Dugout Discussion – Man United Vs Tottenham

It’s here. The new Premier League season is upon us and begins within the fitting confines of the “theatre of dreams”.

Old Trafford hosts the season opener, as Louis van Gaal’s freshly sculpted Manchester Untied lineup host Tottenham.

It’s a lip-smacking, sun drenched prospect, played on a billiard table of a surface, with an array of Fantasy talent on show.

Immediately we hope to assess the prospects of both Wayne Rooney and Harry Kane – two protagonists who will surely play some part in our seasons, if not our Gameweek 1 lineups.

Following that, we’ve a quartet of three o’clock kick-offs and a tea-time date with the champions.

It’s great to be back.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Anyone depressed about the Rooney assist I suggest you rage quit now while it's early.

It was a clear assist? I was surprised it was even questioned.

If he plays like this for the rest of the season I will be happy

Yes. He should've scored it by himself.

Right, I might be willing to move on and forget about this travesty and just enjoy the second half. But if the pig gets any bonus for that assist then Bemba Da won't be the only person spamming FPL with emails

How do you not have Rooney?

I own him just my mate has him captain and the fact that thats an assist just puts the whole game in jepordy

Depay is to selfish for the no. 10 role. Should play winger but you can't ditch Young in that form...

You can totally move Mata to no 10 and Depay to the wing, though.

Early days but both United CDMs bossing the baps, could be a early sign of things to come

Probably because the attackers of both teams are failing to produce chances, little bonus for them and little bonus for the defenders since they don't have much to do

So LVG says Mata is his penalty taker but Shearer says that Rooney might be on them and everyone believes him.

Can't see the game lads. What's this about Rooney assist? Either he was last player to touch ball before OG or not. Rules are simple.

But it depends if he forced Walker into the OG, which he did. It's much more complicated but the right decision.
