          Cleverly on your bench right?

Other than cleverly Your team looks good but No need to make a transfer just to fix your bench. Or will you rotate with Mahrez as ki or shelvey could work for that.

I d save though, hard to bench mahrex after a brace. 2ft could be very useful next week

    1. Valar(Keith)

8 assists in half a season last year.. looked brilliant vs Chelsea. That being said Shelvey looked great too and frees up some well needed cash

Jenkinson owners - are you concerned about WHU keeping a cleanie against Arsenal, meaning it may be hard for him to push back into the back 4 atleast for this week?

    1. Mr Sarcastic
      11 years, 2 months ago

      Little.
Same goes for Coates, Cedric, Walcott in my team 😕

      1. mccormibar
        11 years, 2 months ago

Yeah I'm concerned about this too, and more so that I play him and he gets 8 mins off the bench.

    2. Skipdipper
      11 years, 2 months ago

      Concerned but hopefully won't happen!
But that "never change a winning team" thing is a threat

Also have PVA and Saylor in defence. PVA could easily be dropped on back of gw1 performance

  9. Amateur Pundit Zan

Would love to have gomis this week. Best captain option imo. Tekkers, Rooney and sakho all have decent fixtures to so I can't justify the move

    1. Test Eagles
      11 years, 2 months ago

Agreed, he looked really dangerous against Chelsea and gets in good areas. Once he and the mids develop that connection he'll be able to time his runs and get in around defences for scoring opportunities. Great to watch.

        1. Walsh

I think so. Between him and Benteke...haven't decided fully but it's on Gomis at the moment.

        2. Walsh
          11 years, 2 months ago

Mbemba really impressed me against Southampton. I think Newcastle defense is going to settle. I'm eyeing Krul already for when I fire the WC.

  17. Test Eagles
    11 years, 2 months ago

I'll say this much about GW1. I'm glad that we all suffered some terrible scores and that the template worked about as badly as I've ever seen it operate, especially GW1. If Hazard, Walcott, Costa, Aguero, Sanchez, Koscielny, Sterling, Ivanovic, etc. had all fired there would be a template 20 players in every team for the next 5 GWs.

As it stands people are considering the likes of Ayew, Payet, Cabaye, Barkley, Gomis, a 16-year old in CDM for West Ham, Kompany is back on the radar, the mid table goalkeepers.

It's great for the fantasy game, the less template the better and the greater the opportunity to jump the ranks for the diligent and thoughtful manager. I'm excited, i think it's a really great way to start, and I know there were some pretty disappointed people aroudn these parts the last few days ... but good! Green arrows incoming, banter a-plenty, serious decisions to be made.

    It's a game ... this is fun!!!!

If I knew the answer to this...but as long as you have a good defense overall he certainly seems a very good pick. He was basically playing as a midfielder today...as per usual for him.

You think we will survive with only one price drop for Walcott before next sunday?
Looks like Payet will rise only once this week.

I'm trying to convice myself to accept that 0.2 loss in value, but 0.3 could be just enough for me to make a move already.

    1. Walsh
      11 years, 2 months ago

It seems that way at the moment. Not sure what the Towers are doing that there hasn't been any price changes yet. Maybe they are letting latecomers a little benefit.

      1. ACCOUNTING ON CHRIS

Walcott went from -25% to -35% yesterday, hopefully he slows down today/tomorrow so he's only - 55% on Thursday and I can wait until Saturday to make the move.

of all city Mids now Yaya looks a worthy pick for 8.5?? any suggestion?

    1. Walsh
      11 years, 2 months ago

He was always a good pick at his price.

    2. Aaron Ramessi - Straya
      11 years, 2 months ago

he's a good pick, so is silva, so is sterling

    3. Test Eagles
      11 years, 2 months ago

It still seems a raffle for me.

Yaya will do this, and especially when Aguero is not on the field - takes free kicks and is on penos. But then can go missing for games on end.

Silva is Mr Consistent who'll always be involved in attacking forays and is more likely to assist than score, but has the pedigree and history to warrant his price-tag.

Sterling is explosive and capable of scoring against anyone, but can also go missing if he's marked out of the game. He seemed more likely to assist the assister the other day, but again could justify his price tag.

I'm waiting 1-2 more weeks, despite their ability to score against anyone.

      1. ACCOUNTING ON CHRIS
        11 years, 2 months ago

I agree. I don't think sterling will be a good pick, he seems to be just distributing it back into the middle for Silva to pass to someone...

Indeed. Nice call on Wijnaldum mate!

Thanks Walsh! Was really the lone bright spot of the last game week for me, but at least there was a bright spot then!

Not too well here, pal, but very pleased with my team so I am quite happy even though I had a stinker 🙂

That's all that counts then, it's a marathon not a sprint and as long as you're set up for the long haul your team will start firing

Hey AR, good to see you back around these parts! (For some reason I hadn't see you in a while )
Cheers for the answer, just happy to have Oxford, certainly wasn't going to start him last week but now he's a useful asset

Don't understand the Rooney and benteke runaway leaders of the captain poll.

Benteke v the Bournemouth defence looks promising

Other than Gomis I can't see many better options than those 2. Kane maybe

Can someone explain to me how silva didnt get any bonus points even though he got man of the match and by far the best player on the pitch?!?!?

bonus points are allocated based on statistics in fpl...was unlucky not to be given the goal though

All about the stats, he might have missed a few passes, shot off target, not made many tackles, etc. It's odd, I know, but it's all about the numbers.

Walcott to Ayew. Is that a Knee Jerk?

TBH Walcott is a pain in the arse and Swansea have half decent fixtures. Thoughts?

Not too big of a fan, I'd hold Wally for one more. I still think Siggy is the pick of that midfield too.

It is an option but i personally went for sterling out. Chelsea is a tough fix and Sterling is a poor finisher looking like playing in his shell for now

He really should have put that chance away last night. I don't think I'm going to have anyone else from City besides Aguero, as much as I love Silva.

Yeah Walshy, you've got a point. For 0.5 Siggy does look excellent value.

      1. Walsh

He will always have it rough when they play a top four side and they are getting sort of bossed at the middle of the park but against everyone else they should exert their will on the opponent and he will be in the thick of things. He's being very overlooked to me.

Absolutely. I'm going to save this week I think and then chop and change the week after.

          Cheers!

Ayew was good.. But Montero and Shelvey were great! Both got voted Motm by different publications. i'd wait a week and gather more stats for the best swans mid. it may end up being Shelvey + 1.5

Montero was class. Watching him take Ivan for a ride reminds me of the Arsenal game where Chambers got his arse handed to him. Beautiful stuff.

I'll admit it. Getting rid of Theo feels alright. Hasn't shown form. He might score a hat trick but I'm done with wondering whether he'll start or not. Like my nailed on attackers.
