It’s not often that we get to spend a good portion of the ScoutCast discussing Leicester City’s rich array of Fantasy talent.

That’s how this week’s episode pans out, as Luke aka “D1sable” does his George Boyd act to come off the bench and join myself, Granville and Jonty to analyse the impending double Gameweek.

We tackle the usual ScoutCast regulars, whilst deflecting the latest round of questions from the community, assessing the great Foxes hunt, the Hazard versus Sterling gamble and even how we can possibly eek out a valid target amongst the Hull City squad. Meanwhile, Granville is dreaming of a three-digit points bonanza as he joins the world’s number one in activating his belated FPL Wildcard.

This week’s episode was beamed out live on Monday evening via Google Hangouts. You can catch the full fat version via the player below.

For those who prefer a more refined, fine dining version, you’ll need to click this link or use the smaller player below for the edited MP3 audio.

Be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel and Google Plus page to keep informed of when future ScoutCast hit the screen.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

I have Hazard and Ivan from Chelsea
Henderson and Schulpp for DGW with 2 FTs

    What are my options?

I think Sterling, Skirtle and Terry/Cesc

Southampton are so strong defensively at home. Wanyama could be a big miss though. I do see Spurs scoring though, whether that's Kane remains to be seen.

    WC Active:

    Schmeichel

    Ivan Terry Skrtel
    Haz (c) Sterling Henderson Albrighton
    Aguero Kane Vardy/N'Doye

    Myhill | Ramsey Vlaar PvA

    GW35: Vardy/N'Doye --> Giroud

    Good to go?

Along with a lot of others I have Kane on the bench this week, but after that is it time for him to go ?...I thought he was a bit rubbish in his last game, and whilst he notched it had a lot more to do with Newcastle throwing caution to the wind than anything Spurs did...Keep or ditch ?

I'd only ditch for Benteke because he has shown a remarkable turn in form since Sherwood came in. It would also be if Kane and Spurs continue to look really poor.

Back 5 is Dawson, Wollsched, Fonte, Huth and Terry. Which DGW defender would you get for Dawson plus 1.2m? Reluctantly considering Moreno. Not convinced by Pool defence all of a sudden 🙁

    Hazard Sterling Henderson Fabs ?
    Aguero Kane Giroud/Murray/Vardy

2M saved for Fabs to Sanchez in either case..

    1 - Panti, Ivan, McShane

I guess this could pay off, and you could realistically keep skrtel til the end so its somewhat of an investment! I think it might be a good time to cash out on Bertrand anyway.

Captain.....cannot see beyond Haz or Sterling, but does anyone agree that given the fixtures, Sterling is actually the better shout ? Chelsea at Arsenal, and then at Leicester....that game has "0-0" written all over it. And yet Sterling is Liverpool's main striker...surely he is just as good, if not better, shout than Hazard ?

Is it really worth ignoring Vardy and going for a front 3 of Kun, Kane and Giroud on WC?

That would save me a transfer getting Giroud in next week and instead bring in Sanchez or Ramsey.

But I see Vardy in so many teams even though I'm not 100% convinced by him... Thoughts?

Don't get Vardy if you don't want to get him. Why should you be influenced by what other people are doing? Burnley and Chelsea are very tight defensively and what would you do with Vardy after the DGW?

    3. GreennRed
      • 14 Years
      10 years, 8 months ago

Yes. He's not the teams dominant attacking force like Kane, Giroud, Benteke, Aguero etc. Leicester have scored 10 in last 4 and there's a good spread of assisters and scorers. Could get 5 goals in the DGW. But 5 golas could be shared one apiece by him, Ulloa, Schlupp, Morgan and Albrighton. Murray is a better option round that price.

    4. ellelelle
      • 11 Years
      10 years, 8 months ago

People with WC or set up well in advance had more of a luxury to punt on Vardy.. but it is a punt at the end of the day.

If you like to play with your head and not get swayed by hope or hype.. I can see why you wouldn't want to get swept away.

Most of the people who've brought him in would never have considered him were it not for DGW..

Mahrez not playing so A but no Lovren, I'd advice as he's out of the team as soon as Sakhos back or even earlier

Ok cheers, altho Lovren is only 'pool def i can afford if i keep Silva and think he'll play both as Sakho's out until mid-May isn't he?

Lovren at 4.9 is fine for the double - Sakho is a hamstring so should miss both, but Lovren will need to be transferred out or benched the remainder of the way as could lose his spot.

I went w/ Skrtel myself but seriously considered Lovren to add 1m to my bank account.

A DGW doesn't make an average player into a great one.

Like an impulse buy at at a half price sale. Schmeicel, Albrighton, Elmohamaday, N'Doye, nice and cheap and 2 games in the GW but cost you one transfer to get them in and another to get them out with prob little return.

I think even those on a WC should be a little more cautious. Too many from that lot can be damaging.

There is a big difference between those with a WC and those without. If you have a WC its at no cost, and you're right, they are benchable. If you don't have a WC its not worth spending transfers or hits on surely.

Albrighton/Cambiasso and Schmeichel are benching material. Vardy is a one transfer out with enough money in the bank.

      Absolutely minimal risk IMO.

hence not getting any of them, like you say crap players are crap for 1 game or 2.

These players are playing for their premier league future. And playing against teams who've already secured theirs, in many cases.

If silva wasn't yellow flagged would he still had that much of transfers out?

Currently have Kane on the bench playing Walters against Sun.

    Do I

    A) Keep it like that
    B) Increase my -4 to a -8 put in Vardy for Kane and play Vardy over Walters.

Anyone else benching Kane but crapping themselves that it might backfire?

        Playing a 3.5.2

No - decided to keep Kane (on WC) and play with 8 DGW players rather than benching him and shifting to a 3-5-2 to accommodate a 9th DGW player. With 50% ownership, penalties to his name, and the golden boot to go for, it wasn't worth it for me to bench him and bring in a 5th midfielder.

Stuck with 3-4-3 as I've played all season, and have 8 DGW players as well as Kane, Aguero and Sanchez in the starting XI. Feeling quite confident as those three are all potential of explosive scores despite lacking a double.

    RMT

    Schmeichel - Myhill
    Skrtel - Terry - Ivanovic - Alderweireld - Duff
    Hazard - Sterling - Henderson - Cambiasso - Ramsey
    Vardy - Austin - Aguero

    3.6 in the bank
    Austin for Benteke week after

    A) Alder + Henderson?

    or

    B) Coutinho + Duff?

    For WC
