After yesterday’s disappointing start, many Fantasy managers will be looking for some of Sunday’s heavy hitters to come to the rescue.

A couple of 1.30pm kick-offs get us underway. Community Shield winners Arsenal welcome West Ham to the Emirates before Steven McClaren takes charge of Newcastle for the first time in the top-flight as in-form Southampton roll up to St James’ Park.

Stoke play host to big-spending Liverpool in the late kick-off, with Brendan Rodgers’ side looking to immediately avenge their 6-1 mauling at the Britannia in the final league fixture of 2014/15.

    Possibly, but any 6 mil defender could do as well as Azpilli
    Surely Clyne and Darmian have more threat and good defences

    Personally I'm considering doubling on Smalling + Darmian. Utd could be soooo solid this season

      Darmian was the only 'solid' player in defence I thought. The Man United defence is still fragile IMO
