A weekend brace in Belgium’s 5-0 victory over Cyprus, followed by the opener in this evening’s clash with Israel, has continued Marouane Fellaini’s recent renaissance. Having struggled to make an impact since arriving at Old Trafford at the start of last season, the former Everton man is belatedly winning over the Old Trafford faithful as Louis van Gaal’s side close in on a top four finish.

With Robin van Persie sidelined through injury since Gameweek 27, Van Gaal’s decision to move to 4-3-3 and hand Fellaini a spot on the left of midfield has helped United register four successive wins, including back-to-back victories over top-four rivals Spurs and Liverpool in the last couple of Gameweeks. Whilst Juan Mata’s brace at Anfield has persuaded over 28,000 Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers to snap up his services, Fellaini – despite serving up a 13-point haul in his previous home appearance – has made his way into just 4,000 new teams.

As United prepare for the weekend visit of Villa, we take a look at Fellaini’s displays in the four match-winning streak without the stricken Van Persie. Delving into the data, we assess his performances against his previous numbers and also compare them to his team-mates and fellow midfielders alike.

Anyone else not going with a DGWer this week?

Flirted with the idea of Benteke or Austin (c) but any one of them worth it over in form Giroud?

Only for 2 weeks as think City got 2 great fixures compaired to most teams

        Be Sanchez Blank/CHELSEA

        yaya Wham/Villa

Then can swap them bck on gw35 wildcard

You are contextualizing it in a very specific way. Can't think either Alexis or Yaya are worth their price at the moment. You could rework your team differently and probably in a more effective way than looking at it like that.

Well, health and safety is a major issue with large livestock as loose animal could crush a child even if the animal is not aggressive. So you are really limited to arable farming and small livestock on that front.

A sheep farm for example is more managable but again you have issues as many rams can be quite aggressive and many sheep are relatively wild by nature such as Blackfaces and would not be suitable for a petting zoo so again it would limit the farming enterprise.

You also have the problems associated with animals and people such as the spread of disease. E coli is often spread if people are not careful.

Next location is an issue many farms are relatively remote and would not be easily accessed by numbers large enough to make it worthwhile for the farmer to open it as such.

Obviously there are some big advantages too. Everyone should understand the food chain and children knowing the process from field to fork is important for everyone involved. But on the whole for most farmers I think you would need a lot of extra facilities and staff to operate as a petting zoo in order to make it work and it probably is not worthwhile.

Yeah, it's best done to at least medium well. Can be really gamey if not aged properly. We have tons of them in the swamps in these parts. Will ruin you on domesticated pork. Duck is a close second for me.

    Ideas on this lot?

    Jakupovic - Pantilimon
van Aanholt - Alderweireld - Wollscheid - Clyne - Dawson
    Hazard - Sánchez - Silva - Boyd - Eriksen
    Austin - Agüero - Kane

2 FT, £1.6m in the bank.

    a) get a 2nd GK
    b) get a new def
    c) get a new mid
    d) get a new forward
    e) 2 of those for free (which 2?)

Wouldn't do E right now, simply because I'd want to get rid of Austin after this DGW and I'm unsure if you'd be in a position to make a significant upgrade Gw32 depending on your moves this week.

In general, I think both A and Austin out will be priorities going into Gw33 IMO. If you're going to WC in Gw34 (I am as well), then I think emphasizing your transfers and targeting them for Gw33 is a good route to take. Your backline is definitely fit for these next three so maybe B isn't as necessary as the others right now. Double Saints, Dawson and maybe Wolly Gw33 is a great defense to have.

So that said, you have 4 blank players right now and a non-playing GK, the rest of your team is well setup for the upcoming games. Maybe, a combination of these moves in preparation for the blank?

      Jaku to Myhill
      Sanchez + Austin to milf + Costa/upgrade
      Defender to Ivan?

Unsure on your stance on Sanchez though, but if you have a WC, I'd still want Ivan in prior to it as I see the coming QPR match as a great time to invest. Triple Chelsea for the QPR match is something to consider as well. So maybe you could leave out the GK trannie for now until Gw33, and just do Sanchez --> Mane/Siggy/Fella this week, then in tandem Austin + Defender to Costa + Ivan?

Similar team and dilemma to me. I would get Davis or Myhill in for Jaku but make sure you have enough money to factor in two more Chelsea players for the double. Should be fine if we sell Sanchez...

Do you reckon top 1k is achievable? I only ask because we have similar team/rank.

The churn seems to have reduced this year despite the price change NTI required coming down as it has in previous seasons. I've not checked whether that churn observation is perception or reality though. There certainly seems to be a smaller pool of players affected by price changes since January.

Yeah, I guess it's the drop off in interest from the less obsessed FPL players that's behind the decline in volatility. The drop in NTI boundaries can account for the drop in numbers making transfers, but not their willingness to consider a wider pool of players than the more obsessive players tend to.

Maybe the changes to the price change system have had some effect, but I haven't sat down and worked out whether that would be right. My instinct is to say no.

It could just be there hasn't been much change in viable options. I think the large squads many Premier League teams now employ are creating so many non guaranteed starters that the pool of viable options is smaller than in previous years.

Season ticker rates each of their fixtures about evenly. I know its not the definitive answer to fixture quality its but a good barometer nonetheless.

Based on form perhaps take Silva over Hazard? Kane is Kane though.

Hmm I dunno. I own a DGW striker so I haven't really thought much about the other captain options. I would feel more confident captaining Kane or Hazard over Aguero at this point in time, though.

Coin toss for me, think Kane will be second to Austin most capped.
Could play it safe there, really a coin toss IMO, all good options mate

Think that's what I'll do. Need to lose him for the blank either way, never mind the fact that he isn't playing. I'm just not crazy about the replacement options.

I can't decide if Mata is worth a go. RvP apparently touch and go to return versus City if not Villa. Would be selling Walcott who is my fifth mid currently. Already have four good mids in Haz, Silva, Erik and Caz otherwise I would almost definitely do it I think.

    Grrrr.

    Basically the question is...

    Does this...

    Young RvP Mata
    Rooney Fella/Herrera
    Carrick

    Work as well as this...

    Young Roon Mata
    Fella Herrera
    Carrick

    ?

I'm not so sure. In fact I'm almost certain it won't.

    Ugh.

So Aguero played 75 minutes tonight in New Jersey and scored a goal. Doesn't look like he was injured as he was subbed at the same time as 2 other players so probably routine. This can only be good because he scored but it is a long way back to Manchester and then he needs to go on an away day to London. Not ideal.

    Myhill
    Terry, Berty, PVA
    Sanchez, Hazard, Santi, Silva, Eriksen
    Aguero, Kane
