After yesterday’s disappointing start, many Fantasy managers will be looking for some of Sunday’s heavy hitters to come to the rescue.

A couple of 1.30pm kick-offs get us underway. Community Shield winners Arsenal welcome West Ham to the Emirates before Steven McClaren takes charge of Newcastle for the first time in the top-flight as in-form Southampton roll up to St James’ Park.

Stoke play host to big-spending Liverpool in the late kick-off, with Brendan Rodgers’ side looking to immediately avenge their 6-1 mauling at the Britannia in the final league fixture of 2014/15.

This is my 8th season playing and this had to have been the hardest initial team selection ever and is probably my lowest first week score ever.

doubt Cedric is dropped. Just a tactical change because of his yellow

Papiss Cisse chips the ball into the path of Gabriel Obertan who sprints down the right wing and puts in a perfectly weighted cross for new boy Georginio Wijnaldum.

The £14.5m signing rises to meet the cross and places a header into the top left corner.

Good going forward on the overlap. Struggled against pace of Obertan and Haidara. Could easily have had a yellow before and after he was booked.
