Sunday’s fixtures kick off with Remi Garde’s first match in charge of struggling Aston Villa. The Frenchman’s opener could hardly provide a sterner test, as Manchester City arrive at Villa Park undefeated in their last four and with 13 goals scored in that spell. In contrast, the hosts start the day propping up the table, having slipped to seven consecutive defeats.

Garde’s new charges are without a clean sheet at home all season and have scored just three goals in the process – fewer than any other side in the league. Those statistics firmly indicate an away win, although City’s record on the road suggests that we shouldn’t presume a landslide – Manuel Pellegrini’s side have mustered just seven goals in five road trips.

Certainly, those holding City defenders will be optimistic. Villa rank bottom for shots on target (eight) over the last four Gameweeks, engendering the worst shot accuracy (17.8%) in the league. Although Manuel Pellegrini’s men have managed just one clean sheet in the previous four, they posted impressive underlying statistics on the defensive front, placing second bottom for shots inside the box conceded (13) and big chances conceded (three).

Hard luck Bony owners. He's a good player but I wonder if he's carrying too much weigh for the striker position. Compare him with Vardy whi albeit is naturally a lighter build.

GW12, the week that just keeps on giving to my wildcard team

    Payet injured ✅
    Bony injured ✅
    Jones dropped ✅
    Cedric dropped ✅
    Pelle fail ✅

Just give Sanchez (C) his blank now and let's move on....

think Cedric will be back (Koeman apparently suggested playing Yoshida was tactical to have the option of switching to 3 at the back mid-game if required, according to something another poster posted here).

Payet, Bony, Jones are definite concerns though. Lets hope for your sake you've got 2 FT or a wildcard.

      1. Rusty Nail
        10 years, 12 months ago

Wanted Lukaku 2 weeks ago but was 0.1m short so went Bony. Switched (c) to Bony over Vardy literally last minute. 40 odd points that's cost me. Awful season.

    1. Rusty Nail
      10 years, 12 months ago

I could have afforded lukaku and kane easily I just thought bony was a good option for the next two cost me a ton of points
