Did two rage transfers on Saturday (had 2 FTs), and hence my team for this upcoming week is like.

    Butland,
    Azpilicueta, Williams, Mertesacker,
    Hazard, Ozil, Chadli, Payet,
    Rooney, Sakho, Gomis.

Will probably do Rooney -> Aguero for GW4.

Not even sure why i'm keeping my WC with the new rule this year.. Will probably plan my team so well and have so much patience that i'll have the team i want by December only to be forced to WC a few weeks later 😆

Years of hoarding it until GW 33+ has made it impossible for me to even consider using it early. not sure if i'm gonna benefit or lose out cause of this, this year.

Hard to know, the only positive is that you will go less time without a WC (as everyone sensible will hold until DGW30ish) and that you'll have some more solid information when you play yours 🙂

Always been an early Wildcarder... Always been abused for it in my ML, by casuals who all think I'm panicking...

I think it's valid strategy to get on bandwagon's early, raise team value or just prevent yourself from missing out on players you want (or making frustrating downgrades to do so).

I've always felt comfortable with my decision, but never more so than this year. 😀

    Morning chaps,

Would really appreciate any advice on the below.

I've played my widlcard this week to try and catch some risers and avoid some fallers as I had a awful start. What do you think of this as a final team for the end of the week?

    Romero / mcCarthy

    Kolarov / Richards / Williams / Lovren / Targett

    Haz / Sanchez / Ayew / Mahrez /Westwood

    Aguero / Benteke / Wilson

    0.3 ITB

The main question marks for me are Wilson & Targett.

    Cheers,

Silva gives me the chance to get hazard whn he hits form.

Big debate with my dad about whether its good or not to double up in mid, def or attack. He thinks it doesn't matter in the long term, and he might be right about that. What's your opinion?

The reason you supposedly shouldn't pick Sakho & Payet or Gomis & Ayew is because you're relying on two players fro the same team scoring, which intuitively doesn't happen every week.

However, think of it this way... What if you choose Sakho/Ayew, and it's Gomis/Payet that tear up FPL!?

Fact is you just need to pick the players you think will score the most points. I suppose the value of spreading your players comes if you have a squad built to allow for attacking rotation, and you can therefore drop you Swansea player when they go to the Etihad, but most teams I see are pretty loaded for a strong first XI, so is that realistically a factor.

      Those are my thoughts...

This 3rd mid and striker spot is really hard for me 🙁

    For mid spot: Özil,Cazorla,Payet

    For striker spot: Diouf,Sakho

Payet and Sakho (fixtures still good)

Im going with diouf, but mainly because i don't want to double up with west ham in mid and attack.
Ozil is best, but if you spend the 0.9 good I dont see a reason why not payet

I think Muniesa is safer tbh, and as their the same price, prefer him. But Cameron should in theory be good till Shawcross returns as well

Yeah, just Muniesa seems more injury prone, hence why I think I may go for the American....

    A) Yaya + Ozil + Hazard + Pelle

    B) Silva + Sanchez + Payet + Pelle

Wpuld you hit the wildcard on this gents?

    Ruddy Butland
    Ivan Kos Coates Huth Francis
    Hazard wally Chadli Ritchie Fletcher
    Rooney Benteke Sakho

    Have 2 ft so could do for a -4 instead;

    Ivan to Darmian
    Walcott to Ayew
    Rooney to Aguero

    A) Hazard - Diouf

    OR

    B) Alexis - Another striker..

Not so optimistic on Diouf. But I'm backing Hazard for the next match as I think Chelsea will go all out attack.

Im very close to swapping Hazard > Silva as it would really allow me to strengthen my team elsewhere.

    Is this madness??

Not madness, Silva has the potential to get into god-mode with his upcoming fixtures. Hazard is bound to hit the ground soon enough though, so it's a nice dilemma to have.
