Today’s action concludes with a fitting climax, as we drop in on the champions at Stamford Bridge.

Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea go into the opening day clash with Swansea having won 15 of their 19 home league matches, without suffering defeat.

However, Garry Monk’s side turn up having claimed all three points at Old Trafford on the opening day of last season and will be looking to improve on their performances against the Blues: they shipped nine goals to them last term, suffering 5-0 and 4-2 defeats.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

      Payet isn't in my team but I expect him to be in the top 20 by the end of the season created most chances in the top 5 leagues last season

    Hate toying with the transfers page after 1st day.

        He is a class act. He was a class act end of last season and I should have followed it up. Claudio was playing him at RWB all through pre-season. Just couldn't justify it. We live and learn. Hugely disappointed.

    20 from 5 (plus Richards off the bench) so that's 27 or 28 depending on his final bappage. Sterling, Ozil, Mane, Tekkers and Kosc to come and Tim Westwood points waiting if none of the last 5 play. Nice, steady start and a bucket of Villa points on my bench!

    Ayew looks like a proper FPL midfielder pick, plays on the wing, but he was getting into the box allot alongside Gomis. Looks to have the skill and physique for the premier league.
