Dugout Discussion – Man United Vs Tottenham

It’s here. The new Premier League season is upon us and begins within the fitting confines of the “theatre of dreams”.

Old Trafford hosts the season opener, as Louis van Gaal’s freshly sculpted Manchester Untied lineup host Tottenham.

It’s a lip-smacking, sun drenched prospect, played on a billiard table of a surface, with an array of Fantasy talent on show.

Immediately we hope to assess the prospects of both Wayne Rooney and Harry Kane – two protagonists who will surely play some part in our seasons, if not our Gameweek 1 lineups.

Following that, we’ve a quartet of three o’clock kick-offs and a tea-time date with the champions.

It’s great to be back.

    Was just browsing through the lineups of the people in my mini leagues, and I found the following :
    - a LOT of people have Schneiderlin in their teams, for some reason
    - a LOT of people have played their triple captain chip
    - someone has Guzan starting in goal with Courtois on the bench....
    - someone has captained Cameron Jerome (even though he has Hazard, Silva, Benteke and Rooney)

    Did anybody else notice strange things with their mini league competition lineups?

        Casual opponents in cash mini leagues are the best. One of mine palyer All Attack chip with Sanchez, Schweinsteinger and Costa in the squad, second one has Cech and Curtoise as his keepers and another has captained Baines.

    Darmian has looked solid defensively but not sure about attacking returns. He doesn't seem any more likely to cross the ball than Valencia did most of the time.

              It really was. Eventually we did the same thing when Cane came on for Kaino later in the 2nd half. Pocock and Hooper are both excellent though and a lot fitter than McCaw. The forwards were really poor for the AB's and its embarrassing that they got so dominated by the Wallabies forward pack. Its a new era for the Aussies up front.
