Our duel with Paddy this week has us investing faith in Chelsea’s stand-in striker, Arsenal’s Chilean livewire and Manchester United’s Spanish playmaker.

With Diego Costa out of contention for the time being, it falls upon Loic Remy to shoulder the goal scoring responsibility for Chelsea. The French marksman has taken up the mantle in the Blues’ last two fixtures, bagging the winners against Hull City and Stoke City. Couple this with the fact that Jose Mourinho’s men have recorded shut-outs in five of their last nine home clashes and we’re willing to take up Paddy’s 9/1 odds on Remy to score two or more goals and Chelsea to keep a clean sheet and part with our first £3.

Our second, and favourite, wager of the week takes us across the capital to North London. Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez rifled a 20-yard strike past the flailing arms of Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet last Gameweek and looks primed to keep Burnley’s rearguard busy when the Gunners travel to Turf Moor this evening. Considering that the Clarets have netted just one goal in their previous five outings, we’re swayed by Paddy’s 12/1 offer on Sanchez to score two ore more goals and Arsenal to keep a clean sheet, parting with another £4.

The Manchester derby is the destination of our final bet, with Red Devils midfielder Juan Mata piquing our interest in light of his brace against Liverpool in Gameweek 30. Manchester City’s defence has been breached in every one of their last seven road matches, while United have recorded three shut-outs in their last five. All things considered, Paddy’s 10/1 offer on Mata to score and Manchester United to keep a clean sheet looks like a fine source of investment for our remaining £3.

Austin has proved he can score against anyone. He looks second rate all game and then a sniff of a chance and he's the quickest most skillful player on the pitch. The only proviso is will the chances keep coming, but 31 games in why should things change now?

It does exactly answer the question you asked though

And if you want to discuss your second point, you are basing form on one fixture. The week before Spurs scored 4 goals at home to Leicester and Kane scored 3 of them, bit lucky to but he also makes his own luck. Hazard is a great option but you can't discount Spurs and Kane on the basis of one game

That LEI game was a month ago so I dont class that as form if the team really. And they did just look average vs Burnley, they looked bored with a huge lack of creativity

Kane is 4th Forward on form. 11 goals in ten games. 18 in 20. Six assists. 31 bonus points. What sort of form are you looking for?

Remy has little motivation to score in a team with some goalscoring options that has the leage won.

Austin, Benteke and Kane have no DGW but are primary scorers in teams whose season could hinge on goal difference.

'M not saying Remy isn't quality, he definitely is. Just that the other two play for teams built around their goalscoring and need to score plenty of goals as their final position could be decided on goal difference whereas Cheksea have the league won.

What are people's strategies when/if leading mini leagues by around 20-30 pts? Do you still play different players to look to increase your lead or try to play tactically by matching up?

For example, this week I have a choice between Silva (who all my rivals own) and Mane (who none of them own). In this mini league scenario I can think of reasons to argue for either. Appreciate any thoughts...

Would go Mane tbh, if your top of the league at he minute you're obviously doing something right, so go Mane IMO. Saying that I have both, I reckon Mane will get a haul 🙂

You just have to pick someone who your ML leaders won't pick. Those would likely be A, D and E, maybe even C. From there just pick the one you think will score most. I rank them as:

      D
      E
      A

Really considering Eriksen to Coutinho despite Eriksen's good fixture

Is schlupp really a decent option in defence? I'm thinking of going for Dann instead (replacement for naughton). Anyone else in a similar scenario?

I'm not sure any Leicester defender is worth it. He is oop but very wasteful

I was thinking of exactly the same moves and picked Schlupp this morning, done it as I had a FT and wanted to cash 0.1 profit before Naughton price fall
