas, will be enough to win.

Meanwhile, the squads involved in our third place play-off clash is less clear, with both bobbyg and Harts Hotspurs still keeping their winter wildcards back for Gameweek 24.

Good luck to all four managers left in the competition. In the meantime, though, if you’re looking for more information on the Scout Cup schedule and prizes available, click this link for a more thorough rundown.

Phil Neville, the finish was not better. He passed it straight at the goalkeeper. The pass was fantastic.

Sturridge playing 50 odd mins tonight then.

Doesn't sound too good for a start on Saturday. 🙁

Sterling is a better pick on paper, but if you have ADM you might want to keep for the Burnley game next GW

Getting more and more inclined to this WC draft.

    Foster - Myhill
    Terry - Fonte - Bellerin - PVA - Haidara
    Sanchez - Hazard - Silva - Mane - Ameobi
    Aguero - Sturridge - Kane

    Leaves 0m in the bank.

    Opinions please?

    Thanks. 🙂

I'm having the same issue as to who to drop from my midfield: Haz, Sanchez, Caz, Sterling. All have great fixtures that week but need to shoehorn Eriksen in but for who?! Hoping an injury sorts this our for me 🙂

Thoughts on this wildcard please? I want a detailed analysis of each position, with a score out of 10. Athankyou.

    Ospina, Krul
Terry, Clichy, van Aanholt, Wisdom, Hutton
    Sterling, Sanchez, Hazard, Cazorla, Moses
    Aguero, Kane, Austin

We have Schneiderlin and Wanyama returning and decent fixtures - why no Saints cover at the back?

I like the rest but obviously need to wait on Sanchez fitness.

        • 16 Years

Was thinking Clyne, but Clichy and Man City equally have good fixtures and need to win as well as perform well.

Ditch Clichy for a Soton defender.

Change Hutton for Bellerin if you can afford, switch Ospina to Panti/Foster.

Also think Austin has run his course.

Last two. Wasi might not be first choice after Huth's arrival. Leicester also suck big time.

Palace are a bit of a handful going forward after Pardew took over. Keep this in mind
