Wednesday evening brings another six Premier League matches our way as Gameweek 25 comes to its conclusion. Four of those fixtures get underway at 7.45pm, with league leaders Chelsea looking to strengthen their position at the summit as Everton roll up to the Bridge.

The Blues have conceded just once in their last six home matches and have dropped just two points in front of their own fans this season, with Branislav Ivanovic and Eden Hazard looking to continue the form that sees the duo sit at the top of the defender and midfielder rankings respectively in the Fantasy Premier league (FPL) game.

United have failed to convince in recent matches yet sit just one point off third spot. The fact that David de Gea is their top-scoring player in the FPL game highlights the lack of legitimate options amongst Louis van Gaal’s squad ahead of a home clash with Burnley, though with 15% and 18% ownership respectively, Angel di Maria and Wayne Rooney remain in many managers’ plans.

Southampton and West Ham go head-to-head at St Mary’s, with Sadio Mane’s new owners looking for a big performance. Having scored in each of his last four starts, the wide man was acquired by over 32,000 FPL managers prior to yesterday’s deadline. With the Hammers still hampered by a number of injury concerns, Ronald Koeman’s side will be looking to improve upon a defensive record that has seen them concede in four of their last six at St Mary’s.

Champions City head to the Britannia with Sergio Aguero in worrying form. Without a goal in his last four league outings, the Argentine has failed to convince without Yaya Toure on board, whilst last week’s shift to 4-4-2 has David Silva owners thinking twice after he was moved out wide.

At 8pm, Alan Pardew looks to get one over former club Newcastle at Selhurst Park. After raking in the points in their first two under the new man in charge, Dwight Gayle and Jason Puncheon have blanked in each of the last two, whilst Jack Colback rolls up as the Magpies’ form player after producing three goals and two assists in his last six outings.

The final match of the Gameweek sees West Brom entertain Swansea at the Hawthorns. Faith in Tony Pulis’ defence has slipped in recent matches, with Andre Wisdom owners preparing to bail out if he’s benched again. With Gylfi Sigurdsson serving the last of a three-match suspension and Wilfried Bony off to City, Garry Monk’s side may struggle to improve a record that’s seen them fail to score more than once in the last ten Gameweeks.

...and that's why I don't like rotating goalkeepers. If you have one strong GK, you're not going to get constant returns, but you'll get those points eventually, while with the rotating GKs it is possible to always play the wrong one. My Foster - Pantilimon combo went wrong yet again.

Well I always go for the obvious, I'm not a moron.
Swansea is more way more likely to score away than QPR, but it's just unpredictable.

To be clear I thought you were referring to just playing one of the two keepers that you already had, not a different keeper entirely.

You are contradicting yourself mate. Swans way more likely to score away then QPR... yet it's pure luck? Lol.

Obviously you always assume something is going to happen, but can get it totally wrong. Considering QPR have gotten 0 away points this season and WBA's defence hasn't looked good recently, I'd assume Pantilimon is a safer option than Foster, but as you may have seen the more logical option got 6pts less than the unsafe one...and for that I blame luck, because it's always a gamble.

It's a gamble but with the right decision making you can make it a +expectation gamble.

Luck is involved and you will sometimes get it wrong.

    Word to the wise:

The next two weeks may see price drops for the likes of Oscar, Alexis and Kun ahead of great fixtures.

Team value isn't important now. You probably have loads in the bank. Resist temptation, and save that FT.

Blank and double gameweeks coming up. Don't sell good picks because of a yellow flag and a £0.1m loss... They've got ages to recover. Stay strong, dudes! 😎

Sorry for not replying to your post a few hours ago about the WC, Demi.

What I meant to say, was I think Australia are my favourites. I don't think my beloved India will even get to the Semis to be brutally honest - only game we've won on Australia soil on this tour has been against Afghanistan!

In my heart, I'd much rather have New Zealand or South Africa win it. Love the way they both play the game and I'm backing Kane Williamson to get big runs. I don't tend to bet money on the cricket, though.

          Cheers man, no sweat.

I agree on Australia, but just wondering how costly the Faulkner injury could be. Plus there's all the pressure that goes with playing a home World Cup.

Would love AB to win it for South Africa. Kane most runs is a great shout, he's been sensational.

Yes indeed! He always seems to see them over the line, so I will be keeping a tab on that. Speaking of which, which Fantasy game are you playing - Cricinfo or ICC? I'm probably going to do both regardless - but I recall there was a thread about the CWC, so I'll have a search for that.

AB is absolutely fantastic - words can't describe him. Their bowling attack in those conditions will be a force to be reckoned with. Need to have a look at where their matches will be held. They'll be most effective at Perth, Brisbane and Wellington, I feel.

No Southampton defence is screwing me a bit. Might have to reverse course and get Alderweireld.

You know this is why much of the world laughs at footy..

Violent conduct. I've seen my four year old girl more violent at bath time.

Keep crying for a ban, we're still going to win the league

And what an achievement to win the league with that squad!

Building a great squad that works as a team is the name of the game isn't it?

Chelsea have zero net spend over the last 3 transfer windows, have made profits in 2 of the last 3 seasons and are well within FFP.

            How about your lot?

Oscar, Ramires, Azpi, he'll even costa and hazard weren't top players when we bought them.

Steady on. Costa was. No point arguing with Liverpool fans anyway, they'll always find something to whine about. Just let them enjoy the Europa League.
