Sneaking in late like John Terry in a triumphant team photo, Granville gatecrashes this week’s ScoutCast after we drafted in Andy85WSM as his able replacement.

Andy tag teams with Jonty and myself as we look back ten days at the long forgotten Gameweek 12, before grappling with another round of posers from the community.

We cast tentative votes on the Aguero debate, assess Lukaku’s armband credentials, check that we really can write off Chelsea and question whether time is up for Sanchez in the light of Ozil’s streak of assists.

After all that, Granville parachutes in and we get a few minutes to gloat over his injury-ravaged squad. A worthy cameo contribution.

This episode of the ScoutCast was recorded and broadcast live on Wednesday evening, published via our YouTube channel.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    @Eden

King is so sh1t I don't even have words. I thought people were being ironic about cheering him, but I guess not everyone.
Kasper Schmeichel has better odds of being among the goals

Sure, he may be OOP. Sure, he might be favoured by the mgr. But 8 goals across all competitions in his career...
That's horrible, and I even like the guy.

      kolarov
      otamendi
      bellerin
      koscielny
      moreno
      VVD

are probably the defenders with the most upside in the game. Yes I include Moreno but that does depend on people converting his chances created!

Been away for a couple of weeks now and just catching up with the news....looks like I'm destined to keep Ayew, the crap that I can't seem to flush.

My team is fecked. What can I do with 2 FTs?

    DDG
    Kolarov Naughton Dawson
    Sanchez Mane Mahrez Ayew Payet*
    Pelle Vardy Bony*

    Skrtel; Coloccini - 2 FT, 2.4m banked.

    A) I can get Aguero right away with Payet > 5.0 and less, Bony > Aguero
    B) Payet Bony > Sterling Lukaku
    C) Payet Bony > fodder 5th and Lukaku/Kane...leaving enough in bank to get Aguero soon.

He was effective in the very early part of the season so there's every chance. Antonio hasnt even had a look in. Zarate may get the nod tho.

He's certainly a more flair pick than M'vila. I also prefer the Hammer's fixtures and have more faith in their coach.

Lots to chew on before deadline tomorrow.

Yeah, I highly rate him. Have been scouting him the last couple of weeks before he got a little bit of hype. Still just under the radar mainstream tho so I think he'll make a nice little differential. He'll be on set pieces too.

Couple of tricky fixtures imo so I'll wait for those to pass and then get on I think!

My vice captains have been amazing this season, averaging nearly 8 points a game. (Captains have been terrible in comparison.)

This week it is on Mahrez. So I strongly urge you to captain him if you want a big score!

I thought of swapping it but it all seems like a never ending paradox that I can't win.

I'd go Vardy if he is confirmed to play. His teammates are gunning for him to continue his consecutive goal-scoring form. I can see Mahrez letting him have another penalty unless he already has a goal.

      He's my VC pick though.

I am hoping some news filters through? That might be wishful thinking though.

It's reasonable to assume if Vardy doesn't start, Ranieri won't risk him on for a 15-30min cameo right? That might make a Vardy-C & Mahrez-VC choice much easier to go ahead with.

Team for the week & after some advice appreciated

    Butland
    Kolarov, Smalling, Bellerin
    Sanchez, Ozil, KDB, Mahrez
    Lukaku (c), Vardy, Pelle

    McCarthy, Ake, Redmond, Richards

Do I have my bench in the right order just in case Vardy misses out. Thanks

Also Watford have villa, NOR, sun in the next 3 & these 3 games should see Ighalo score well so I'm surprised to see people wanting to sell him. He's scored 7 goals this season which places him 2nd equal with Lukaku.

Agreed with Elliot. I watched the whole game, he was/has been consistently poor with his finishing.

City didn't had a proper striker. Now I don't expect you to start comparing Bou with City, just like the guy above.

        1. Jape
          • 10 Years

No I'm not comparing Bournemouth with City at all. Just pointing out that your logic is technically the same 🙂

What do you class as a proper striker? Bony and Sterling are more than capable of scoring against anyone let alone Villa, but they just had a bad game.

Also I watched the whole City game. Villa were no mugs, kept ball well, did concede some big chances apart from that they were relatively solid. Maybe new manager effect but also losing their striker early in the first half didn't help.

Myhll - Agaisnt good side, will probably get a few saves, but wba have conceded 3 at home alot

My situation is the same, have got it right most of the time except last week though.

I have 2 Saints attackers and 0 Arsenal attackers so I'm playing Myhill just for a higher points potential.

I understand your frustration. Hennessey has been picking up points on bench as well. I'm benching Myhill this GW. I mean, it's Arsenal so I feel like the best I could get will be Myhill makes a lot of saves.

    DDG - (Butland)
    Bellerin - Kolarov - Alderwiered - (Evans - Moreno)

    Pelle - Vardy - kane

Next week i could do Kolarov ---> 4.4> defender (ward etc)

I'm pretty much late to the King discussion. I get his appeal [price+OPP] but he'd be a 5th MID at best no? Given that most can afford a very good lineup this season. Unless he's transferred in as a Kun enabler, hard to justify the pick IMO.

I concede I might be overlooking other factors but with the amount of benching head-aches a solid front 8 causes, who will anyone bench for him?

    Who would you captain?
Kane or Bolasie (my other players are not captain choices)

I was with Kane but then Whu are good away , even without payet
Bolasie as he is a differential and has the easiest match and on mnf
