    Question for Leicester fans:

Is Danny Simpson likely to keep his place in the long term?

Looking for a cheapie in defence...

No need to be a Leicester fan to answer this...the answer is No.

It has always been the case like this for him, even when he has shown form..managers somehow don't mind benching him...the new manger maybe different..

          1. Eden Hazardous

Exactly , Tinkerman is different....he does not care about reputation and loves to give young players a chance

    3. LeicesterA

I expect him to continue playing, in light of Da Leats struggles in the position. Da leat will get a run out on Tuesday in the cup though.

Having said that, I think it's probably one position we will look to buy in during the January window. Neither Simpson or De Laet quite cut it in terms of where we want to be defensively and both have elements missing from their game.

So, in short - I expect him to play for the next few months but watch the space.

So Thinking of removing Costa + Hazard + Bolasie for:

    1) Lukaku/Pelle + Mata + KDB (-4)

    2) Rooney/Martial + Barkley/Mane + KDB (-4)

    3) Bony + Barkley/Mane + Mata (-4)

Every week I seem to have fewer Sunday/Monday players than the average, makes me mildly depressed when I check my Saturday night rank as I know it's going to be worse by the end of the gameweek. Just Pelle and KDB left this week.

Not sure yet, I'd certainly like it but I'm trying to think long term. I have 2 FTs so there are options, hard to know who I'd transfer out though, none of my front 8 are a problem as such.

Will I ever learn that you just don't bench Myhill at all. Did anyone else get tempted to put Butland in ahead of him and be wishing on a Norwich goal all afternoon?

    1. GreenWindmill
      • Fantasy Football Scout Member
      11 years, 10 days ago

I'm just annoyed I never got Myhill. Was in my pre-GW1 team all pre-season until a day before the deadline when the Marshall rumours scared me off. My wildcard happened when Lindegard was signed and nobody knew who first choice was. He's a massive irritation frankly!

      1. S.Kuqi
        11 years, 10 days ago

+1 went for Butland instead 😡

I was on Myhill and Butland as my pre-season combo, both looked good value to me. Sometimes a little knowledge is a dangerous thing!

      2. Billy Gilmore
        11 years, 10 days ago

I had no transfers to make a month or so ago. Had a choice of Bentaleb –> Westwood or Panti –> Myhill

    Morning lads!

    Butland McCarthy
    Azpi Kolarov Bertrand Richards Francis
    Sanchez Payet KDB Maherz Westwood
    Martial Pelle Vardy

    3.5 itb, 1 FT

Azpi --> Coleman? Even with Jags out?

What other defensive options would you suggest?

    1. The Blackadder
      • Fantasy Football Scout Member

I will be looking to get in either Bellerin/Monreal or Smalling...possibly both, Azpil and the whole Chelsea set up is too unstable, I for one have had enough.

  11. S.Kuqi
    11 years, 10 days ago

    Which move to make?

    A) Pelle -> Bony (c)

    B) Westwood -> Sterling (kdb captain)

    Template front8:

    Sanchez-Kdb-Payet-Mahrez-Ww
    Lukaku-Pelle-Vardy

    1. Eden Hazardous

        1. S.Kuqi
          11 years, 10 days ago

Bony looks best captain option to me and my rival has him but i would also like to keep Pelle.

Same front 3 and leaning towards shipping Lukaku for Bony

      1. S.Kuqi

        1. Lord of Ings

Prefer City at home to Norwich

    3. Concrete
      11 years, 10 days ago

Same front 3 and I have Mane.
I'm going to look at the stats but I'm leaning towards Pelle due to Everton's fixtures and owning Mane

How many of you play strong front 8 and what are your results so far. Please give avarge over 5-6 GWs at least.
How many times have you managed to pick the right 7, % wise 🙂

    1. Eden Hazardous

I have played strong 8 since GW 4 - failed only once when I benched Vardy against Arsenal

      1. Gr3g
        11 years, 10 days ago

So in all other GWs you have maximized your points from your 7 players?

I think an important part of the question is how many times have you had a no show for a player and been saved by having a decent player on your bench. I think that is the real benefit of a strong front 8

  13. Dacra

Wait and see today, no injured or non starters in your team?

      1. Jay10

McCarthy and Coates. But Lukaku will be a relief for 8-9 weeks with plum fixtures.

        1. Gr3g
          11 years, 10 days ago

2 GWs without any points and you will be looking to get rid, don't think as far as 8-9 GWs 🙂

          1. Jay10
            11 years, 10 days ago

Yes,that can happen to any player, but the fixtures scream points. And having Vardy lessens Mahrez risk and also the Algerian's security of minutes.

    4. LeicesterA

For a draft league (same scoring , except no BAPS)

    Me - Lens , Janmaat , Lamela
    Rival - Sterling , Smalling + 5

    1. Jazz!

Rival probably. Close one though. Depends how Sunderland and Spurs do.

So, I played Butland over Myhill. Worst decision ever.

However, West Brom are now home to Leicester, do I play my Myhill although I have Mahrez and Vardy or do I play Butland who's away to Newcastle.

Aren't Stoke more solid on the road?

    Thoughts?

Both Will Concede mostly but both Are likely to give save points.Start Myhill I guess

    my front 8 are

    Payet/Drinkwater/Sanchez/KDB/Mahrez
    Martial/Pelle/Vardy

    was thinking of
    Martial to Ighalo
    Drinkwater to Ayew/Mata/Ozil
Martial playing wide doesnt look very promising

    worth it?

United have good fixtures coming up, id keep Martial

    Mornin'

Just get some early thoughts on this lot. No real alarms but would like Bony in there for Norwich and Villa

    1FT, 3.5m ITB

    Myhill
    Bellerin Darmian Kolarov
    Sanchez KDB Mahrez Payet
    Pelle Lukaku Vardy

    4.0 / Williams / Richards / WW

    a) Save
    b) Lukaku > Bony
    c) Anything else

      Pelle to Bony?

      1. John Nerdelbaum
        11 years, 10 days ago

Maybe. Would lose value on Pelle though and not on Lukaku

        1. Concrete
          11 years, 10 days ago

Ah right.. It is difficult because they all have good fixtures

City more consistent goal scorers so worth doubling/tripling up

            Yep that's my thinking

      Pelle for Bony or save

      1. John Nerdelbaum

Difficult when everyone has a really good fixture!

    Silva (c) or Bony (c)? - Vs Norwich (H)

Or should I go with Pellé or Manè? V Bournemouth (H)

    1. Billy Gilmore

Silva probably won't even be fit.

I'm pretty sure he's back for this week. If Silva is fit then.

      Norwich are leakier
      City create more
      Bony is a striker

Bony isn't like Aguero though, I don't see him scoring a lot. But you're probably right.

What is there a higher chance of?

    A) West Brom keeping a clean sheet at home to Leicester, a side that has scored in every game but West Brom have kept the most clean sheets.

    B) Stoke keeping a clean sheet away to Newcastle. Stoke have kept clean sheets in their last 2 on the road and are generally more solid.

    Thanks

Both to concede, West Brom tighter at the back on their travels. Go Butland for save points.
