Southampton’s Jordy Clasie suffers an injury setback. Arsene Wenger welcomes back Hector Bellerin ahead of the Crystal Palace trip. Swansea’s Ki Sung-Yeung is set to return to training following injury, whilst David de Gea remains unavailable for selection for United.

Hector Bellerin is back in the Arsenal squad after missing the opening day loss to West Ham with a muscle injury. Meanwhile, Danny Welbeck, Jack Wilshere and Tomas Rosicky remain sidelined for the Gunners. Arsene Wenger has also confirmed that Alexis Sanchez is ready for the weekend, having worked hard during the week.

Newcastle will have Vurnon Anita available for the Swansea clash, with the midfielder returning to training this week after being stretchered off in the stalemate with Southampton. The weekend, however, will come too soon for Paul Dummett and Remy Cabella who remain out with hamstring and thigh injuries respectively.

Ronald Koeman has confirmed that midfielder Jordy Clasie is out for two to three weeks with an ankle injury sustained whilst playing for the Under 21s in midweek. Fellow summer signing Steven Caulker is also ruled out for the weekend with a sinus infection. Koeman remains hopeful that Ryan Bertrand could return to training in two weeks.

Tim Sherwood has conceded that Jack Grealish, Carles Gil and Jores Okore remain sidelined through injury for Villa’s encounter with United tonight.

Roberto Martinez issued some encouraging news ahead of Everton’s trip to Southampton. Gerard Deulofeu, Mo Besic and Aiden McGeady are all expected to be available after missing the season opener with Watford, whilst Kevin Mirallas was due to return to train yesterday after recovering from the ankle problem that forced him off last Saturday. Leighton Baines is out for 12 to 14 weeks, however, after undergoing ankle surgery.

Watford duo Steven Berghuis and Almen Abdi have returned to training after missing last weekend’s draw with Everton through injury. The pair are expected to be available for the weekend, Quique Sanchez Flores has suggested.

Despite reports of his arrest last week, Slaven Bilic has confirmed that Diafra Sakho has trained normally during the week, and forward is available for selection against the Foxes. Elsewhere, Pedro Obiang has returned to training for the Hammers and is in contention for the weekend.

Spurs have a fully-fit squad for the visit of Stoke, according to Mauricio Pochettino. Hugo Lloris and Danny Rose are in contention for first-team returns, whilst Andros Townsend and Alex Pritchard are also available after recovering from injuries.

Mark Hughes has revealed that Peter Odemwingie is ruled out for two weeks with a hamstring injury. Fellow attacker Bojan is expected to step up his recovery with a run-out for the reserves at the weekend. Hughes is also optimistic that Marko Arnautovic and Marc Wilson will be available for the Spurs trip, after injury setbacks suffered at the start of the season.

Swansea midfielder Ki Sung-yeung is set to train after limping off with a hamstring injury against Chelsea last weekend – Garry Monk is expected to make a late decision on his fitness. Defender Jordi Amat is back and available for selection after recovering from a broken metatarsal suffered at the end of last season.

Louis van Gaal has confirmed that David De Gea remains unavailable for selection, due to ongoing transfer speculation. Marcos Rojo remains short of fitness and won’t be considered for the trip to Villa Park.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream as breaking news unfolds.

    Hi All

    Hope you're well!

My current team for this week:

    Pantilimon
    Huth Targett Gomez
    Hazard Sterling Silva Anya
    Rooney Aguero Defoe

    Mccarthy, Mings Aarons Richards

Who should I captain this week? And apart from the obvious City heavy part, shall I just save my FT for next week? Can't see any glaring transfers I need to make?

    Thanks in advance!

being a liverpool fan having watched benteke first game not too convinced just yet
sanchez away at palace with possible early sub
rooney early kickoff generally always fails for me

Agree. As a Liverpool fan I would wait to see him get on the scoresheet before captaining him. It is tempting but could easily get 2 pts

Unfortunately no clear choice. I would actually give hendo the C if I knew he'd play more advanced this week

Feel like Walcott's weekend pans out in one of two ways :
    1) He starts and gets a brace
    2) Comes on as a sub and has no attacking returns.

Will be a lot of people saying I told you so either way.
(As a Theo owner I'd take somewhere in the middle)

And if he does and scores?

Imo it's a calculated risk, I understand people's decisions to get rid of him just after the deadline today with the price drop tonight (in order to fund other moves)

I want to play it conservative since it is only GW2, no major risks. Just watch him play then decide. Not changing my policy on using FTs just because everyone else is jumping ship

I'm holding onto him for this GW (see last page)

Not ditching him early, others would be forcing me to do it (because of his early price drop), not because I would want to before seeing him play

Nothing, he's an obnoxious bully. She, and Jon Fearn, were obliged to go on the pitch, play would not have restarted if they hadn't. Hazard called for them and the referee waved them on, Mourinho just needs a scapegoat to mask his, and the team's, failings.

Video clearly shows the ref waving them on. Hazard had been down a good 20 seconds and not go up, ref checked him then waved the medical team on TWICE. Then they jogged on to attend Hazard. Not like they immediately just ran on. Craziness from Mou.

Sell fixtures don't look great and need that 0.1 to make other transfers i.e. Man City players in

Just got in sanchez for hazard.

Big risk considering majority of my ml have hazard. But not convinced by chelsea yet so will probably get him back on wc along with kun after 3-4 gw's.

any advice with team selection /transfers this week

the courtois red card and hennesy not temporary number one at CP has left me a GK issue so theres the obvious FT
but with mahrez playing so well and walcott seemingly dropped can I really put one of my most expensive players on the bench?

    will sakho play?

    current squad:

    courtois, hennesy

    mertesacker, darmian, cedric, alderw, richards

    walcott, mane, hazard, sterling, mahrez

    rooney, sakho, ighalo

    thanks in advance

im currently thinking - courtouis to butland this week as a long term thing. adrian would be the obv choice with the fixture this weekend but his price has already risen and i like stokes next few fixtures after spurs

Play 3-5-2 then, ighalo as first sub to come in if walcott not playing.

Depay for Captain?. I'm thinking picking him as a differential for the captaincy this week. Majority is going Rooney and I have a sneaking feeling Depay will get a goal and an assist tonight. What do yous think?

Apparently Kaboul was the worst of them so I imagine he will be the one to get replaced first.

I'm in a bit of a dilemma. Currently with Gomis

    Who should I captain?

    A) Gomis
    B) Manè

    And why?

    1. ALegendJ
      • 12 Years
      10 years, 8 months ago

I'd go Mane, safer, Gomis did not really convince me as a finisher with hattricks potential, he needed so many chances to score one

      Gomis most def.

Better fixtures, Monk has said them to attack more this season, pens.

When Swans scores he is likely to be involved.

    Fabianski
    Koscielny, Coates, Cedric
    Haz, Ozil, Sinclair, Mata
    Rooney, Wilson, Pelle (C)

    Schmeichel, Hoolahan, Huth, Francis

2FT to do Roo to Aguero, not sure on the other yet!
