Do you think Ameobi will start now that Colback is suspended for Newcastle?
-
Strange transfer to be considering
-
Sorry if it wasn't clear, but I have Ameobi already as a 5th mid and hoping he'll play so I can field XI.
-
I don't know to be honest
I've not paid much attention to the Newcastle midfield
Sorry that I can't be of any help-
No problem!
-
-
They dont play in the same position
-
-
-
-
Don't they play in the same position?
-
-
Kouyate could be a decent bench option or boydinho
-
No funds 🙁
-
-
Not relevant. DIfferent positions.
If Janmaat is fit then Raylor might play in Colback position.-
This. Ralor listed as def but plays oop.
-
on free kicks and corners too. But fitness is main issue.
-
-
Ah ok. So I might have to ship out Ameobi then. Thanks
-
-
-
Top four defenders to own the rest of the season?
Ivanovic, Clyne, who and who?-
What's your budget for the other two?
-
Probably, Kos Kompany and Bertrand. Take your pick
-
Sakho/Moreno, Kosc, City maaayybbeee
-
Skrtel and Lescott
-
I have skrtel, he's going. Fixtures are bad
-
-
I'd take Berty over Clyne due to price diff. Kos, Ivan, Terry.
-
Liverpool is making a claim. Then WBA
-
Ivanovic, JT, Lescott, Baines
-
-
I know everyone hates a Sunday evening score check and / or old fashioned brag.
So, here goes ; 44 points 😎 In 13 GWs I've dropped from 1k to 20k. That deserves a second 😎-
Doesn't deserve sunglasses 😉
-
Having my best season but can't get past 3 green arrows. 2 time I managed it both time followed by a drop
Rank is in 3K atm-
Good rank. I wouldn't worry too much. Three or more consecutive greens is very tough to get in the top 10k
-
It's tough in the top 10k. Averages are so high it's tough to make headway.
-
Yeah, I'm without Silva.
-
-
-
Gloater
-
I know, it just burst out.
-
-
Ouch, that is unlucky.
Who's doing the damage?-
Kaned 😯
-
Selling Kane on winter WC. wba, ARS, liv ..... He will dry up in those fixtures (that was my crazy logic). Captain Costa and a Walcott no show hurt this week.
-
Very much ouch!
Still not sure about Costa myself. Hardly owned him all season - can't easily get him in either.
-
-
-
55 😕 not a great week but considering only one of my defence started I'll take it
-
I'm in that realm of pure shiteness. Actually my shiteness is better than yours.
-
🙁
-
-
Nothing wrong with these kinds of brags and score checks mate, not if they make us all feel better... 😉
-
Glad I could help 🙂
-
-
-
So that was Liverpool's 5th consecutive CS away from home. Looks like Skrtel will be finding his way back into my team.
-
Strange that Liverpool defenders haven't been high on people's shopping list yet Jones from United has.
-
Jones was all about fixtures.
The whole season has been about form so far - I should really start to learn that. Although Liverpool's fixtures aren't great.
I think I'd like a City defender which I guess would have to be Zabaleta or Kompany. -
Yeah true. I had Moreno for a spell and regret selling now.
-
Because Utd went on a run of clean sheets before their nice fixtures so lured ppl in while Liverpool's run was only starting which nobody predicted.
-
-
As a Liverpool fan... I must say I look at those clean sheets the same way I look at Uniteds win record in the last 19 games...
"How the hell did that happen?!" -
They've just had some good fixtures for that however, it'll most likely end very soon.
-
-
I think Moreno is still an option even with those tough games coming up. He's still much better than Jones or any other United defender.
-
How come he didn't start today?
-
Ibe
-
-
Not next week he ain't, not against city. With defenders u gotta consider fixtures more.
-
-
What a rubbish gw. For me anyway. Not looking forward to next week either. Considering strange things like rojo in for 1 gw until he becomes vertonghen next. Can't see much better to do. Currently have Baird and pva starting 😯
-
We have pretty similar team. Holding on to walcott this week ? I was thinking to take a one week risk on Herrera/Walters then to take Eriksen
-
Well he's gonna become eriksen but I think I'll give him one more week. My defence is a massive problem.
-
-
-
How did downing play this wk? Thinking of boosting my mids by replacing downing with caz. Current team is as below:
Ddg, panti
Terry, clichy, Dawson, pva, wolschield
Haz, sanchez, downing, punch, silva
Aguero, gir, kane
Would downgrade Ddg and clichy to get funds for downing to caz transfer -
Captain pick next week if you dont have Sanchez?
My options; Aguero, Ozil, Di Maria, Walcott
Currently on Ozil-
I'm Gonna go kun I reckon.
-
Me too Ozil
-
Walcott is a headache 🙁
-
-
What to even do with this team, Ive got 5 people NOT playing, and then 3 people (!) that might not lol
Pantil
Clyne, Bellerin [!], Baird [!], (Terry, Wasil)
Sanchez, Boyd, Walcott (!), (Hazard, Fab)
Aguero, Defoe, (Kane)
2 Free transfers, £2m in the bank
Someone help please-
Wasil must go. I swapped for Lescott myself. I'd take a chance on the (!) players and sell one of your other players that you stand to lose the least on. I'd pick fab to Silva possibly.
-
Recommend baird to naughton and wasil to wolschield
Personally I don't mind taking hits for long term change so would also recommend Walcott to ozil and even fab to silva funds permitting. I have a feeling bellerin will play since chambers had a howler. I know that doesn't completely resolve the prob but at least improves the situation. -
Lovely, thank you both for the input, was trying to find a way to justify doing a hit for a defender but i guess there really is no other way lol. Ive been keen to get rid of Fab for a while so will do that.
-
I'd swap out Wasi and Fabregas. Go Silva or Sterling and then see what you have left for a starting cheap def. maybe Dawson?
-
-
Is Bertrand a good pick now that he's back from suspension?
-
Yes
-
Not for me, when you can get toby for .9m less
-
This.
-
#prayfortoby
-
😆
-
-
Cheers Demi, could do with keeping the extra cash to upgrade another defender for the DGW
-
Wait for fitness confirmation.
-
This.
-
Will do, cheers Lucy
-
-
-
But he's got no attacking threat and can't remember him been great for bps either.
-
Bertrand's attacking threat isn't THAT significant. He's no Baines. It depends if you think bps are worth nearly 1m.
-
Think he's always likely for the odd assist and goal and good for bps which IMO makes him worth the extra. With assist and clean sheet for example he's likely on for 12 pts. Toby will never get more then 6.
-
2 goals and 2 assists all season???????
-
Good returns for a defender. The potential is there for more. Not so long ago he was top of the defender charts. Ahead of his team mates.
-
But negligible differences for the extra cost.
-
I agree
-
-
That's actually pretty good. I believe only Ivanovic, Baines and Coleman have at least 2 goals and 2 assists so far this year among defenders. May have missed someone, and it's obviously not a really important stat (1 goal and 6 assists is better) but still Bertrand has good attacking production for a defender.
-
-
-
-
Not saying Bertrand won't outscore him but the .9m might be put to better use
-
In theory yes but it's always tough to actually do that. Like people spending money on sturridge when Kane and Austin will probably out score him. If u desperately need the extra money for a dgw player or high owned heavy hitter then make the sacrifice, but I'd always try and get the best player
-
But you don't know when that cash might come in handy.
-
That's a fair argument, the amount of times I've been 0.1 short in the past!
-
-
-
-
-
-
Yeah
-
Sure is
-
-
Never realised scott sinclair scored again. Much is he?
-
5.2m
-
-
We took a risk in my Jan WC with a defence including the likes of
Clichy, Zouma, Wisdom, PVA but overall I think it's worth it considering the money it freed up. -
ADM, Benteke to Austin, Eriksen (-4)? For the DGW?
-
Potentially yeah
-
Austin two tough fixtures. Is it worth it?
-
I'm looking to do ADM and Defoe to Eriksen and Austin for the DGW
-
I'll be bringing in Austin & Eriksen too, but without a hit.
-
-
So Ellia to Walters / Moses / Ki ? pls help
-
I have one FPL rule. Never. Buy. Walters.
-
I'd prefer him to Moses.
-
But y?
-
-
I think i'm going to bring in Moses this week. He's playing well and possibly on pens?
-
-
2 Defenders for the next GW only. Who should I go for ??
-
Berty and Haidara. Lescott maybe
-
-
Which one of these would you rather have next week (one week only):
Siggy (Burnley, away)
Downing (Palace, home)
Mane (West Brom, away)
Walters (Hull, home)
Coutinho (Man City, home)-
Downing I guess.
-
Mane easy
-
West Brom 2 clean sheets on the bounce has me slightly worried about that one
-
Which one did you favour?
-
Very unsure at the moment, but I'm leaning toward Siggy or Downing
-
-
-
-
-
-
wasi to wolly?
seems low risk, but im worried i should be getting rid of pva-
Yes
Give pva one more wk
-
-
So why doesnt PVA start? Just this week, or might continue?
-
Because he's a defensive liability.
-
Really don't think anybody knows for sure unfortunately. I'll probably be forced into starting him and hoping he plays...
-
-
Kouyate, what's the deal with him. An FPL prospect or not?
-
Annoying for PvA owners that a clean sheet was kept without him in the team but maybe that's exactly why?
-
Oops.
-
-
I did Albrighton to kouyate. Plays next week which gives me 11 and needed to use 1 transfer
-
-
Not a reply this time....
Annoying for PvA owners that a clean sheet was kept without him in the team but maybe that's exactly why?-
yep not good, with the blank it gives another potential non player too, with no bench 😕
-
-
I can't believe this stats. But, Lukaku:
9 shots, 9 shots in the box, 0 on target.
Wow -
Wasi and JT > Wolly and Haidara. They will basically just play this GW and be bench fodder after that.
Yay or nay? -
Written a blog on the emergence of youth in football if anyone's desperately bored this Sunday evening!
https://stefanborge.wordpress.com/2015/02/21/much-adu-about-nothing/ -
Anyone esle with Terry, Haz, Kane and PVA? What's your plan this week to field 11?
-
Transferring them all out then all back in again with the wildcard!!!
-
Might sell terry. The position can become vertonghen later.
-
I've got that plus Baird but no plan I'm afraid.
-
Benching PVA anyway
-
Yes. I have those four. I have 2FTs but only 0.4 itb. My initial thinking is to keep Kane and Hazard on the bench, but given that I have Baird, Bellerin, PvA, Baines and Terry, I feel I need to fix my defense to get 3-4 reliable starters in GW27 who can have a decent shot at a clean sheet.
So, move both Terry and Baird to two playing defenders for GW27 (maybe Bertrand and either Alderweireld/Naughton/Dawson), and then in GW28 use 1FT and 1 hit to move a mid to Eriksen and Defoe to Austin.
-
-
Albrighton to Kouyate and pray Wisdom starts or Wisdom to Kompany and forget about Albrighton replacement, therefore fielding 10?
-
Anyone?
-
chances of wisdom starting are slim.
Wisdom > Lescott/Dawson and Albrighton to someone (not enough info) and try to field 11.
-
-
Guys who is Wolly ?
-
Wollscheid, Stoke
-
Stoke defender. Wollscheid.
-
Don't you just hate the shortened names sometimes?
My personal pet peeve is "Wally" for Walcott.-
The new wolly is an imposter!
-
Alright, Andrew.
-
Not quite the same but touche!
-
🙂
-
-
-
Wolschield of Stoke, decent nailed on mid 4 mil defender if you happen to be in that mkt
-
Thanx guys
-
-
He rank in ufpl 13th 😯
15th for February too-
*GW rank
😆 -
Nice one. Picking Kane over Naismith didn't cost you too dearly then!?
-
Luckily not
-
-
-
Do I need to think about replacing PvA and Bellerin, or do we reckon they'll be back in for their next games?
-
Bellerin I fully expect to be a permanent. If he plays Barca midweek, he may rotate with Chambers next week though.
-
-
Da fuq are we doing, come on Viola
-
My tentative plan, 2FT, 0.4 itb. Taking the opportunity to fix my defense and hopeful clean sheets in GW27.
Heaton, Panti
Baines, Terry, Bellerin, PvA, Baird,
Hazard, Sanchez, Cazorla, Silva, Boyd
Kun, Kane, Defoe
GW27: Terry and Baird > Bertrand, and Alderweireld/Dawson/Naughton
Play 4-4-2 with Hazard and Kane on bench
GW28: Cazorla/Sanchez > Eriksen, and Defoe > Austin (-4)-
Sounds like a reasonable plan!
-
Thanks, the mind reels at the possibilities...fortunately, no immediate pressure to trade given no clear price changes on the horizon. And, I'd like to find out more definitive news on Alderweireld.
-
-
Solid move!
-
Thanks, man
