These are difficult times for Granville. Sadly for him, his prediction that Diego Costa’s studs played into my hands along with Emre Can’s ankle proved correct – the Chelsea villain pushed me into a Gameweek 23 Wildcard and I cashed in.

It left Granville spitting feathers and 92-points behind but he remains defiant. Even with the millions draining from his squad via his active Wildcard, my resolute co-host is not giving up on keeping the season alive and the rivalry as bitter as ever.

We weigh up Granville’s latest options in his quest to close the gap: analysing the contest between Sturridge and Aguero for our place in our forward lines, check in on the fallout from the Sanchez injury, whilst wading through the usual regulars ahead of another Gameweek.

          From those games you mean?

          Any player who has a blank fixture in a gameweek will score you zero points. At some point after that they will have a 'double gameweek' where the rearranged fixture is played as well as their regular fixture in one fantasy gameweek. In that week they'll score points from both of those games.

          Personally I'd try to stretch your ample funds to accommodate a Chelsea defender but hard to argue with any individual pick. Obviously some are a bit punty but it's a bit of fun.

          I'd prefer to play Pantilimon every week and to hell with rotation but I know that isn't your style.

          I'd also beware with Rose - Europa starts up again soon and Spurs looked terrible every time they came off the back of one of those games, especially at home.

                      I've bitten the bullet and swapped him for Silva - should have done similar on my wildcard but gambled and lost. Can always bring him back in for the Leicester game once we see the line ups.

    Does anyone actually like the look of their team this week? With the exception of Silva/Aguero against Hull it's a deeply uninspiring set of players/fixtures in my view. Even Villa-Chelsea doesn't look like big points returns to me.

    Thought I'd post a quote from the BBC website about Sanchez. Scout tweets seem to be confusing people and doesn't tell the whole story.
