Occasionally a big hitter might be rested with CL and other midweek games taking priority. Also Moses is handy for when there are blank GW's such as this one. I think its a good time to have Moses as a 5th mid, even if he is on the bench most of the time.

Yes. You have some budget constraints but a hit to fix a woeful defence would be worth it in the long run. Also to field 11 players this week instead of say 8 or 9, its also a big plus.
3 transfers on cheap defenders though..including mcshane as part of the hit..
He'd have to transfer them out eventually anyway. Might as well do it all in one GW so he can field 11 players. McShane has started the last 3 and Hull are in form, don't see why he would be dropped.

Quite a few players did that when the had the TV league on the front page...They had insane numbers of transfers.
I don't really see it as cheating but I also don't bother myself. It's tough enough running one team let alone two.
I know some people use one as a punt team for a bit of fun. I'm not aware of too many people doing it to purposely give themselves a better chance of winning.

Cheating. Not in a sinister way perhaps but it is against the rules and it would prevent you winning FPL if you had a duplicate side.
It's a problem in one of my mini leagues, with the administrator and his multiple teams. No way of knowing what percentage of those teams are his. Some of the others are betting too.

If it's a team you put together after about GW 10 for a league with some late starters then it's fine...you can't win anyway and you all need to start with the same TV to make it fair
If it's a novelty team of some description, say all England or London clubs v Not London clubs, as I've done in the past, for novelty H2H's then that's fine as well...

Going to have to start working on a plan to bring Costa in GW34. I know it's quite far in advance but that could be an annoying player to get in when you currently have two cheapies up front.

I shall be backing £50 on city/barca double chance @ 29/100. This returns £14 profit if i also back the draw in play with another £50. That will be refunding if it loses hence it's risk free. So if the draw wins, obviously your pre-match bet loses, which isn't refunded so you get back £70 overall @ 12/5 instead of £120 profit.

Hah, i've not done it many times, so not quite sure. But others usually do long shots like goalscorer bets, 2 or more e.t.c, next goalscorer in play.
I tend to play safe and ensure guaranteed profit. So £50 on man city/barca double chance @ 29/100 would give £14, and then backing the draw as soon as it starts in play for £50 would give £70 profit at odds of 12/5 as it's (120-70)
So either way you make some £Cheers mate. Historically ive bet FGS with the in play bet but i think im going to be a little more conservative today. Ill have a look at the markets later and see if there is a better way of maximising profit and let you know if I find anything
