Aaron Ramsey is back for Arsenal. Liverpool’s Jordon Ibe faces up to a month on the sidelines, while the Tigers’ striker Nikica Jelavic could return against Sunderland. West Brom sweat on the fitness of their form forwards, as Tim Sherwood crosses his fingers over Ron Vlaar’s availability. Eagles captain Mile Jedinak could face severe repercussions for his apparent elbow on Diafra Sakho last week.

Aaron Ramsey has been passed fit for Arsenalโ€™s trip to QPR. Francis Coquelin may yet feature in spite of sustaining a broken nose on Sunday and will require a protective mask if selected, though Jack Wilshere and Mathieu Flamini remain sidelined for the Gunners.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers confirmed that Jordon Ibe wonโ€™t be available until the end of March, after the rising star sustained knee ligament damage during the Redsโ€™ Europa League clash against Besiktas. In better news, Steven Gerrard is progressing well in his rehabilitation.

Hull City boss Steve Bruce revealed that Nikica Jelavic, who sat out the Tigersโ€™ last match against Stoke City, could be in line for a start against Sunderland, having returned to training on Sunday. However, Robbie Brady has been ruled out for five-to-six weeks with a calf injury, while Maynor Figueroa is a doubt after sustaining a wound against the Potters.

Baggies striker duo Saido Berahino and Brown Ideye face late fitness tests to determine their availability for the West Midlands derby, with the pair suffering from foot and knee complaints, respectively. To compound Tony Pulis’ selection headache, Victor Anichebe is still sidelined with a groin injury.

Newly-installed Aston Villa head coach Tim Sherwood said that Ron Vlaar was “touch and go”ย with a calf complaint ahead of the West Brom clash but did rule outย Kieran Richardson and Aly Cissokho.

Sunderland were successful in their claim of wrongful dismissal with regards to Wes Brown’s sending off against Manchester United, prompting the FA to write off his one-match suspension. In other positive developments for the Black Cats, Gus Poyet declaredย Ricky Alvarez, Billy Jones and Jack Rodwell available for selection at the KC stadium. Adam Johnson has been suspended by the club following his arrest in light of off-field allegations.

Swansea’s Gylfi Sigurdsson is back in training after recovering from a minor hamstring injury and will be in line for a start against former club Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday evening.

Crystal Palace captain Mile Jedinak has been charged with an act of violent conduct after appearing to elbow West Ham’s Diafra Sakhoย at the end of the London Derby. If banned, the midfield general would be forced to sit out the Eagles next four match-ups (sot, QPR, sto, MCI), having already been sent off earlierย in the campaign against Sunderland – he has until 6pm this evening to appeal.

Finally, Southampton’s defence could be set for a well-timed boost with news that Ronald Koeman will include Toby Alderweireld in his squad if the Belgian came through Monday’s training session unscathed.

All this and more has now been updated in theย Team Newsย section ahead of tomorrowโ€™s deadline. Keep an eye on our officialย Twitter Streamย as breaking news unfolds.

Any traditions/policies people stick to when picking their team for a gameweek?

    My 2 are:

    1) Never captain Lukaku
    2) Always play players when they are up against their old club.

      1) Never captain Kane
      2) Only get Kane for DGW
      3) Trust Eriksen
      4) When in doubt captain Kun

Not really to be honest, I take all gameweeks as they come.

If it's a toss up between defender and midfielder/striker then I'll always choose the attacker. If there's a toss up on captain and no obvious one then I'll opt for the best player even when playing a more difficult team i.e Aguero this weekend

      1) never get lukaku/adebayor etc no matter how the fixtures are

      2) not getting the likes of kolarov

Kane is the obvious choice... just think that Austin is being overlooked. Can see Kane getting around 150 mins.. 30 mins extra for Austin as a penalty taker could work wonders

Sturridge - not on form, not starting, but big differential - already in my team

Austin - not many people not getting him in, most for a hit, but not on form.

Can't decide whether to get in Austin for a hit or not? He should at least get 4pts, Sturridge might only get 1 as a sub.

I know the rule about never taking a hit for a defender - but rules are there to be broken right?!?! Contemplating taking a -4 for Jones to anyone up to 6.0
Other defenders are: Bellerin, PvA, Bertrand, Baird

Zouma for me keeps popping his hand up. Thoughts? Anyone else worth a hit?

such rule is there to stop people from getting adventurous..thus u can safely ignore.

nevertheless if u take a hit for a defender u should at least get someone who is nailed on..good fixtures/attacking threat which is likely to get you points in the long run..and in the case of zouma u are getting rid of jones for another risky starter.

I would not be surprised if u end up only with bertrand starting on 1 fine week.

yeah as what above mention u can try a spurs defender..they are the best out of the current notch in terms of fixtures.

since u cannot afford a chelsea def..and soton not keeping cs recently..spurs seems the best..then followed by maybe WBA and then everton

Man United managed the magic 30 shots last GW, that's not achieved very often by any team. Just shows what can happen when Rooney is played where he belongs...

Plenty of other teams don't get near that number against ten men...and I'm not a United fan...

It's a good stat, but they still only scored twice, and Panti didn't save too many.

          Bad shooting!

    1. Ditch gf (-8)

    2. Ditch school (-16)

    3. Ditch school and gf ( -20)

    4. Keep both and pray. (No hits taken)

    Hi lads!

Already did Sanchez, ADM, Giroud to Austin, Ozil, Eriksen for a hit.

Current defence: Terry, Bertrand, PvA, McShane, Naughton.

Should I get Vertonghen for Naughton/McShane for a hit too?

My mind says Kane (C) but my heart says Austin (C). 60 pts behind in league and others are doing Kane so maybe it is time for all or nothing.

    What do you think?

60 is easily achievable, only 5 points a gameweek.
I would take punts on alternative players; ie Coutiniho, Ozil, Rooney etc, rather than a massive captaincy risk.

In a right pickle. Got 2 frees, 1.1m in the bank... Fixtures next week look bad for a lot of my team, which won't be improved bringing Spurs players in. And to complicate things, I have three Arsenal players who have QPR this week, so dropping them feels risky. Any ideas on the below....??

    Foster (Myhill)
    Clyne Bertrand Baines Trippier Baird
    Sanchez Ozil Hazard Mané Boyd
    Aguero Giroud Kane

I am toying with Giroud & Hazard to Austin & Eriksen. Risky, but would at least leave me plenty of cash for the following week.

Hmmm maybe. Palace looking fairly good... Not confident about my defensive double up, seemed like a good idea at the time! You just know that if I do that it'll be 1-1 with a Mane goal.

Baines to Cawson and Mane to Eriksen
