After yesterday’s disappointing start, many Fantasy managers will be looking for some of Sunday’s heavy hitters to come to the rescue.

A couple of 1.30pm kick-offs get us underway. Community Shield winners Arsenal welcome West Ham to the Emirates before Steven McClaren takes charge of Newcastle for the first time in the top-flight as in-form Southampton roll up to St James’ Park.

Stoke play host to big-spending Liverpool in the late kick-off, with Brendan Rodgers’ side looking to immediately avenge their 6-1 mauling at the Britannia in the final league fixture of 2014/15.

    It was somewhat unthinkable that Arsenal would lose because of having the worst GK in the match, when they had Cech and Hammers had Adrian. I'd guess that won't happen too many times.

        Never said he is. But Cech is a world class one. I can't see Arsenal losing the GK battle often this season, and if they keep on winning shots in the box at these rates, only having the way worse GK would prevent them from winning a great majority of their matches.

      Nothings happened so far.
      Glen Johnson is playing like Cafu in his prime. Liverpool are playing long balls towards Benteke. Coutinho and Affelay look good. Nothings really happened.

        Yes! Even when ryan is fit. Wolly proved to be poor, wilson makes one massive mistake every game and Cameron is used to fill up the gaps at rb/cb/cdm. Muniesa is class

    LOL I've wildcarded 1st GW like last year. The more I looked at my team the more I hated. Got Hazard, Sterling, Aguero and Sanchez then supplemented with good value like Mahrez, D Sakho and Gomis.

          cedric is fine, play adrian every week and downgrade boruc to a 4.0, upgrade sakho > gomis and i like the team

          I'd be wary of the knee jerk. Next week, instead of Mahrez, Ayew and co, it could be Bolasie, Ritchie etc.

      Pelle scored a good header, though Newcastle weren't too good defending crosses. He didn't do much else that I remember except the yellow card towards the end of the game.

      Looked like getting a second yellow in the first half. Sounds like he played brilliantly going forward so not sure why he'd go off otherwise.

        I wouldn't say he was brilliant going forward, but he did put in a good cross for the goal. The worry for Koeman would be that he will face tougher opponents than Obertan and Haidara and he really struggled one on one with them two.
