Hazard vs Silva ( for fellow wildcarders who would you prefer)

    --------------------------------------------------------------------

    Last Season

    Silva - 12 goals / 12 assists / 28 bps

    Hazard - 14 goals / 10 assists / 42 bps

In terms of end product they are similar. Lets look at their advantages.

Hazards - Bonus points, Pens. Captaincy potential(assuming most wont captain silva with Kun in their team)

Silva - Form, Fixtures, 1.5m Cheaper

    Who'd you prefer ?

Really want both but think i may have to compromise on Yaya over Silva. This means i can have Yaya, Aguero, Hazard, Sanchez, Gomis and a Man City defeder/ Darmian without totally ruining the rest of the team

Toss up between Butland and Myhill for keeper

Slightly favouring Butland more since Pullis wasts trannys in and play Chelski next

Butland the better pick? Guzan also has some ok fixtures too

He wants to spend a fortune on trannys so wondering if he will get a keeper in! Marshall mentioned around apparently

Any reason in particular why you lads are opting for him over Butland and Guzan?

Prob have to transfer em when Foster eventually returns (long time prob), Chelski next and Pullis might get a keeper in!

well, what i'm getting at here is, the league leader carries out the research on players, transfers them in, those players do well and rivals then follow suit by transferring those players in.

Impossible to copy unless you are sitting next to him while he makes picks. The others are chasing points which is probably why the leader is winning

I've had the leader copy my transfers to stop me catching him, but I suppose that's a valid ('block') tactic.

Yeah, I actually watched MNF, and it sounds that Gary blamed Kaboul for not be able to command the defense and poor positioning as well. Checked Sunderland forum, it seems they want O'Shea to play this weekend. He dropped his price just now, so I'm considering him on my bench. I really need that 0.1.

Need a below 4.5 DEF at the moment. I could go for 4.5m but 0.1 will help me to improve my midfield.

Is there any regular FPL players, that normally finish in the top 1000 or so who have had a nightmare start and have not yet wildcarded? I have had a dreadful start but just don't want to wildcard yet, I have used free transfer to get in Aguero as planned and i'm keeping faith with Hazard

Lost 3 big names in GW1.
When I remove teams, I'll know about this round.
        Christina was one from GW1.

I'm having an awful start to the season, possibly my worst ever.

Wondering if the chips have something to do with it. They're so nice and shiny, especially the triple captain one. Very hard to ignore. I think there must be a lot of casuals who have used the triple already (perhaps on Benteke last night) which is making the OR of duff teams like my own look especially bad.

Triple captain is not even 20 points max.
Ranks are skewed, bench boost can easily have more scoring.

      1. Marknlard
        11 years, 2 months ago

No one has destroyed the triple captain yet, but at this early stage even 9 more points from someone like Benteke can be a few 100k places.

Could be any of the chips though, bench boost included.

After 44 points over the last two gameweeks, is it smart to start a new team from GW3, having the WC in tact, or just WCing my current team?

I have been so dreadfully unlucky!!!

RMT for my new wild card selection

    Romero, McCarthy
    Williams, Kompany, Darmian, Martin, Gomez,
    Payet, Ayew,Cabaye, Mahrez, YaYa
    Lukaku, Aguero, Benteke

I've been toying with the idea of downgrading a forward and midfield to make room for Sanchez too

My reasons on Silva is that it will be easier to quickly get Hazard back in if he explodes.
Just seems a more reasonable spread of funds.

Price changes seem very moderate. Couple of risers each day. No double risers expected this week. Grats to everyone holding their WC.

    Open Controls
    1. Nerazzuro
      11 years, 2 months ago

I think the Aguero rise was the most meaningful as it pushed those who planned to bring him in earlier than expected due to not budgeting for the rise.

      Open Controls
      1. dmhomag
        11 years, 2 months ago

You can do that for a -4 instead of WC.

        Open Controls
    2. Diva
      11 years, 2 months ago

A few double rises could yet happen. A more important consideration is avoiding price drops. A shortage of double risers will only demonstrate the value of avoiding 0.1 drops.

Can we stop overlooking Hazard? People are so focused on what happened in recent memory they forget that he's one of the best players and FPL prospects available. Leaving him out of a Wildcard team is criminal.

You can't afford Silva/Hazard/Aguero and Sanchez - one of them has to go, may as well by the most expensive and off form one

      (not counting Aguero in that)
