These are difficult times for Granville. Sadly for him, his prediction that Diego Costa’s studs played into my hands along with Emre Can’s ankle proved correct – the Chelsea villain pushed me into a Gameweek 23 Wildcard and I cashed in.

It left Granville spitting feathers and 92-points behind but he remains defiant. Even with the millions draining from his squad via his active Wildcard, my resolute co-host is not giving up on keeping the season alive and the rivalry as bitter as ever.

We weigh up Granville’s latest options in his quest to close the gap: analysing the contest between Sturridge and Aguero for our place in our forward lines, check in on the fallout from the Sanchez injury, whilst wading through the usual regulars ahead of another Gameweek.

Pay your dues via this link or mark up the deficit via the handy player below…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Hmm-doubts about Nasri starting I agree. With Wickham out I assume Fletcher would start but might be worth playing Benteke even if it is against Chelsea. Villa will score at some point I guess.

Yeah, I'm looking at Aaron again. Even though I have Moses to cover Alexis I just think he's too much of a doubt to start Tuesday it's not even worth keeping him.

Yeah if he doesn't play in the NLD I find it hard to believe he plays against Leicester at home...and Ramsey scores most of his goals away from home...could be genius like that Ozil move turned out to be 😉

That's what I'm thinking 😀 Why can't lightning strike twice? The thing is, even if Alexis is in the starting lineup against Leicester, I don't think I'd even transfer him back in and just save it instead to see if......Chelsea have a DGW for 28 as well as Spurs. That is the biggest piece of news and we should find out before GW26. I won't be able to afford any transfer that isn't put towards acquiring those players.

Following on from the above (thanks all for the replies) I've narrowed it down as follows:

Hazard and Silva - definitely having

    Sterling & Sanchez - definitely binning (fixtures/injury)

So that leaves which 3 to pick from Santi(8.2), Oscar, ADM(9.5) & Eriksen(8.0).

Really tough call but think I'm going with Santi, ADM & Oscar with a plan to get Eriksen back for the DGW.

He gets a lot of stick on here but I don't think he's that over priced. Maybe 0.5-1m.

BUR & SUN (and a flagging whu & swa) in the next 4 is the big temptation.

Yeah I saw that, but general consensus seems to be the game will still go ahead. You think Chadli now being back dents Eriksen's appeal a little? From memory when the 2 play together it is Chadli who mops up the points.

Fair call mate. So many good options it's tough!! Being an ARS fan is perhaps clouding my judgement also - having 2 TOT attackers to 1 ARS in the NLD does not sit well!! 🙂

A little bit yes. I'd personally go for them over Santi.

Love Santi but a lot of his goals have been penalties / "free" assists I feel. Great player but not necessarily going to be involved in a lot of goals.

Don't know how we can say Ozil has low goal threat considering how he's looked since he's been back TBH.

Thing with Santi is he's now playing in the hole and his stats are actually great. Will be on all set pieces which is worth a fair bit. See Gerrard from last season.

Ozil is a class act, no doubt. But historically he doesn't have a good goal threat (seems afraid to shoot at times), but you're right he has looked better since coming back.

Midfield is a real minefield at the moment.

              Makes sense.

Way I see it, Theo is the best / most explosive short term option.

Long term, I expect Mesut to take that #10 role with Santi playing behind him / rotating a bit with him and Ramsey.

So, depending on which option you prefer, I see better choices than Santi. Plus, they're both huge differentials. Ozil seems to have gotten over his shooting thing. Seems like a great finisher now tbh. Precision stuff.

Yeah, I'm a huge Theo fan and he is definitely the most explosive when fully match fit. Having said that, I think all 3 have to potential to explode. All good options - the set pieces, form and cheaper price tag edges it for me (at least in the short term)

I paid 10.5 for him and considering getting rid now it seems more serious than a 'knock'

selling value is currently 10.9 and I reckon he will drop down to about 11.1 so it's not much of a loss. I am on a WC so I don't have to take a hit or anything like that....

I'm in the same boat as you mate, selling value 10.9 and on my WC. Let me know what you do!

i am pretty sure I will sell for Sterling

I might get Bellerin in as well but that means having to make the decision tonight as bell will rise

Sanchez will miss weekend and we will know if he is in team for Leisc....

the only problem is if you get Bellerin it will be hard to get Sanchez back unless you get him in for Caz maybe??

Many are looking at Caz, Ozil and Wally as options. But when Sanchez returns, one of them will make way. Or two will rotate.

Probably Ozil that will drop out but with FA Cup and Champions League, there should be plenty of rotation.

Welbeck is back, Wilshere and Chamberlain will be soon...however at Arsenal there never seems to be this problem because when someone comes back another goes down with injury 😀

I think ditching Sanchez is a bit of a no brainer. I only stand to lose maximum 0.3 (probably 0.2), which doesn't particularly damage my squad. And I'll know whether he's playing against Leicester.

On the other hand Boydinho might come up with the goods. Again.

    1. Walsh

Yes, I am coming into this mind. Again, even with good bench cover, the biggest thing is he looks so unlikely to make it on Tuesday for a start. Why was it qualified as a knock in the first place if it was clearly a hamstring strain. Not sure if I just had the blinders on for that or if it didn't come out until after he missed the Villa game. All in all I'm bitter about it 🙂

I don't actually think that's what's happening here, but I'm just saying it's not totally outside the realm of something he might do.

Also, if he's definitely out on Saturday, I doubt he'll be at full speed on Tuesday.

Yeah but then it's like urrrghhhh spend a transfer to get rid of him only to spend another transfer the following week to get him back or just commit to going without him for a bit until after the DGWs come to pass. Keep doing my head in over this!

I don't think 'spending a transfer' is that bad. It's making a move. Silva against Hull then reassess. And reassess in the light of certain team sheets. No brainer.

Thinking of ditching Sanchez -> Walters and going Defoe -> Studge.

    Leaves me with

    Panti
Terry - Wisdom - Fonte (PVA - Bellerin)
Haz - Silva - Sterling - Caz (Walters)
    Kun - Studge - Kane

    0.6ITB
