In an attempt to outfox Paddy this week, we’ve backed Manchester City’s elusive playmaker, Burnley’s talismanic striker and Newcastle’s top scorer to find their range this weekend.

Newcastle’s home clash against Aston Villa has us eyeing up Senegalese forward Papiss Cisse in our first wager of the week. The rangy frontman has recorded six goals in his last ten outings, scoring on average every 84 minutes. Moreover, Cisse has notched three braces so far this term, of which two were achieved in second-half cameos. As such, we think Paddy’s 10/1 odds on Cisse to score two or more goals against Tim Sherwood’s side are worthy of our first £3 investment.

We’re putting faith in Danny Ings to spark a Burnley win on Saturday as they host Swansea City at Turf Moor. Ings has been a revelation for the Clarets and approaches this fixture in great shape, having tallied five goals in their previous seven matches. The fact he’s scored in each of Burnley’s last three home clashes gives us further reason to part with another £3 and snap up Paddy’s 9/1 offer on Ings to score two or more goals against Swansea.

Our last, and favourite, bet this week has us backing David Silva to build upon last weekend’s brace and deliver a dominant performance at Anfield. The Spanish midfielder has netted three times in his previous four outings and proved his capacity to influence big matches with his goal at Stamford Bridge last month. With the 29-year-old in such fine form, we’re happy to take up Paddy’s 11/4 offer on Silva to score against Liverpool and hand over our remaining £4.

Register and Bet £10 And Get £20 Free

If you’re new to Paddy Power, you can take up any of these odds and get yourself a bonus. You can sign up on this site and get a free £20 when you register an account and bet a tenner.

Finally, of course, we should state that all these offers are only available to those aged 18 and over and are subject to Paddy Power’s terms and conditions. Also, if you’re going to bet, always gamble responsibly.

    2 FT's

    Foster (Myhill)
Naughton - Clyne - Bellerin - PVA (Terry)
Silva - Sanchez - Cazorla - Downing (Hazard)
    Defoe - Aguero (Kane)

    A: PVA -> Haidara
    B: Save

The problem is that Haidara is only better than PVA this week. Haidara has awful fixtures, and PVA could be back this GW.

He will win some places in the end by doing fewer transfers. That being said, if there's above 50% chance of a transfer increasing his points tally, then disregard the fewer transfer argument. It's all about the math.

That is if he is tie with people.. But even if this transfer gain him 1pt your theory goes out the window..

Exactly, so if you're "pretty sure" the transfer will win points, then do the transfer. By the way, he will tie with someone, unless he's in the top 100. The questions is if he cares about winning some hundred places on the OR.

Why would he choose THIS match to do that?

True. Maybe I am being a paranoid owner...

Sturridge more likely to be rested

I have 11 players this week, including Hutton and PvA, as well as 2FTs.

      Who's out?
      1) PvA
      2) Hutton

      Who's in?
      a) Tomkins (Better ppg than Cresswell, and at a lower price))
      b) Cresswell
      c) Someone else (who?)

        PvA

Cresswell (Bertrand if you can afford and don't have)

Agree about PvA. Not sure I want Cresswell over Tomkins (he's a set piece threat like, dear I say, none other), and I already have Clyne. Then there's me wanting to save some money for next week's transfers.

I have XI out if PvA plays and I think he will. I'm saving my 2nd FT for next week, going to get Rose in then. Plus Fab>Eriksen.

        c) I'd get Naughton.

Naughton is worth to consider. Cheap and regular (?) in a decent enough team.

      Aguero(c) it is for me.

Liverpool have had most of their recent clean sheets away from home...

The last five games between these two teams has yielded 20 goals...

Aguero has four in last three in all comps..

Not sure what to do with this lot:

      Foster
      Yoshida Hutton* PvA* Naughton
      AdM Sanchez Caz Puncheon
      Aguero Defoe

      (Myhill, Terry, Kane, Haz)

Until this week I thought I was looking OK with 11 starters, but then Hutton and PvA happened. Have 2 FTs and loads in the bank, Hutton and/or PvA to? All the options are pretty underwhelming!

        Hutton/PVA > Dawson.

Get rid of the other late. I'd keep PVA this GW though.

Yeah Poyet's comments suggest there's a chance he'll play I guess. Not sure about double up on West Brom, will look at it though thanks!

What to do with Defoe guys?

      A) Sakho
      B) Diouf
      C) Other?
      D) save FT

I need something different, my rival has a good squad this week.

      Cheers

If I had a FT I would get Sakho in a heartbeat.
