Christian Eriksen remains sidelined for Tottenham’s home clash with Everton. Arsene Wenger has central defensive concerns ahead of Arsenal’s trip to Newcastle, Diafra Sakho is expected to overcome a groin problem for the Hammers, whilst Palace receive mixed injury news in midfield ahead of their visit to the Bridge.

Arsene Wenger could be without both his first choice centre-backs once again at Newcastle this weekend. Per Mertesacker is still sick, while Laurent Koscielny will be assessed later today – the former is less likely to be fit, according to the Gunners boss. Danny Welbeck is progressing well following his knee injury and could return after the international break.

Diafra Sakho looks likely to overcome a groin problem in time to face Liverpool, according to Slaven Bilic. Elsewhere, Kevin Nolan has left the Hammers by mutual consent.

Brendan Galloway remains a doubt for Everton after being forced off with a knee problem last weekend. Roberto Martinez has also confirmed that John Stones “will be ready” to face Spurs, despite Chelsea’s ongoing interest.

Mile Jedinak suffered a hamstring injury in the midweek Capital one Cup clash, and will be out of action for two to three weeks, suggests Alan Pardew. Meanwhile Pardew has revealed that Yannick Bolasie will return to the Palace squad this weekend, following the death of his father last week. Connor Wickham could return from a rib injury, though Julian Speroni remains out and is expected to return to full training next week.

Watford have no fresh injury worries but will be without summer signing Miguel Britos, who is set to serve a three-match ban for violent conduct after being sent off in the Capital One Cup earlier this week.

Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed that Christian Eriksen remains sidelined with a knee injury. Andros Townsend is back in training however, and could be available. Pochettino has also admitted it’s unlikely that he’ll start new boy Clinton Njie due to fitness reasons, whilst the Spurs boss confirmed that Danny Rose – who has yet to start a league match – is now fully fit after sustaining a problem against Real Madrid during pre-season.

Norwich boss Alex Neil has stated that the club have suspended forward Lewis Grabban until next Tuesday, due to disciplinary reasons. Martin Olsson is expected to step up his recovery with a run out for the U21’s today.

Sadio Mane looks set to be available for Southampton’s clash with Norwich. The Senegal international recovered from a hip injury sustained at the weekend and was an unused sub in last night’s Europa League loss to FC Midtylland.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream as breaking news unfolds.

Chelsea will be in the top 4 for clean sheets at the end of the season no doubt so it makes sense to have one

I wouldn't pick one at the moment, especially as there's a bit of uncertainty around exactly what the preferred back four will be this season.

50/50. I reckon Chelsea defence will come good, it's just City have nice fixtures and United and Liverpool defences are going strong.

    With this attack:

    Ayew / Mahrez / Hazard / Sterling / Ritchie
    Wilson / Pellé / Aguero

    would you:

    a) bench Ritchie
    b) bench Ayew
    c) bench somebody else
    d) play all out attack

I'm inclined towards (a) at the moment, and hope that Wilson will get points if Bournemouth play well.

    Repost, bottom(ish) and no replies.

Just when I thought I was finished...not having Sanchez is now messing with my head:

    a) Hazard, Depay, Azpil and Kolorov (currently)

    b) Sanchez, Pedro, Shaw and Kolorov

    c) Sanchez, Pedro, Azpil and Sagna

    d) Sanchez, Pedro and some other defensive combo costing 11.4 or less

(already have Gomez, Francis and Saylor)

Son is exactly what Spurs need imo - a goal threat from out wide to take the burden off Kane.

What price are we predicting on FPL? Mid or forward?

    1. matt0101
      • 10 Years
      10 years, 7 months ago

I will definitely be looking to get him in my side, hopefully under 7.5m but unfortunately I imagine he will be a ST. He's got a solid record though and one of those players I can see doing well

Agreed probably a fwd which ruins his FPL potential a bit, but with Sanchez and Pedro as mids there's hope.

They do for sure - but the situation is not quite as bad now. With Kane, N'Jie and Son they can probably avoid being held to ransom by other clubs.

        • 14 Years

He is, but he's pretty inconsistent. A team needs more than two goalscorers anyway. They've just not had goals from the right side for a long time - Lennon, Dembele, Lamela, Townsend have all struggled to add the finished product that Bale and Chadli have over on the left.

My team generally does best when the biggest of big guns consistently deliver because I try and have as many as I possibly can.

So far they have really all misfired but this gameweek I'm hopefully of turning the corner on that front.

Still prefer Aguero though, and I can't fit them both in my team as it stands. 🙂

Special dispensation I believe, they let him delay it a couple of years. (Park Chu Young as well as Park Ji Sung)

    who do i bench?

    Butland -- Lloris
    Gomez -- Lovren -- Darmian -- Azpil -- Sagna
    Mahrez -- Shaqiri -- Depay -- Yaya -- Chadli
    Aguero -- Wilson -- Benteke

Can't use bench boost otherwise I'd be very tempted

Limited cs potential and not much of a goal threat. Avoid imo

He is in my team, and although I suspect Sunderland will start tightening up at the back, and their fixtures are looking good, I am not holding my breath - he is on the bench.

I hope LVG gives over this "Herrera is a 433 player" bollocks and plays him beside Schneiderlin.

    1. Bauerhaus 24
      • 12 Years

They should be playing 4-3-3 anyway, would suit Herrera perfectly. Carrick and Schneiderlin in the pivot, Herrera going box to box. Januzaj offers nothing, and LVG clearly doesn't want to play Hernandez.

      1. Somalion
        • 16 Years

It'd be perfect, but he's not arsed with 433 by the looks of it. So if he persists with 231 instead, I want him to drop the Herrera crap and just play him.

WC before a DGW and then play bench boost in that Gameweek and then triple captain on the next DGW. It does mean keeping them till the end of the season do as the doublr Gameweeks are likely to be from GW31 onwards. All out Attack chip is a bit random so play it any week really, probably best play it some week your hit by a defensive injury crisis
