Christian Eriksen remains sidelined for Tottenham’s home clash with Everton. Arsene Wenger has central defensive concerns ahead of Arsenal’s trip to Newcastle, Diafra Sakho is expected to overcome a groin problem for the Hammers, whilst Palace receive mixed injury news in midfield ahead of their visit to the Bridge.

Arsene Wenger could be without both his first choice centre-backs once again at Newcastle this weekend. Per Mertesacker is still sick, while Laurent Koscielny will be assessed later today – the former is less likely to be fit, according to the Gunners boss. Danny Welbeck is progressing well following his knee injury and could return after the international break.

Diafra Sakho looks likely to overcome a groin problem in time to face Liverpool, according to Slaven Bilic. Elsewhere, Kevin Nolan has left the Hammers by mutual consent.

Brendan Galloway remains a doubt for Everton after being forced off with a knee problem last weekend. Roberto Martinez has also confirmed that John Stones “will be ready” to face Spurs, despite Chelsea’s ongoing interest.

Mile Jedinak suffered a hamstring injury in the midweek Capital one Cup clash, and will be out of action for two to three weeks, suggests Alan Pardew. Meanwhile Pardew has revealed that Yannick Bolasie will return to the Palace squad this weekend, following the death of his father last week. Connor Wickham could return from a rib injury, though Julian Speroni remains out and is expected to return to full training next week.

Watford have no fresh injury worries but will be without summer signing Miguel Britos, who is set to serve a three-match ban for violent conduct after being sent off in the Capital One Cup earlier this week.

Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed that Christian Eriksen remains sidelined with a knee injury. Andros Townsend is back in training however, and could be available. Pochettino has also admitted it’s unlikely that he’ll start new boy Clinton Njie due to fitness reasons, whilst the Spurs boss confirmed that Danny Rose – who has yet to start a league match – is now fully fit after sustaining a problem against Real Madrid during pre-season.

Norwich boss Alex Neil has stated that the club have suspended forward Lewis Grabban until next Tuesday, due to disciplinary reasons. Martin Olsson is expected to step up his recovery with a run out for the U21’s today.

Sadio Mane looks set to be available for Southampton’s clash with Norwich. The Senegal international recovered from a hip injury sustained at the weekend and was an unused sub in last night’s Europa League loss to FC Midtylland.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream as breaking news unfolds.

    (Missed the new post!)

Best time to play the All out attack or bench boost?

Would the all out attack be chip be worth holding onto until a DGW? How can we be guaranteed that the stars will align and hand us some smashing DGW fixtures - this is something we can't be sure of just yet.

I thought I'd look at the season ticker and see just when the stars could align for teams that are owned by the majority. Those teams are: Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United. Pretty much a given. I've thrown Leicester in the mix also who are performing well and offer cheap fillers.

So what week (at this stage - excluding fixture changes etc) offers the most favourable fixtures for these teams, which could offer a good opportunity to play the All Out Attack or even Bench Boost chip. I'm not going to post every week as frankly, the post will be as long as a page.

    GW4:
Good | MCI (WAT) LIV (WHM) ARS (new) CHE (CPL) MUN (swa) LEI (bou)
also serves up favourable games for SOT (NOR) BOU (LEI) AVL (SUN) STO (WBA) SUN (avl)

GW20 (the reverse fixture of GW4)
Good | MCI (wat) LIV (whm) ARS (NEW) CHE (cpl) MUN (SWA) LEI (BOU)
also serves up favourable games for but more away games: SOT (nor) BOU (lei) AVL (sun) STO (wba) SUN (AVL)

I have to admit, GW4 looks very tasty at this stage with some very favourable fixtures for all teams listed. The reverse fixture of GW20 still looks nice, but less "HOME" games.

It might be early in the season for playing a chip in GW4, but could be worth considering if you have the right players and bench this weekend. A bunch of great match ups which could return some mega points.

bench boost in DGW, all out attack when you have defender issues and a good 5th mid. all out attack is actually quite crap

      • 11 Years
      10 years, 7 months ago

with the bench boost you don't really need tasty DGW, your aim with this chip is to maximise your bench returns. considering your bench is more likely to be made up from fodder and rotators then all you are looking for is DGW for those players so you then get two bites at the cherry with the chip. (cherry chips hmmm)
It could even be argued that a poor DGW will benefit this chip more, that way you get to keep most of your star players in first 11 and not ruin future GW

AOA better for a week where your defence is struggling due to injuries, blank weeks, suspensions and poor fixtures.

i was wondering about this something today and was about to post. I'm on a wildcard and very seriously conemplating playing the bench boost card this week, as the fixtures just look too good.

This might be the place to ask this again...

Seems like homepage / Scout tweets doesn't always show line up's before matches anymore, why's that?
This has been the case for many times this season.
I know we can find them in articles / stickies, but homepage was/is superior place for these.

I don't mind that information is 5 mins later in homepage than in article either 🙂

    Thoughts on my WC team?

    Ruddy - (Rudd)
Kolorav - Shaw - Gomez (Richards - Steven Taylor)
    Sanchez - Silva - Pedro - Mahrez - (Westwood)
    Aguero - Gomis - Wilson

With 0.1 in the bank, any improvements that need to be made?

My team line up following my wildcard is:

    Cech

    Shaw, Gomez, Kolarov

    Pedro, Mahrez, YaYa, Chadli

    Aguero, Benteke, Wilson

    Bench: Schemichel, Redmond, Huth, Ward

My last chance today to make final changes to the WC. Considered the following change:

    A) Benteke, Chadli > Gomis, Ozil

    or

    B) Benteke, Pedro > Diouf, Sanchez

    or

    C) Leave the current team as it is

why would you get rid of Benteke before facing a poor west ham defense? I'd keep the team you have, looks good
