After yesterday’s disappointing start, many Fantasy managers will be looking for some of Sunday’s heavy hitters to come to the rescue.

A couple of 1.30pm kick-offs get us underway. Community Shield winners Arsenal welcome West Ham to the Emirates before Steven McClaren takes charge of Newcastle for the first time in the top-flight as in-form Southampton roll up to St James’ Park.

Stoke play host to big-spending Liverpool in the late kick-off, with Brendan Rodgers’ side looking to immediately avenge their 6-1 mauling at the Britannia in the final league fixture of 2014/15.

          I think Adam is widely misunderstood. He's not actually a dirty player but his lack of pace, athleticism and tackling ability make his tackles look late and dirty.

    I think this is a great game week in the long term, plenty of people will be playing ill advised wildcards and losing points on multiple transfers on a whim.

    I watched the Southampton game and Mane was very very dangerous, so I wouldn't worry about him just yet.

    He obviously wasn't sharp today, but he gets into so many good chances and his speed plus directness make him more or less perfect for FPL.

            This. As Newcastle tired he could have had a few goals. He assisted the assister twice. He was one player I brought in late and mainly because of his popularity here and him scoring midweek. If anything, seeing him today made me glad I've got him going forward.

        He looked like he did last season, more in a good way than a bad way. Should keep ticking over with assists and penalties but I don't think he has any chance to keep up with Mane in the longer run.
