After yesterday’s disappointing start, many Fantasy managers will be looking for some of Sunday’s heavy hitters to come to the rescue.

A couple of 1.30pm kick-offs get us underway. Community Shield winners Arsenal welcome West Ham to the Emirates before Steven McClaren takes charge of Newcastle for the first time in the top-flight as in-form Southampton roll up to St James’ Park.

Stoke play host to big-spending Liverpool in the late kick-off, with Brendan Rodgers’ side looking to immediately avenge their 6-1 mauling at the Britannia in the final league fixture of 2014/15.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Right, so Stoke to beat Liverpool and WBA thrash City...and this week will go down as the worst Gw 1 in history

I could actually see that happening, and it would have the added effect of the United fans getting hyped up. 😯

Walcott any good against a team with 11 behind the ball lying deep?

West Ham are the first team that have had the sense to get themselves knocked out of the Europa League before the start of the season.

Yeah I went Jenkinson from the start for the WHM/BOU rotation. Don't get the CS today but still happy to save the transfer.

12/1 is quite poor, WH were 17+ on Betfair
Arsenal received some heavy backing in the past day or two
