These are difficult times for Granville. Sadly for him, his prediction that Diego Costa’s studs played into my hands along with Emre Can’s ankle proved correct – the Chelsea villain pushed me into a Gameweek 23 Wildcard and I cashed in.

It left Granville spitting feathers and 92-points behind but he remains defiant. Even with the millions draining from his squad via his active Wildcard, my resolute co-host is not giving up on keeping the season alive and the rivalry as bitter as ever.

We weigh up Granville’s latest options in his quest to close the gap: analysing the contest between Sturridge and Aguero for our place in our forward lines, check in on the fallout from the Sanchez injury, whilst wading through the usual regulars ahead of another Gameweek.

Pay your dues via this link or mark up the deficit via the handy player below…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    A) Forster / Robles
    Kompany, Ivan, Wisdom, Cresswell, Kelly
Sterling, Hazard, C. Gil's, Ozil, Walcott
    Aguero, Giroud, Barnes

    B)Forster / Robles
    Kompany, Ivan, Wisdom, Cresswell, Kelly
    Sterling, Hazard, ADM, Walcott, Sinclair
    Aguero, Giroud, Pell

I am able to get sanchez back with A but most likely not with B

    Which do I go with

I prefer B if I had to choose. Neiher are ideal though, think you have too much money tied up in defence.

Yes I have been. Yes Caz has been playing well, but with that many options in midfield for Arsenal there is always threat for rotation.

I like going against the grain. These choices won't be popular on here, but I don't care 🙂

My plan involves ; Costa (c) GW 26, Burnley at home, a differential versus practically the entire active playing community.

And ... no Kane for DGW28. I think it's the ideal time for him to get a rest, and I'm willing to go with a front 3 of Aguero (c) (LEI), Costa (whu) and Giroud (qpr) that week.

There, I've said it... that's my plan anyway. I know it will be shot down!

    1. Nabs Kebabs

Cheers. Of cousre. I'm actually hoping Chelsea don't get the double in 28. Even less active players will then look to Costa in 26.

          • 12 Years

That is true. Regardless, Costa could very well get himself a hattie against Burnley and outscore all the other strikers playing in GW26/27

    3. dgs2
      • 11 Years
      11 years, 1 month ago

I'm doing the same with Costa, just make sure you have good subs as you might land up having to bench 3 players in GW 27 when Chelsea and Spurs have their blank

Yeah. Of course. ATM 0 spurs players and it would be 3 Chels on the bench

    4. Ruth_NZ
      • 11 Years

I have an even more radical plan actually which I posted the other night. Costa yo-yos in and out and in 26/27/28, I will have 3 Chelsea and 3 Spurs in GW28 for -4 only and a full good team out in 27. If I decided on 3 Chelsea 2 Spurs in GW 28 it would be no hits at all.

But Villa need to beat Leicester in the Cup to make all this planning worthwhile. 😉

One thing is for sure, however. Costa will be my captain in GW 26.

Is Falcao worth a spot in our teams over the next 4-5 fixtures?

I have Austin at the moment and trying to decide between Falcao, Defoe, Studge.
Of course the higher the price the more I lose on my 5th Mid price.

I'd say if someone didn't have faith in Aguero, going Falcao could pay off handsomely...but Falcao's price tag for points (value) puts many off with budget strikers scoring whereas Kun is, well, Kun, and well worth the investment due to past proven performance and good fixtures.

MU have good fixtures too and though he would be a punt, granted, is it a good one?

Other forwards are Kun and Kane.

I have Bellerin, Caz and Sanchez.

Deciding if I should ditch Sanchez on WC and but back next GW if need be. Comes down to what other transfers I might need to make next GW.
