This evening we roll out the quarter final draw for the Fantasy Football Scout Cup XI, as sponsored by Paddy Power, as well as the semi-final draw for the Fantasy Football Members Cup V.

Mark continues to fight another day, after seeing off Eedee in round seven in the FFS Paddy Power Cup XI. He is the highest placed manager in the competition with a Fantasy Premier League rank of 155 and squares up to johni00 in the quarter finals.

Another of the FFScout team has made it through. Our moderator and Scoutcast guest Ryan beat the competition’s previously highest ranked manager, fuml_akimbo, and now faces HammersXI.

In the other quarter final ties, HuttonDressedAsLahm takes on Mowgli and faux_C is matched with Jon Nurse, who has won £25 worth of free bets with Paddy Power after his round seven tally of 68 proved to be round seven’s highest score.

In the Fantasy Football Members Cup V, the first semi-final will see the competition’s highest placed manager Tdubb05, who is ranked 1345th, take on waltzingmatildas. Meanwhile, Alwilb’s semi final opponent is faux_C, the only competitor to be in with a chance of winning both our cups.

The full quarter final draw for the FFS Paddy Power Cup XI can be found here, while the semi-final draw for the Members Scout Cup V can be found here.

Good luck to those involved in the weekend’s action. In the meantime, though, if you’re looking for more information on the Scout Cup schedule and prizes available, click this link for a more thorough rundown.

Rival has Sanchez and Giroud. I only have a 11 point lead and no Arsenal cover at the moment but 2FT.

    Do I:
    1. Try bring in Giroud and Sanchez for cover plus Ramsey in GW37 (3x ARS) no hits
    2. Bring in Sanchez and Benteke plus Ramsey in GW37 (2x ARS)
    3. Bring in Sanchez and Benteke then take a hit in GW37 for both Ramsey and Ozil (3x ARS) -4 hit
    4. Something else

    1. Woy of the Wovers

      4. Get Sanchez now. Bring the other two in next week.

Could do with a bit of advice this week lads. My bank balance of £0.0m is restricting me somewhat, best route to take this week? Team at the moment for GW 36 (1 FT):

    Krul
    Terry Skrtel C.Dawson
    Hazard Sanchez Silva Sterling
    Benteke Aguero Kane

subs - Davis, Grealish, van Aanholt, Naughton

    a) Skrtel > Bellerin (bank some cash for the DGW?)
    c) Sterling > Cazorla (only Arsenal MID i can afford with a straight swap)
    d) Sterling > Larsson (probably play Grealish this week and save Seb for the double?)
    e) Sterling & Skrtel > Ramsey & Bellerin (4 point hit)
    f) Save transfer

    What ya reckon?

        B) was the best one - Save, then two ARS mids in for GW37.

I'm secretly hoping Benteke is rested in the last game before the fa cup final, assuming they are safe. He's scary to not own on this form.

As for the OP, i like Sterling - Cazorla the best i think. Then assume you'd take a hit the following week to free up £ to get Giroud. Maybe Kane-Giroud and Silva > Larsson

Think E rules out Giroud? as 3 arsenal players

    Best option for next GW?

    A) Sterling (che) to Ramsey (SWA) for -4
    B) Henderson to Gomez (eve) for -4 and bench Sterling against Chelsea
    C) Play Sterling, without hit
    D) Play Henderson, without hit?

seeing lots of people writing off Giroud based on last night. his performance was actually exactly what Wenger wanted, pulling defenders out of shape so that the mids could wreak havoc.

let's hope this isn't the case the rest of the season but I wouldn't be surprised to see a haul vs Swansea and a lot of people about-facing

definitely, but that could just be a single-game game plan. Hull were on form so Wenger switched it up

      11 years, 3 days ago

it's not just the last game he has blanked.

Pelle has played that role most of the season too and look how it has effected his returns

with that midfield they should be encouraging Giroud to play like that every week

      1. sinik
        • Fantasy Football Scout Member
        • 12 Years
        11 years, 3 days ago

but Giroud isn't a typical striker..Pelle is a fairly average player..maybe his movement is decent but he has little technical skill and hold-up play.

with the type of player Giroud is, he should be part of the build-up too, not just a target man

      2. Camp No No
        • 12 Years
        11 years, 3 days ago

Nope. Pelle has not played that role, or not half to the extent that Giroud has done. He's been in the box, not finishing the ton of chances he's got.

        1. djenzio
          • 11 Years
          11 years, 3 days ago

          bit harsh no?

I think Pelle has been good. Koeman talked about his change in roll post Christmas. He is not a world class striker, but either is Giroud (he has improved a lot this season). Pelle is also on his first season and Saints midfield is nothing on Arsenals. I really rate Pelle and think he has been very good for Saints, as a whole team they dipped in form lately so hard to back him up in their recent run

It's because you're using the back arrow to view a thread before commenting again.

The new token system we've added doesn't allow that.

We may have to rollback if this kind of behaviour is common.

Let's see how many other folk are affected and how often.

I may not have explained that well.

It was happening on its own, the only reason I went back is because by doing so I could click Reply and my original response would still be there for me to copy to clipboard.

The first time it happened I just randomly decided to repost from that page, and it happened again. However after that I only went back to retrieve my response and then would go forward to post it, and this time it would work.

I honestly hope he doesn't start next game but with Carrick back, he'll be a threat again

Remy to Benteke a no brainer?
Since i've owned Remy his sub points have brought me 4, 6, 5 and 11. Not a bad return for a non-playing striker.

I have Giroud and Ramsey at the minute.

    1 FT
    a) Ivanovic to Baines
    b) Sterling to Silva

(I'm chasing my mini league leader by 30 points)

b definitely.. especially if the leader doesn't have him. He outscored Aguero this week! People have been eager to ship him out so I suspect he could become something of a differential.

Thanks to him and sanchez i am now just 6 points behind my ML leader! 🙂

Best cheapo defender? thinking Vlaar or McShane. McNair looks a bit punty and probably out once United get players back

Wouldn't fancy Soton defence now, 3 games against teams that are scoring plenty lately and 2 are away.

Guess it depends which wks you're likely to play him and your plans for the next 2 wks. Vlaar the best bet over the 3 as long as spending a bit more doesn't leave you short for your next move. If you only need him for this week then McShane

Who is more likely to get more minutes in the next 3 games?

    A) Ozil

    C) Ramsey

I think A regardless of Ramsey's knock... which according to scout cast doesn't seem that serious.

    RMT please

    Ospina, Myhill
    Terry, Clyne, Skrtel, Dawson, Hutton
    Hazard, Sanchez, Fabregas, Henderson, Boyd
    Aguero, Kane, Giroud

    1 FT, 0.7 ITB

    Any advice? Thanks

    Front three of
    A Vardy, Benteke, Kun
    or
    B Giroud, Kane, Kun
    or
    C Giroud, Benteke, Kun

C would be the ultimate.. I think B is what a lot of people will be contenting themselves with.

I have Vardy Giroud Benteke but I guess that doesn't deserve a letter 😛

C but guessing that means some team surgery to get them in?

Not really for C...may mean a cheap option in MID

      C would be great.

I'm thinking of Benteke, Kane and Kun. Stoke away and Hull home isn't too shabby
