Watched the whole game and didn't look that bad. Got lost a bit granted but could have easily had an assist/goal if the finishing was a bit better.

His finishing wasn't great. But his finishing last year was pretty solid, I'm putting it down to first day nerves

It could have been better had I stuck with my Albrighton call. Took a punt on Ibe instead. I'm not a fan of Wally and Rooney but they are both handy short term placeholders for Aguero. They are somewhat protective moves as well, just in case I'm wrong about them.

Yep, was in the same boat..so I just decided to get Aguero instead 🙂

Albrighton would have just been a ridiculous masterstroke. Not a fan of Ibe from an FPL persepctive this season, but I don't mind the punt for GW1. Either way, you look in good shape for a nice GW1 score.

We'll see. I'm still not sure Walcott will start but I'm happy to see what might develop over 2GW's. He'll either be a world beater or a risk too far like last season.

Aguero saves you a big hassle by having him now. You'll be in good shape without having to 'plan' transfers.

Yep Walcott the big question mark. Hope he does well I love him, just didn't want to bother with the headache. My thinking exactly with Aguero, but we'll see. If he bags 3 points after the first 2 gameweeks it won't seem so wise...

Arsene also prefers a right winger who will help out Bellerin. He isn't solid defensively.

True, but you have to remember that I have other players that I invested in using the Hazard money, and they don't just have 1 or 2 favourable fixtures in the first 8, the whole block's favourable for some of 'em.

        But, yes...that and new.

Hazard was playing Swansea who are no mugs mate, they will be one of the toughest tests at Stamford Bridge this year in the BPL. Monk has organised them very very well. Hazard will explode against lower end teams like Bournemouth, Norwich etc.

Yes, but I'm not planning to go without him for the whole season...just the first 8 gws after which I will WC and get him in.

In the first 8 GWs he doesn't play against any lower end teams like Bournemouth, Norwich etc.

Just Newcastle away, which is just 1 blip out of 8. I have money invested elswhere, it's not like I dumped the Hazard money in the trash. 😉

    Kane vs Rooney

Fourth is ivanovic (c) vs Walcott(c) ,think that will make me pay the most.

Last second I went from Kane and sterling to Kun and mahrez

Leicester look a different side this season, with Pearson and Cambiasso gone. No more lofty passes over the top, instead fast and confident passing up field. Vardy is getting way better service, he could have scored 2 or 3.
I'm seriously considering a Mahrez - Vardy combo going forward.

Doubling a bit knee jerky for my liking, but I fear Vardy was severely overlooked as a third striker option this preseason. I anticipate plenty double switching him in along with Aguero very soon.

Rooney owner here. Glad for the 5 points, and if he could average that for every game for 38 fixtures it wouldn't be all that terrible... But my god, there was nothing there today. We should, as owners, be thankful that Walker scored for him. And at least got us some points.

Accidentally played Rudd, not Ruddy, thereby having 0 points from goalkeeper at the moment (although the autosub will take care of that in the end).
But it occurs to me that if you're doing the 2 x GK from same team strategy (and both my teams are, one Rudd(y), the other Schm/Schw), then you should ALWAYS play the non-playing goalkeeper...
    a) for troll value in minileagues / H2Hs
    b) In case GK 1 gets sent off (a la Courtois today: Bego: 2pts, Courtois -2pts)
    c) If GK 1 gets injured, it's only actually going to cost you points if injury happens in the last 30 minutes (especially of a clean sheet). If it happens in the first 30 minutes you're better off. In the middle 30 it's a push.

Would be great to know the frequency of GK sending offs versus injuries to absolutely check the expected outcomes, but I'm pretty confident game theory says play the second string goal-keeper.
I shall do this all season [or at least until I can afford to rotate two 1st choice keepers].

This was discussed a week back. One more scenario is that many times this means the coming keeper has a chance for a peno save as well.

But there were some more pitfalls.. will try to search that post.

Hadn't thought of that: good point. Which is effectively a free bite at the penalty save cherry, because the outgoing goalie is going to be charged for the goal as well if it goes in...

Interested to know what the pitfalls could be - can only think of
        a) Tactical sub of goalie in last minute, but I can't think of that *ever* happening.
        b) Goalie injury in minutes 60-90 of a clean sheet. But balanced out by seemingly equal chance of goalie injury in minutes 1-30, and then no further goals conceded.

Honestly can't think of any others...
