Worst part about yesterday was, I had Mahrez and Vardy in my final draft. But I switched out both at about 11.30. How depressing.

Weeell he looked dangerous in the last quarter of the game. He looked bereft of fitness the first half, but seemed to get sharper and sharper as the game went. Might be the short pre-season, but he'll get there 🙂

i like a punt and am currently thinking 16/1 Martinez in the sack race is great odds, yesterdays result wouldnt have helped as they needed 3 points there but going forward they have absolutely horrible fixtures over the next 3 months and are toiling with injuries...... what do people think?

          What's big trouble though?

They wont be near relegation, and they've got a lot of young players with sell-on value. Theoretically they should be looking for Europe, but if they miss out it's not a disaster.

          1. Well, I would be worried about relegation.

Yeah we not convinced on McCarthy, most Palace fans would have preferred Hennessy overall. Very happy I stuck with both Cabaye and Zaha from my initial draft though, goal a piece was a great start 🙂

Surely if you were going to get Hennessey, you should have got McCarthy as well to ensure a playing GK...

Gambling on one or the other was always going to end in disaster.

Mings (that one didn't work well), Fabregas, Chadli and Wilson out

Walcott , Ozil, Benteke and Koscielny in

and seriously considering Puncheon (5) -> Henderson.

Overall I think the Leicester options stand out as some nice fillers (I had 4 of them ) and Swansea might be another team on the watch list. As for teams like Chelsea or United I'd wait til the end of the transfer window (4 weeks) to see what the overall trend is.

And Schmeichel -> Mignolet as well. Ended up on 47 points, so can't really complain.

Hennessey > Stekelenburg and Mings > Koscielny are no brainers. Will also do Hazard > Walcott, Mane > Chadli and Wilson > Benteke. Leaving Sakho on the bench. Theo (C) if he starts, if not I'll take a punt on Mane, or possibly even Koscielny. Silva my only player to come on Monday.

Off to a good start, with Mahrez and Vardy to thank for it. Puncheon, Rooney and Azpi will also stay in after their assists. Only small downside was a last minute swap from Guzan to Hennessey - the first of many points stuck in the reserves I expect!

Not planning any transfers for next week - want to keep as many as possible for the end of the month as they can be banked, then use them at once as an effective WC, setting up for the first half of the season.

Realised last night that I have Ospina on my bench! A result of having made my team ages ago and dividing my focus between too many games so I didn't spot it when I checked it over on Friday. Shoddy behaviour and not the start I needed!

Did you think that Falcao would start, Doosra? How are you looking at the situation now?

        Just curious. 🙂

Eh? More than ever before at the start of a season I'm almost certain. Finished with 3.5 million last season which was a record by far, looks inevitable that will be broken.

        1. 4 million the year before last, 3.8 last year, ? this year?

It's never touched 4 million - was around 3 million two years ago. The game is growing.

Last time Swans beat Mutd so were hailed has a top top team, before being thumped by Chelsea. This year they improve a little more.

Sunderland up next. Grabban missed an open goal so Jerome really ought to start.

Forget Mahrez,Cabaye is the real deal. Only if he had better fixtures.

Chance creation,goals,set-pieces,proven,playing with good players. What more do you want?

I expect him to play more CAM than CDM. Mutch won't last there, and they may opt for more grit (in the form of Jedinak) against harder teams, pushing Cabaye forward.

Many people would have had many things, many players. Put that sad face away, you've got 37 gameweeks of catch-up to do.

    2. Well, then ... I have both ...

If kun had been fit Mahrez would have blanked.
The wife of one of cities medical team knows the brother of Mahrez's best mate. Had he been fit thus doctor would have been free on Thurs night and met him for a bite to eat. On the way home a car crash would have happened that meant Mahrez wasn't 100% concentrating on his preoerarion for the Sunderland game and would have been ineffectual abd subbed at half time
