1 riser, 0 Fallers so far this season. Zero projected risers/fallers tomorrow as well... (Unless I make my Silva trade)

I wonder if people are too quick to dismiss Sterling. He has had a fair few chances so far this season. If we look at how he played with a similar attack (Sturridge and Suarez) he got a lot of goals and assists. He is now 2 years older and a slightly more advanced player than Silva plus over a million cheaper. I think he may be the player of choice. Remember points scored doesn't=points to be scored.

He looked like a rabbit caught in the headlights on Sunday. Like he was in awe of some of the players round about him. I thought he would hit the ground running but he will take time to adapt

Granted be hasn't had involvement in the goals scored. But he as had lots of involvement high up the pitch. The fact he hasn't got off the mark by week 2 isn't the end of the world. If we are still here in week 5and the same is true then maybe it is time to reassess. But for now I think he still looks a good option.

6 goals for city. 0 Involvement. I can see him being a "Navas" type player this season in terms of FPL. Yaya/Aguero/Silva to rack up all City's points.

@Wakey.. Posted this before the Newcastle game. Got him in back then too..

Sometimes it's difficult for us FPL managers to look at a player in a different light. Whether it was Ramsey @5.5 a few years ago or Yaya at 6 it's impossible for us to fathom that a player we previously dismissed has suddenly become an fpl heavyweight. I honestly feel that another such situation is developing with Jonjo Shelvey...

After he got criticized for his ban last December he returned in GW 23 and was told to either up his game or leave. He was known for losing possession making bad tackles and not keeping up his fitness. The 4 match ban was when Monk finally lost patience with him and even criticised him publicly. However, Shelvey improved tenfold after returning and did not fail to impress. After registering a measly 1 goal and assist in the season's first half he upped his game upon being given a second chance.
From that point until the season end he got 2 goals and 4 assists(same as Ozil for eg. over that period) and averaged more than 4 points per game.
Members compare Shelvey last season GW 1 to 22 and GW 23 to 38 and prepare to be stunned.
Honestly feel we have a bargain on our hands, especially with all signs pointing to an even bigger improvement this season. in the 15 games he played upon returning from suspension he scored 65 points. with no freak games in between which skewed his points tally.
With a more attacking role and greater presence on set pieces this season we could see his breakout fpl year.

Yep...thanks....My thoughts exactly. He's not going to be Sanchez but I can see a very solid year for him. Henderson would be the comparison for me.

I am planning about a WC in GW4, and I am surprised at the number of defences with great fixtures from GW5-10...

Manchester City, Liverpool, Stoke City, Aston Villa and Bournemouth all have absolutely golden home fixtures in that period.

This is just about what I wild carded to, except my defense is a little different. I think its pretty well balanced. Some might suggest darmian or williams in the defense but it depends on if you got any price rises.

Can you make money in your wildcard week? i.e. buying players early who could go up in value in the week and then selling them for profit before the deadline. Is that possible?

    ????????

Yes, you can make a profit of 0.1 on each player whose value increases by 0.2.

You can also avoid losing value by selling players whose price is about to fall and then buying them back at the lower price.

(And you can also lose 0.1 if you sell a player who has already risen by 0.1 since you bought him and then want to buy him back).
