Jose Mourinho’s running out of favour fast and can ill afford to commandeer Chelsea to their fifth defeat in eight matches when Liverpool roll up to Stamford Bridge. Meanwhile, Jurgen Klopp seeks out the first victory of his Reds tenure, following back-to-back draws in the last two Gameweeks.

In the last seven Gameweeks, the Blues have won twice, drawn once and lost four times, underlining their dramatic drop off in form. In the whole of the previous campaign, Chelsea conceded just 11 big chances at Stamford Bridge, but they’ve already allowed 14 this season. Astonishingly, only Bournemouth (three) have notched fewer big chances in their quintet of home matches than Chelsea (four), exposing their deficiencies at both ends of the pitch.

In the two matches that Klopp’s manned the reins, Liverpool carded just one big chance, while only four sides amassed fewer shots on target (five) – giving rise to the second worst shot accuracy in the league (18.5%) over that period. On the flip side, the Merseysiders have kept it tight at the back, surrendering just one goal and big chance during tough match-ups against Tottenham Hotspur and Southampton.

    So much Mourinho hate.
Two major points though, Lucas clearly should have been sent off for a second yellow on Ramires breaking up a counter attack, text book second yellow
Coutinho's equalizer came in the 48th minute when there was supposed to be only 2 minutes added and which you'd normally let go but Chelsea had cleared their lines after the clock went past 47

Chelsea definitely got the tactics wrong though, sitting back on a lead was asking for trouble especially when your defence hasn't been reliable since last season.

this. it's the way he has been forever... someone said to me today mou goes in 3 year cycles...

        Year 1: Build
        Year 2: Win
Year 3: Lose and get the arse...

        strangely accurate

Costa's was a definite red, Lucas's probably was.

And its 2+ mins, so could be anywhere up to 3 mins before time is up.

No way you can say they were hard done by.

      you make me laugh mate.

Lucas could have walked after costa could have as well.

The goal came at roughly 47:20... in the 48th minute but it's always a "minimum of 2 minutes" - always at the refs discretion.

Totally neutral, but really enjoying Chelsea's troubles. They have become a hugely unlikeable club in the last ten years, led by a succession of boorish personalities with a sense of entitlement, epitomised by Mourinho and Terry. Long may they struggle whilst they are the way they are.

Funny how Coutinho was not even mentioned before the match in the FFS comments section. I guess this means FFS forum don't always mention key players, and that jsut because your players arent mentioned, doesnt mean they're gonna flop. 🙂 Congratz to Countinho owners!
