When Kevin Anderson’s workmates convinced him to put together a Fantasy Football squad the day before the season kick-off, little did they know that they’d unleashed a monster.

Eight months later, Kevin sits just three points off the top, £30,000 prize, in the Sky Sports game, having never played Fantasy Football. Regardless of the outcome, that’s a debut season to remember.

Kevin was our guest on this week’s live ScoutCast Hangout, joining Granville who made a return from his brief sulk hiatus, and Jonty to complete Tuesday night’s quartet.

We discover how Kevin’s relentless planning and stalking of opponents has helped him scale the ranks to within touching distance of the glittering prize. We also take time to digest the double Gameweek options, previewing the weekend with all the usual haphazard panache.

If you missed Monday’s live Hangout, you can catch the full version below, complete with that classic moment where I crash out of the conversation and leave the others hanging.

If you prefer your ScoutCast in a more slick, digestible format, you’ll want the edited audio experience, available on iTunes, via this link or the player below.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

This leaders debate is crap. Giving every one of them a chance to answer every question means no real discussion/debate and 5 parties that have zero chance of winning saying what they would do if they win!

    Plan A on WC:
Aguero, Costa, Kane upfront leaving me at risk of Austin doing well given high ownership but plenty of spare transfers in future for injury, DGW's etc

    Plan B on WC
    Austin, Benteke, Kane
Would need to use next 2 transfers on strikers, but might pay off handsomely

    Plan C on WC
Austin, Aguero, Kane - covers the massively held Austin and keeps Aguero for his nice fixtures.

Probably C, but look at getting Costa in next week if fit.

Villa's DGW is more like a single GW so I wouldn't bother getting that and then having to waste 2 non free xfrs on replacing the DGW strikers, as per plan B.

Aguero worries me as he's been p*ss poor lately, but there aren't many alternatives that don't have either bad fixtures (Rooney), injury concerns (Costa/Sturridge) or blanks upcoming (Giroud).

So, given the uncertainties surrounding the replacements I'd be inclined to go with those 3.

Giroud to austin or work on the foster & ballerin problem?

    Panti (foster)
    Ivan Bertrand Hutton (ballerin cresswell)
    Mane eriksen hazard silva (boyd)
    Kane giroud aguero

Your defence isn't in bad shape & you could play Panti, the Giroud to Austin is a big call with the firm he's been in.

I'm in a quandary myself with:

Taylor, Bellerin (rotate), Rose (injured), Wasi (dropped) & Dawson (sus)? Was thinking of Wasi to Yun & put Myhill in for Heaton, but may need to go with another def, who do you reckon?

I am 43 pts behind the leader of my cash ML and he has got Giroud, Kane, Costa as his front 3

however I am trying to cut his lead by bringing in Benteke as my DGWer

but my dilemma is who should I take out for Benteke

    Costa or Aguero

I'm thinking Costa at the mo because I have a feeling that Jose will rest him against Stoke and QPR
and then by him back in time for GW33

Any ideas about this plan would be appreciated

                They did

The party MPs and Members voted for his brother. But Labour's outdated voting system gave excess power to the Trade Union Vote and they voted for Ed, who then promptly reformed the system so that if the election he won had been voted on under this new system, his brother would have won

One thing that has always struck me about posters on this site is how many of them live and work in far flung places....people from many countries who regularly post about their travels (not just Brits btw). The reason they can do that is because people can also work here...I'm a bit jealous of them being able to do what they do tbh...Farage would seriously dent that ability to move around if he get's his way.

Blame the media for inviting UKIP to talks. The Greens rightly complained that there was no reason why they should be excluded from a debate that included UKIP. SNP and Plaid Cmyru jumped on the bandwagon.

Because they're not a national party standing throughout the whole UK?

Not worthy of a reply, we voted to stay in the Union and you honour us with this tripe.
Do you know what parties stand in Scotland? Name them?

Just suggesting a possible answer to the question raised. I'm glad they are all there, but the Ulster parties being excluded have a gripe

But it is important to understand how the SNP will interact with the other parties in a coalition government as it looks more and more likely that they will be a key member of said coalition.

the tv debate as a "forum" is sort of ridiculous. that's a debating competition. who's the best speaker, not who has best policies.

Chomsky: "I'm always put off by people who are called good speakers. By those who can rouse an audience. That's just what you do not want."

I good host would give Miliband & Cameron a chance to answer most questions and then bring in other parties where they had a relevant policy point to bring in. But 7 answers for every question is just tediuos

    Foster, Panti
    Ivan, Terry, Bertrand, Naughton, PvA
    Sanchez, Hazard, Eriksen, Mane, Moses
    Aguero, Kane, Austin

    2 FT, 0.8 ITB.

Nvm. Hmm...I'm thinking of a Austin exit plan for you haha
        Have one?

        Arsenal will probably beat Liverpool...

I have my WC so I may do Austin to Berahino next week for a two week punt and then use my WC on GW 34.

OK fair enough if you have your wildcard. That plan seems sound then.

Ironic how you say Arsenal will beat Liverpool and take Sanchez out 😛

I suggested Sterling because of his next few after but disregard that plan.

SNP leader looks good. But being half Scottish i want Scotland to stay in the UK. Especially now oil prices have fallen and the county can not sustain itself long term.

Bloody hell I thought I'd look on this forum to escape from these morons arguing on the telly. I think my vote will go to captaining Kun this week - he's a world class goal machine who's recent lack of points is more down to bad luck than form (look at the stats) and is massively overdue a massive messy explosion.

i read kun as kane just there while i skimmed your post and wondered what the hell you were on about with these lack of points 🙂
i feel you may be right though, he's my VC right now, might change yet, but hard to argue with kane

I'm set on Austin & Kane, but who to go alongside:

Benteke - on form, on fixtures, DGW
Aguero - 3 cracking fixtures and International goal should boost confidence
Giroud - brilliant form but tough fixtures and a blank

Whoever I get rid of will be gone within 2 weeks (Sturridge and Costa for the DGW's)

If gone in 2 weeks get Giroud then.

Cash in after he tears Burnley a new one and get Costa.

Play two out of the four:

    Shlupp (WHM)
    Vert (bur)
    PVA (NEW)
    Toby (eve)

    Very difficult...
