The Dugout Discussion – Swansea vs Man United

Sunday’s tea-time kick-off pits two unbeaten sides together, as Swansea City welcome Manchester United to the Liberty Stadium. The Swans recorded a comfortable 2-0 win over Newcastle United in their last home match-up but now face a United unit that’s yet to concede a goal this term.

Garry Monk’s new-look attack has carved through the opposition with consummate ease, placing second for attempts (56) and joint-first for big chances (eight) and shots on target (24). This forward impetus has been balanced by a rigidity at the back, as evidenced by the fact they’ve conceded the fewest shots inside the box (11) of any side.

As for the Red Devils, they’ve limited their opponents to just 22 shots and one big chance in three match-ups. Having kicked off the campaign with back-to-back 1-0 wins, they’ve done just enough on the attacking front, ranking in the bottom half for shots inside the box (19) and shots on target (11).

Rooney easier to muscle off the ball than Januzaj

They only know how to bid for players already at top teams already. I don't think they have a scouting network anymore.

Utd are built for 1-0 wins. Being down is tough with that team.

I can do the following which leaves 0ITB. If I wait beyond tonight, I would be priced out as Wilson rises. Good move?

    Barclay > Pedro

Ugh. Two full transfers. Where to use? Everything feels sideways with GW5.

      Schmeichel (McCarthy)
      Darmian Kolarov Williams (Richards Gomez)
      Mahrez Silva Sanchez Ayew Payet
      Aguero Gomis (Watmore)

      (1) Darmian to Targett and Payet to Pedro (Leaves me thin in back)
      (2) Watmore to Wilson and Richards to Targett (Benching Issue)
      (3) Watmore to Wilson and Payet to Kouyate (Benching Issue)

Really want Pedro long term. But, West Ham and Bournemouth with a nice fixture next week.
