The weekend cup defeat by in-form Liverpool may have paused Palace’s recent momentum but the narrow 2-1 reverse means Alan Pardew can now concentrate solely on Premier League matters. After producing three wins and a draw in five top-flight matches since their new manager rolled up to Selhurst Park last month, the Eagles now sit five points clear of the drop zone with 13 rounds of fixtures remaining.

Bearing in mind that Palace managed just three wins in their first 20 league outings prior to Pardew’s installation, it’s fair to say their form is very much on the up. With that in mind, we turn to the latest addition to our members section – the Team Profiles and Comparison Tool – to assess the impact of the former Newcastle boss as he looks to replicate Tony Pulis’ 2013/14 heroics and steer Palace to safety. These tools allow us to pinpoint any areas of improvement and/or issues of concern, in addition to highlighting the players who have benefitted most of all.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Just persuaded myself into my first -8 of the season

Cazorla, Defoe, Jones > Ozil, Ideye, Bellerin

Going to be egg on my face at the weekend. Trying to crack top 1000.

Congrats on the consistency with your rank mate.. Shows that a good week early on like your 105 pointer to jump into the top 70k from 600k was the turning point!

Onwards and upwards! But your move above is a little mad esp with champs league this week 🙂

Not only is it a hit, but I'd be left with 10 next week unless I got rid of Costa straight away (too much value tied up in Terry, Haz and Kane). I've gone of this idea actually, especially since Oscar is apparently fit.

    Premier League only :
Aguero is involved in a goal every 67 minutes
    Kane 75
    Costa 84
    Bony 117

They are sitting in pretty good teams, Falcao also takes 117 minutes, which is pretty good considering that he is sitting in a poorly(pun) built team in his first season in the world's best league after a very long injury layoff.

van Persie on the other hand takes158, showing his age although he has played more minutes than everybody else on this list.

      I don't fancy it.

Yaya will be more defensive now that City have a striker, I only consider him an option when City don't have Aguero, as that means he is on pens and has more offensive duties.

      Save for me.

      1. Puyol Pants Up

From looking at his history he seemed to have hit FPL form while he and Aguero were playing and continued that form after Aguero got injured.

Yes but look at earlier in the season, 1 goal 1 assist in the first 10 games of the season. If you watch City he plays a lot deeper with Aguero (compared to without).

If you are that keen on him, I'd at least wait for him to show signs of form before bringing him in.

Imagine Rooney dived like that to get England out the group stage of the Euros next year. The tone on here would be ridiculously different, more along the lines of -

    'Everyone does it'
'Good to see our English lads finally learning from the Europeans'

    ect....

sure this has been discussed to death before now but 3 shocking decisions in the game last night and a disgraceful dive by Rooney! Even more disgraceful is the 'football family' circling the wagons to try and justify it. Huge respect to Kevin Kilbane for saying what need to be said - it was a dive!
He (and anyone else going forward) should be banned for 5 games retrospectively for such blatant cheating otherwise diving will never be removed from the game.

True, no contact, but when you chop at a guy in full flight taking his legs out its a penalty.

What does Rooney have to do, get his ankle broken to appease some armchair critic auto haters?

I agree if you take his legs out it is a penalty but here is the key point again - he did not take his legs.
rooney jumped over the tackle and then threw himself on the floor

a foul is a foul by itself..have you seen defender got booked despite not making real contact due to reckless tackle ?

                    it is not a foul.
if that had taken place in the middle of the pitch after jumping over the tackle rooney would have kept going and the tackler would not have been booked either.

It is somewhat surprising when a top fella like Rooney is involved, that's probably the main thing

Keeper rolled the dice and got unlucky, but watch again in real time, think he impeded him

watch again in real time???? look I agree that any referee would have given that as a penalty BUT here is the key point....
replays showed that there is no contact and it is a blatant dive there should be retrospective action whether it be Rooney, Gerrard, Costa etc - 5 game ban. it is the only way we will stop cheating in the game!

and imo if that has to be baned better to get video replay implemented , easy..sometimes a player get tripped and staying on his foot might not earn a deserved penalty , would be no justice either..

I just made a major booboo. Panic transferred out Wisdom (before he dropped) for Rose and forgot my plan for the blank. so now I have two spurs and two Chelsea and will have to play with 10 for the blank. Someone tell me it's all going to be OK!
Is a Chelsea Blank GW guaranteed?

    My team is:

    Pants
    Terry PVA Bellenderin Rose
    Haz Sanchez Eriksen
    Giroud HurriKane Kun

3 Spurs and 2 Chelsea is trouble, you have only 9 to play GW27 at the moment. This week you are ok but you will have to get rid of at least 1 next week.
