After yesterday’s disappointing start, many Fantasy managers will be looking for some of Sunday’s heavy hitters to come to the rescue.

A couple of 1.30pm kick-offs get us underway. Community Shield winners Arsenal welcome West Ham to the Emirates before Steven McClaren takes charge of Newcastle for the first time in the top-flight as in-form Southampton roll up to St James’ Park.

Stoke play host to big-spending Liverpool in the late kick-off, with Brendan Rodgers’ side looking to immediately avenge their 6-1 mauling at the Britannia in the final league fixture of 2014/15.

    I think I'm going to go into the new gameweek happy that a lot around me have given me 4pts or possibly blown their wildcard.

    Lots of talk about signing this player and that and none of them seem to include Sanchez and Aguero.

    As a City fan, I should be incredibly happy with all the results so far, but no, instead I'm kicking myself over poor performances from Ivanovic, Hazard, Walcott, and Rooney...

    Apart from Mahrez, none of my players have got more than 2 points. I am consoled by knowing a lot of people will be in a similar boat and many wont even have Mahrez ....
